Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed this 2 phase including a transition/transformation phase for Alrecchino! So last week I watched Oppenheimer and I was mesmerised by the original soundtrack of it, composed by Ludwig Göransson. There are a lot of interesting things I noticed in the OST. Several of those was the use of pulsating violins (sidechaining the strings) and a lot of stingers. I really liked the techniques Ludwig used in Oppenheimer and thought it would be fun to implement some of the techniques to this Arlecchino theme. I won’t go deep on the backstory so I apologise for that since I am not entirely fit now. Got a sore throat and felt fatigue since 2 days ago but feeling a lot better now, so I hope you understand! However, some of you might notice that phase 2 wasn’t an unfamiliar track heheh, it is a modified version of the Arlecchino theme I did several months ago. It was also a fun challenge I wanted to do and that is to compose a phase 1 and a transition phase that’ll lead up to an existing track. I hope it turns out good! There is nothing much to say aside from the points above so once again, I hope you enjoyed listening to these themes and as always, I hope you all have an absolutely good day everyone! The first phase really feels like arlecchino will end all of humanity and destroy everything in its way, It really captures how the fatui are, no fear no mercy. Love the inspiration from oppenheimer, this is a masterpiece
I can directly imagine how in the first phase we are fighting on a stage with dark shadows with models of fatoui soldiers, and Arlecchino is sitting in the viewer's chair, as in a trailer. In the transitional phase, all the shadows burst and merge with her. In the second phase, she herself gets up from her seat and quickly attacks (the attack is similar to dark fuhua from honkai), and in parallel with her, her shadows with bright luminous red crosses in place of the eyes
This theme and Scara’s are now my top two favorite tracks you made, it’s so clean and crisp and foreboding. She sounds so terrifying as an enemy! Great job!
Listening to your version and the beta theme of phase 1 is truly a huge difference. Yours is more epic but the beta ost is more sinister. Still a great effort!!
You are spot on I think haha. I created these boss themes more to the epic side rather than sinister. And I personally think the beta theme really captured that sinister feeling perfectly! Thank you for checking out my fan-made theme and I am glad you enjoyed it!
This is definitely a step up from your previous version, which was already pretty amazing, you've really captured the, um, demon in wolfs clothing? ('cause frankly who the heck would look at this woman and think that she's anything like a sheep) aspect of her character, phase 1 feels very controlled, very rhythmic, like she's in full control and is testing/toying with us the entire time but then after she gets 2-shot ('cause frankly unless they give her as much health as Raiden that's what's bound to happen, I've got to remember _not_ to bring my main team so that I can actually enjoy the fight) she moves onto the second phase which, while not complete chaos, definitely feels like she's beginning to lose it due to all the various very different overlapping elements you've used in it, I have minimal musical knowledge so I don't have words to properly describe what I'm trying to say but do you get my point? Either way, great theme as usual, 10/10, as usual.

The Fatui latimotif is so strong with this and I'm living for it. You composed this and made it so extremely satisfying and sick. The amount of chills that I receive from this is insane, loving it!
Awesome theme! I love the use of strings and synth used from the Oppenheimer ost! It really brings out the emotion of a scene. I hope it’s used sometime in the game. I imagine Arlecchino having many unspoken emotions with her running an orphanage to train future Fatui soldiers. She reminds me of Isabella from the Promised Neverland, what is really going on in her head I wonder? Genshin does tend to have small but subtle references to various media in the game, so I don’t doubt there may eventually be a reference to the movie maybe come Snezhnaya, since it’s the most technologically advanced region in Teyvat. I can imagine the Tsaritsa or Pierro saying something like “Traveller, Celestia is death. A destroyer of worlds. We must be ready to take them down if we truly want a peaceful world.” But if the Fatui have the same destruction capabilities as the Gods in the heavenly abode, how would they be any better?
Honestly, she reminds me of Cocolia too, who ran an orphanage in Siberia. She was a powerful member of Anti-Entropy and the children in the orphanage ended up fighting on the battlefield, like how Sin Mal was in the Xuanyuan side-quest. She also did experiments on Seele because of her stigma, which ended up making Seele disappear into the Sea of Quanta. So Bronya went to save her by having the experiments be done on her in her place.😅

I want to know more about Arlecchino's background the most. I mean, we got a woman who was an elemental being of pure Pyro, the "son" of the Raiden Shogun, a former mage of a fallen kingdom, and then a human who gained the powers from the Abyss itself. What kind of power could she possibly possess?
She's truly an interesting character indeed. I read somewhere (not sure if it's true) that she wasn't wearing any gloves on her hands and in fact that is her real hand. So maybe what happened to the hillichurls happened to her as well?
@FarabiHasanMusic the fatui have been known to visit the Abyss, so it's possible, but remember the whole point of the Fontaine trailer, not everything you see is true. Childe used go fight there for training, Scaramouche never liked the Abyss, What makes Arlecchino mad if the fatui are the ones behind the oritrise and she had no idea that they planned to destroy Fontaine with the prophecy, we will see. 4.1 is scheduled on the 27th of September,If anyone plans on destroying Fontaine, they have to deal with Arlecchino because that's her homeland, which she cares about. Also, this is amazing execution on this one mixing The Fontaine themes, the clock like ticking, the portions from the Fontaine trailer, this is the closest to what they have in store, again Great Work.

if you've heard the song Damnation Flame by Amaranthe, that song fits Arlecchino so perfectly its insane. Even got some Fontainian themes in the middle part

