- Little Switzerland Inn just off the Blue Ridge Parkway is a wonderful destination to stay at. It joins the Diamondback Hwy 226A. The Diamondback is a premier road for motorcyclist and sports cars to drive. It has a great scenic view of the mountains. There is a Mineral Museum about 2.4 miles away.
We just visited there one day out exploring. Beautiful place. Definitely want to go back and stay!
It is really a beautiful place. There are some beautiful places on the Blueridge Pkwy. Their rooms go 75.00 and up.
I have stayed here a few times. The last time, my son crashed his motorcycle on 226a and these folks couldnt have been nicer or more helpful. Fortunately my son only had a broken collarbone and a wrecked bike. The switzerland Inn helped me to sort out a truck, the ambulance and calmed both me and my injured son down . I cant thank them enough and will be staying there again as soon as we can cross that border again. Oh yea, it is also a top notch hotel, you dont need to crash your bike to enjoy a great experience here.
That is a awesome place to stay. Absolutely beautiful scenery. I have rode the entire Blue Ridge Parkway. All the way up and all the way back. Its 469 miles long with about 23 bridges. It end in the Shennadoa Valley of Virginia. It takes 2 days to do it one way and see some of the sites. I loved every second of the ride and there are other places to see on it too. Thanks for the comment. I'm glad your son wasn't hurt to bad. Keep the shiny side up.

Went to the bar/restaurant in little Switzerland...but there was a much cheaper room nearbye with parking for our bikes
They have cheaper cabins in the back area. About 90.00 a night. It is expensive, but it has a beautiful view.
Great video planning on getting down to Asheville this summer. Love these videos helps me decide places to go.
