Im glad i found this video! I have been looking for load videos with staball and the lighter bullets. looking to try it with the patriot valley arms seneca solids
Sweet. A 0.13" group. That is honestly very impressive. I have never grouped that well. I have been shooting since the 80s. Other than rimfire I can't remember 3 shots literally in the same hole. There is your load. Thank you.
Shooting groups with "full caliber" is more difficult then you think, unless you are using a bench rest setup. Ods he wont be making a 0.13" group again even if he tried 10 more 3-shotgroups. In my experience you can get really nice groups, once.. but never again. Just as a load can spread "bad" the combination shooter and grouping can make even bad loads appear fine. But i would think its a great load, as the load before and after is fine to. I would settle on the mid one, and then focus on basics like trigger, recoil managment etc.
Interesting - I love staball. In my 6,5 CR I’m @ 43.5 with a 140g ELD-M, 2880, SD 4.9, ES 16. Average groups size sub .25 MOA. My gun is particularly fast - 26 inch barrel.
I wondering if your first shot (that went high) was a cold bore shot. If it were down with where the rest groups printed that would also be a great group.
@@RobsReloading QL shows the "Solid Density" of StaBall 6.5 as 1.620 grams/cubic cm. I used your 49 grain H2O case volume. My math for a case full to the top somehow failed at 79?! Maybe that's if there was no airspace...
I’m liking the staball. 43.5gr and a 123 eld is a beautiful thing as well. Great shooting as always!
Thanks for the kind words. I think staball is one of the better ball powders!

Thanks for sharing. Wish I could purchase some staball🙁
You could have had anything and you wished for that?!
Brownells have them right now. ;)
The best group what I watched

Yeah not sure, also first shot in two weeks. But either way good groups across the board
You should try 44.5gr
Hi Rob, what did you notice in recoil reduction with a muzzle brake installed compared to no muzzle brake? Thank you.
Yes muzzle brakes are very helpful in reducing recoil.
What die do you use to resize your brass?
Rcbs full length sizing die
RIP Raymond the Rooster
QL had your top charge at 2896 fps with 61,883 psi and a 103.7% full case.
Interesting numbers there because these loads were not compressed. Probably a grain or 2 under a full case. Velocity seems close though.
