We Flooded Norwelds Car... Wet Season Trip Gone Wrong!

- The boys are off on another adventure! The old faithful Landcruiser with the boat in tow is still there but they have a new 4wd on board.. and it's another BT50 from Norweld! That could prove to be a costly error on Norwelds part as the boys have it bogged and underwater in a matter of hours..

Good effort and attempt Bunji's , You gave it a red hot crack. NORWELD LADS will be proud of you. I've tried that track in the dry also years ago when I lived in Cairns in my single cab 2004 Cruiser Trayback and all them holes in the Rainforest are as still as you got them. Unfortunately the rainforest holds it in but the end of the road is an outstanding reward.
Get that BT 50 detailed but before returning it like that Marc 🤣🤣🤣

I've been in that 'stuck in a bog' situation myself. Some accessory installers like to run accessory cables through the drainage bung in the bottom of the passenger footwell instead of using the firewall. Doesn't help when you're stuck like that.

Most of our water came through the doors and seals but have heard somtories of bad firewall and floor penetrations so definitely something to keep and eye one.
That log was crazy!!!! We honestly were blown away by the size of it when it appeared out of the big hole 🤯

I know that track all too well, i live just back down the road from it. The bog hole you turned around at and the next one are by far the worst. In the dry season the track is heaps easier to drive and you almost always have the beach to your self with a great camping spot on the river on the southern end of the beach

Far out fellas! I caught my first barra at that lagoon on the way in! Ive always eyed that track off hey. Hopefully you end up going back there when its abit drier. I can't wait to get up there.

Did that track with the family for an Australia day long weekend a few years back. Getting in was easy enough but copped 200mm of rain overnight which made the trip out interesting.
Also had the biggest croc we've ever come across float in with the tide past our camp at the southern river mouth.
We feel your pain mate... 😂 Does it get easier as you get to the coast?
There's less mud closer to the beach but some pretty deep holes, had water over the bonnet of an 106hilux and 33s a few times.
There's also a fishing hut and ramp down the end of that dirt road as well if you don't want to drag a trailer in
Wow!. Sounds like the right choice to turn around. Especially with no snorkel on the BT.
Yeh we saw the ramp there but though it would make for an interesting trip towing the boat... We definitely underestimated the track.. 😂

You shouldn’t let a car rest on the park pin. Always best to put the hand brake on as well. In saying that there are a few times (when we were bogged to the axles 😂) that a handbrake wasn’t going to going to help much… 😂
