The Brougham is one of my favorite cars, I wasn’t born before 90 but seeing this car in mob films that drove these, and my grandpa owning one the sound of the car awesome, wire rims and white wall tires, the front and hood was so spacious, I wish I could find this car near me :,(
This video wound up on my feed in 2023 for some reason. 😅 What a classic example of the old school Caddies this one was! I hope whoever bought it from you enjoyed owning and driving it.
holly smoky! this is the best car i ever seen ! I love this car! I'm from Romania, and in this rubish country you don't see cars like this! I wanna see a test drive with a car like this ! Thank you very much for posting!
Seeing this video brings back fond memories for me. My grandma and grandpa had a 1988 Brougham. It was blue with the vinyl top. Had the same engine as this has. Interior was the same, but theirs had analog gauges. Great video. This is one of my all time favorite cars. Gotta love the gold keys.
I added this video to my favorites. This car has a special place in my heart. I have lots of fond memories riding in my grandparents 88 Brougham. It was blue with the soft blue vinyl top. I remember the gold keys as well. Great video like always Kyle.
My grandpa's neighbor has one in black with gold trim that he bought new and never drives. I want it soooo bad but he won't sell it. It is a great example of a great Cadillac. Real nice and shiny.
What a beautiful vehicle! James May of Top Gear drove one of these similar to this when he drove across the southern US with the rest of the Top Gear crew.
My favorite too, I've always loved the look of these Cadillac's since I was younger & I should've done things differently in buying one when new. I still have broschures on this Cadillac model.
my grandmother told me that because my gran is 91 and she's had her 1959 cadillac eldorado convertable since 1959 and it looks great and still runs smoth its done now 530089.2 miles its so good
I have a '94 sedan deville it very nice inside and out but this is the caddy that I wanted the most the '90 had the cool front and rear lights I really like this car nice vid.
Those were pretty much the golden days of digital dashboards. Then they began going right back to guages. Many find it harder to drive with because there is no way to see a needle drop or rise, just a number constantly changing, thus making it a little harder to maintain constant speed. It's also less sporty looking and lacks the "motions" of driving a car. But for a luxury car, this was a state of the art option back then, and will go down in history as a trademark of the past 30 years..
Kyle- these cars are so amazing. I would die if you could find one of the older ones with the factory Diesel. Please look high and low for a Diesel Brougham. You always do great work. I have never been disappointed with any of your videos. Great work. I have a 1981 Oldsmobile 98 4-dr red Diesel and if you are ever driving through NW-Arkansas you are welcome to do a video on it. I think that these 80's-and early 90 era GM cars were by far the neatest cars every built.
Cool this is your favorite car of all time! I loved these cept 4 one thing. They used those cheap seatbelts on the doors which are actually unsafe instead of airbags!
Ooo the days where kids got to walk around those big back seats as parents were driving lol or lay up between the rear window and seat lol i miss those days
@S2500Dog It was usually vacum leaks and carbon build up in the EGR ports and intake that made these Olds 307's run sluggish and made the carburetor lean out. Once the carbon gunk is removed from the engine, they run good and strong and get decent mpg. Most people and mechanics who don't know about carbon build up,blame the carb for driveability problems but the Qjet is actually a decent carb as long as the engine is in good shape.
i loved the tour.i think these cars ride as a boat yet if you can t afford a luxery sedan want to ride as a manager take the fleetwood i bet all fleetwood is larger as a european staionwagon i hope you do more old luxery american sedans i enjoy it
intersting how the dash board (except for the digital read out and different middle part of steering wheel) door panels and pedals more or less were the same since the late 70s
@rockerdriver Yup, real shame, people think a BMW 3 series is a luxury car today with its cramped interior and Stiff as rocks suspension. If I wanted a stiff ride I'd drive my mustang. Wish Ford would not discontinue the Town Car.
yup..my 1985 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz has it aswell, and the 81' model E-body was the first to have the option with climate control and other cool readouts. I love my Caddy.
This car has an Olds 307 V8 with a carb. Only 140 HP but lots of Torque. Optional was a 350 chevy. Also this car is not a Fleewood Brougham, just is a Brougham.
1990, 22 years ago. I was really amazed to see that this car had a digital dashboard. Being 22 years old I didnt think digital dashboards were out back then, that is amazing.
Now this is the best Fleetwood Brougham of all (80-92)....not the newer 93-96. These are much better quality, much more exiting and the best styling from Cadillac.
***** I believe this was the best and most popular body style of this Fleetwood Brougham. These cars never really died like most other cars and have remained a top favorite. Its rival the Lincoln Town Car was also a great car with a great body style. I like the Town Car up to 1997. I'm not crazy at all for the newer 98+ Lincoln or the 93-96 Brougham.
I liked the Town Cars as well, preferably '80 - '89 but the '90 - '97 was good too, but I prefer the Broughams. I also agree the replacement Fleetwoods weren't on the same level once they started going to plastic everything.
shred5 Yes totally agree! I also love the Lincoln Town Car's very much myself. The Town Car's best years to me were from 1980-1997. They completely changed in 1998-2011 but they just don't grab me as the pre-98 Town Cars do. But honestly, I would choose the Lincoln Town Car over the Cadillac Fleetwood brougham for a few reasons. I just helped a friend go back to driving a Town Car once again. This friend of mine use to drive an 88 Town Car and then sold it during when our economy tanked around 07-08 and went to driving a cheap little Kia. Got rid of the Kia and is now driving a 97 Town Car Signature series and couldn't be any happier!