God, this SOOOOO COOL!! Honestly, the addition of the whole first phase, just made the 2nd phase hit SO MUCH HARDER compared to when we just had it in the old video!! so cool!!!
I love both this and the original theme.❤ I feel like they are portraying totally two different vibes (which is understandable because when this was made, we didn't know almost anything regarding arlecchino's true character). I think that a mash between the two would be great, with this being the outside perception of arlecchino (self-centered, seeing people as expandable, only working for herself, very dark) as the first half. The 2nd half would be her canon theme that shows her true character (still manipulative and very strict, but not so self-centered and ruthless as seen from outside, a little more hopeful).
YOOO I JUST STARTED PLAYING IT THIS IS SO COOL WHAT?? The more electronic elements remind me of Before the Light Fades (Marana boss music) which was a super cool track. It's a shame it only got played once. Then the Fatui motif coming in is so cool, I love how it sounds more like composed and menacing. (Is that some kind of stringed instrument? I'm not good with instruments haha.) And the sort of bell-like / xylophone-ish sounds in the background too. Also WHAT THERE'S A TRANSITION PHASE TOO? That's so cool. Love the buildup there, it sounds a bit like Childe's boss theme? Like the short series of 4-5 notes descending downwards in some parts. And Phase II is a big step up from the original music you made too. Sounds like there are some similar patterns to the Scaramouche battle theme you made and some other tracks I can't place.
This is great! It gives me some CoD World at War vibes, the tension, the feeling of despair, of chaos, of destruction... This is very good! I also love you include a bit of Signora theme and the choir in the second phase gives it a divine aspect which is very nice! Great job!
That sounds amazing!!! At start I thought it was something apocalyptical which I listened a lot tho on 1:10 it got that Harbinger Symphony (or what they call the short part you) And after it built up on rocket speed It is amazing!! I'm not even talking about 3:30 those over there sounds epic!!

Huge reason was because I was heavily inspired by Oppenheimer's soundtrack for this theme! Oppenheimer's OST was composed by Ludwig Goransson, the same composer who made Tenet's soundtrack ahaha
Idk if it was Intentional or Not, Knowing you it probably was But I absolutely Love the Little Reference to Childe's Phase 3 Theme. Like the Very Beginning Segment of that Theme. I heard it a few times In This Track Though it was slowed down. It was really cool intentional or not

I know you already made a theme for Xiao, I don't know if you mind if I share an idea, I think that one day Xiao could become a weekly boss dominated by karma, and we travelers must fight against him. I can only imagine what this battle could be like, I think a "boss theme" from Xiao would be amazing. Always listening to your compositions, great work always!

That's a spot on analysis from you! I notice Hoyo tend to go for those trap type beats in their boss themes. I purposefully didn't include any of them since after all, this is a fan-made and I don't intend it to mimic their original themes 100%. I hope you still enjoyed it though!

Thank you so much for your kind words, glad you enjoyed it! I use Logic Pro X since I'm using a Macbook, highly recommended if you are an Apple user. However if you aren't, there are a lot of other programs you can use. I personally find Ableton and FL Studio quite beginner friendly as the design is quite simple and straight forward. Most programs offer a trial version though so try as many programs as you can since at the end it all leads to personal preference. Hope this helps!

if you've heard the song Damnation Flame by Amaranthe, that song fits Arlecchino so perfectly its insane. Even got some Fontainian themes in the middle part

I love both this and the original theme.❤ I feel like they are portraying totally two different vibes (which is understandable because when this was made, we didn't know almost anything regarding arlecchino's true character).
I think that a mash between the two would be great, with this being the outside perception of arlecchino (self-centered, seeing people as expandable, only working for herself, very dark) as the first half. The 2nd half would be her canon theme that shows her true character (still manipulative and very strict, but not so self-centered and ruthless as seen from outside, a little more hopeful).

YOOO I JUST STARTED PLAYING IT THIS IS SO COOL WHAT?? The more electronic elements remind me of Before the Light Fades (Marana boss music) which was a super cool track. It's a shame it only got played once. Then the Fatui motif coming in is so cool, I love how it sounds more like composed and menacing. (Is that some kind of stringed instrument? I'm not good with instruments haha.) And the sort of bell-like / xylophone-ish sounds in the background too. Also WHAT THERE'S A TRANSITION PHASE TOO? That's so cool. Love the buildup there, it sounds a bit like Childe's boss theme? Like the short series of 4-5 notes descending downwards in some parts. And Phase II is a big step up from the original music you made too. Sounds like there are some similar patterns to the Scaramouche battle theme you made and some other tracks I can't place.

This is great! It gives me some CoD World at War vibes, the tension, the feeling of despair, of chaos, of destruction... This is very good! I also love you include a bit of Signora theme and the choir in the second phase gives it a divine aspect which is very nice!

Huge reason was because I was heavily inspired by Oppenheimer's soundtrack for this theme! Oppenheimer's OST was composed by Ludwig Goransson, the same composer who made Tenet's soundtrack ahaha

That's a spot on analysis from you! I notice Hoyo tend to go for those trap type beats in their boss themes. I purposefully didn't include any of them since after all, this is a fan-made and I don't intend it to mimic their original themes 100%.

I use Logic Pro X since I'm using a Macbook, highly recommended if you are an Apple user. However if you aren't, there are a lot of other programs you can use. I personally find Ableton and FL Studio quite beginner friendly as the design is quite simple and straight forward. Most programs offer a trial version though so try as many programs as you can since at the end it all leads to personal preference. Hope this helps!
