The reason why most covers fall flat to me is because most people artificially set the barrier of using only the cheesy default SMPS patches and samples. They're fine, but they get boring when artists make it seem like Sonic was the only game on Genesis. Retro game consoles are seen more as an aesthetic than an instrument.
Hey hi! Im currently working on a fairly large Sonjc 2 (2013) mod and ive got plans to add this zone among a few others. Would I be able to use this track? Full credit would be given where its due, of course. If not, thats totally chill! Just figured i should ask anyways! Thanks :]
It took 5 years to get a good, hardware accurate YM2612 cover of this song...
fr i'm pissed
@@johntayjinf we need to celebrate Mania's 5th birthday

i refuse to believe this game is nearly 5 years old
@HoloKola Gaming i still remember being so excited over mania, jesus christ
You're the only person I could think of that can cover Studiopolis flawlessly. You and Savaged Regime.
I’m starting to think that if this guy had been around in the 90s Sega wouldn’t have needed the CD add on for Sonic CD’s music.
...so what was that about not being able to do this? Keep this up man! You're really fucking good at this!
i found a piano tutorial and i eventually pushed through lol life is strange sometimes
We finally got an excellent remix of this song.
THERE IS NO WAY MANIA IS MORE THEN HALF A DECADE OLD....
longer
Tried this on real hardware, sounds amazing, you're really talented at these mixes.
This is a god tier remix! I'd love to hear a mega drive rendition of Act 2!

It would be funny if you made it sound like collision chaos from Sonic CD