AMCNorthstar 93 funny, I was driving a Buick Electra around that time until it was totaled in 2009, and I will be picking up a '92 Brougham on Thursday. When you say you would choose the Town Car over the Fleetwood Brougham, you mean the '93 - '96? That's a tough call for me, but I might actually pick the Town Car here too where I'd normally pick GM > Ford.
shred5 Yes it's a tough call for me too but I would choose the Lincoln Town Car a little more myself and especially over the 93-96 Fleetwood models. I'm actually more of a Ford guy but I do love my Cadillac's and especially Northstar V8 Cadillac's a lot. I always recommend both Lincoln's and Cadillac's to everyone that appreciate old school luxury in a modern day car.
Please someone do this with a D'Elegance package 90-92 Brougham... Its very important that people know how rare the D'Elegance Package was because the pillow seating would cost you about 3k or about 10% of the cars original price
Dz Gaming I have the D'elegance with the button tuffted velour interior . I just had an insurance agent tell me that the velour interior is the rarest and most valuable as most people opted for leather . I bought my Brougham new . It is the best car I have ever owned , even better than my 2017 CT6 which was nearly $100,000.
Lincoln rushed their digital dash to market after Cadillac offered it in the Seville for the 1979 model year. The 79 Seville was available with the digital dash and a full blown trip computer. Lincoln stole that idea from Cadillac.
Some starting problems there? I got a 1990 Fleetwood and wow is it so much better than the Brougham. Great shape like mine though. And great detailed video! However mine starts with the key turn lol
She's difficult to start up or it was a first test ? Those Cadillac's are so beautiful ! How about the price for a car in those conditions ? How/Where to put a new autoradio ?
Oh how i love the sound of a Cadillac horn . sounds just like a Train coming . Cadillac my favorite car still tell this day .
jerseytoman1212 for me all GM old models are fantastic..
Is. It. For. Sale
¨Last of the REAL Cadillacs....
A CLASSIC
So true.
The Brougham is one of my favorite cars, I wasn’t born before 90 but seeing this car in mob films that drove these, and my grandpa owning one the sound of the car awesome, wire rims and white wall tires, the front and hood was so spacious, I wish I could find this car near me :,(
I heart these Caddy's!! My Grandfather had 4 of them and i used to love them and still do.
I would love to have one of these! A lot of people don't like that "floaty-boaty" feel, but I love that! Nice smooth, quiet ride in real Detroit iron!
These cars are just beautiful, that interior with the wood trim, that vinyl roof, that chrome...
This video wound up on my feed in 2023 for some reason. 😅 What a classic example of the old school Caddies this one was! I hope whoever bought it from you enjoyed owning and driving it.
I'm buying a '92 with the 5.7L v8. Same color and also extremely clean.
oh lovely 😍 In my opinion it was and still is the best and most beautiful classic American car
I agree.
Chrome fenders make the car look like it's wearing adult diapers
@@pontiacGXPfan Way better than plastic.
holly smoky! this is the best car i ever seen ! I love this car! I'm from Romania, and in this rubish country you don't see cars like this! I wanna see a test drive with a car like this ! Thank you very much for posting!
glad you have an appreciation for big american rwd v8 powered cars.
I like how the warning lights on the dash hidden behind the woodgrain. I always thought that's cool.
Cars with long hoods and big engines look good.
They sure do.
You sure got that right.
Analog is more fashionable, the digital is to cheesy for todays standards
I added this video to my favorites. This car has a special place in my heart. I have lots of fond memories riding in my grandparents 88 Brougham. It was blue with the soft blue vinyl top. I remember the gold keys as well. Great video like always Kyle.
Awesome Cadillac! Don't see them as clean like this anymore. Made the year I was born.
almost 21 years old and it still looks brand new, LOVE IT!
i really like when in 6:00 the highway noise goes away, so quiet in there
My grandpa's neighbor has one in black with gold trim that he bought new and never drives. I want it soooo bad but he won't sell it. It is a great example of a great Cadillac. Real nice and shiny.
27 yrs later that car is still a boss!
I love your early videos
White Crown I agree , I wish he would make more reviews about classic cars like this .
A beautiful classic. Great video!
That thing looks brand-new!
What a beautiful vehicle! James May of Top Gear drove one of these similar to this when he drove across the southern US with the rest of the Top Gear crew.
My favorite too, I've always loved the look of these Cadillac's since I was younger & I should've done things differently in buying one when new. I still have broschures on this Cadillac model.
old vehicles are the very best of all time.....
The woodgrain and warning lights behind are so clever!
I love the cadilac very clean and it has a huge trunk
It's got that big, loud Cadillac horn too... ..damn, I've always loved these cars.
my grandmother told me that because my gran is 91 and she's had her 1959 cadillac eldorado convertable since 1959 and it looks great and still runs smoth its done now 530089.2 miles its so good
That is indeed one beautiful car and I would love to have it in my garage to drive it on Sundays only!
Man! That's a beautiful looking Cadillac there. Nice!
I BROKE UP WITH MY FOREIGN CAR & FELL IN LOVE WITH A CADILLAC.
Thank you Kyle for posting and finding this car. It is appreciated. Nice review.
I have a '94 sedan deville it very nice inside and out but this is the caddy that I wanted the most the '90 had the cool front and rear lights I really like this car nice vid.
Man I love that car I wish you still had it
Now this is the best 1990 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham I ever seen!!!
Good video Kyle!!! =D
I've always wanted to get one of these and drop a 454 in it. It would be the ultimate sleeper:)
These are my dream cars.
I love that caddilac horn!
WOW! Almost show room condition. NIIIICE!
its a pimpmobile plain and simple... i love it

Awesome Car , I love these big boats !

Great Car and your videos are the best!
I love that model Cadillac.
I want it as well,I love theses

Such beautiful cars. Great video my friend.
Beautiful Car - As Always!!!
Cool this is your favorite car of all time! I loved these cept 4 one thing. They used those cheap seatbelts on the doors which are actually unsafe instead of airbags!
I have a 1987 Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance. Beautiful.
Very clean, my favorite Lac.
I have a 92 brougham love it .
Ooo the days where kids got to walk around those big back seats as parents were driving lol or lay up between the rear window and seat lol i miss those days
what a beautiful car
Beautiful interior.

What a classic
out of all the cars in this class of my generation, this was always my favorite. too bad they stopped making the fleetwood on the D body in 93
just like the one James May drove from Miami to New Orleans on that one Top Gear episode
BEST CAR EVER !!
Bet it took some time to find this beautiful car, Kyle. It's an odd request, but a video on a Dodge Shadow would be neat. Thanks!
I have a 1988 Brougham if you ever want to tour it.
the 1987-1992 Cadillac Brougham was assembled in
Arlington Assembly, United States
Detroit Assembly, United States
Great video and car! I rarely request for videos Kyle, but could you do the white BMW 3-Series at 00:16 if possible?
@biglinc1 the 92 to 96 were a seperate vehicle not an interior option and they rock I would love a video of one from Kyle.
love the horn!
damn!!! love that car!!
This car has an Olds 307 V8 with a carb. Only 140 HP but lots of Torque. Optional was a 350 chevy. Also this car is not a Fleewood Brougham, just is a Brougham.
@saabkyle04
haha well the sound system played it very well lol!
looks just like my cadillac :)
1990, 22 years ago. I was really amazed to see that this car had a digital dashboard. Being 22 years old I didnt think digital dashboards were out back then, that is amazing.
I used to have a 87 Brougham DeElegence blur on blue had to sell it when I moved out west and because of high gas prices.
God I miss these love boats.
1977-1992
I can see it... James May getting rear-ended by Jeremy and Hammond.
Old Cadillacs were the sexiest Cadillacs.
Now this is the best Fleetwood Brougham of all (80-92)....not the newer 93-96. These are much better quality, much more exiting and the best styling from Cadillac.

i see a VW passat sitting there i was wondering if you could do a video on that because theres not many videos of those on youtube:) thanks
First GM car with digi-dash was the 1979 Cadillac Seville.
Please someone do this with a D'Elegance package 90-92 Brougham... Its very important that people know how rare the D'Elegance Package was because the pillow seating would cost you about 3k or about 10% of the cars original price

@sabbathian my chevy caprice from 1989 has 260000 miles an still works perfect.

Classic American metal! Yeah!!!
I had mine when gas was 89cents but I still own a deville
I remember those gas prices.
There is only one flaw for me with this car and that is the digital gauges. Ive never been big on digital.
She's difficult to start up or it was a first test ?

make it black and you got yourself the perfect mobster car :)
@supreme2005 Yes. This was the last year for that engine.
