The fact these two fought in pools just shows how stacked the Dream hack bracket was
Has nothing to do with it, pools is a coin toss in any tournament. And tops seeds often knock out others before matches go to main stage in pools, it’s just not common at all that they get video coverage.

I think the S2 changes has many players simply not doing 2 DR extensions in one combo.
Though using Lvl 3 there but not cashing out drive is a weird choice regardless lol

yep. With the new combo 3 bars is all you need to deal around 5k+ in a punish combo

Idom is one of those heroes that tries to prove that a low tier character can be competitive. And pay the price for it.
He is one of those guys that try to be elite, but is actually just mid... character doesn't matter.

I respect idom for sticking with the low tier character. I hope he's more successful this season with the buffs Manon received. My gut feeling says it won't be enough though 😐

***I’m gonna post this on Chris T’s channel as well - but AG, today is 6-10-2024. Did they suddenly make Ken’s RH Jinrai Loop harder? It seems 10x harder for me to connect that first hit. Seems like they made it as hard as the target combo light Jinrai juggle!
Or am I crazy? I used to easily get in matches, cr. Short short, cr. Fierce into heavy RH Jinrai loop, now I can hardly get to work in training mode?

udon definitely could have brought it to final round game 3. The choice to go for a lv3 instead of back throwing and pressuring the stun was a very weird choice, ultimately not doing so led to his losing when he had a comfortable position. His alternate combo routes were sloppy too, does anyone know if he’s playing other games?
I wouldve just cmd grab level 5 instead of SA3 on that last round and then tried to put more pressure but I'm not a pro, maybe SA3 gives more time to mentally prep for the last interaction attempt
It's tricky against an aggressive Ken but Idom needs to parry a lot more to slip him up

@@rundown132 I know the character ain't that strong but I mostly meant the choices he made during the matches. Nerves can get to people so I understand him, but its frustrating. I got into this game because of him and his Manon

I love how people blame Manon for his loses when really he keeps choking during tournaments and does some blatantly bad moves in situations that could win him a match. For example at 7:35 he literally could have chipped out angry bird had he done qcb + mk instead of hk or he could have even killed after landing the DI if he actually knew her combos better. The fact that he did a sub optimal combo into level 3 and then didn’t use the correct special for the chip kill and then decided to use the correct special but only after burnout was over which left him wide open to get killed is absurd. The dude was never the best Manon and certain isn’t the best SF6 pro. He gets by on fundamentals but sucks at adapting and closes out matches in SF6.

That's cause all the other fighting games are DEAD. 😂🤣🤣🤣 Tekken 8 is lucky to even be on stream next to SF, otherwise T8 be like MK1. LOL. Both game had the worst launch, the network were utter garbage and gimmicky glitch play. This is why SF6 won fighting game of the year award.

As a Master Manon player myself, He didn't have to use lvl 3 when he used DI at the end of round 2, he had 5 medals, it's pretty much the same damage. Bad choices! He was supposed to use command grab and play it safe and save his lvl 3 for the last round. He had all the tools to win a last round and just made bad choices at the end. Fuck it hurts, Come on iDommmm
Mid players simply make bad choices, that's why dom is mid... it won't change.
Idom needs to abandon Manon. Imagine being a world champion and being so stubborn that you choose to handicap yourself by playing a weak character on purpose. This is why the birds are top tier. Willing to adjust when needed.
do you think he would have won using a different character? He is already going against a ken that is well rounded.
@@richr161 I think if he dropped Manon 10 months ago and focused on someone top tier he would have made it to capcom cup or close. He has the skill he is just to stubborn to admit he made a poor choice and switch. Every day that goes by and I watch him continue that path is just sad. Dudes got potential. Just won't do anything with it.

Idom can bring out 100% out of Manon but Manon cannot bring 100% ouf of Idom and he seems to not realize this which in itself talks about knowledge and experience. If you are going to play Manon at 100% but be yourself at 60% because you are restricted by the character that does not fit you while your opponent plays Ken at 100% and himself be at 90% then you will most likely going to lose. And this is not all because there are times when 120% of the character played and 100% of yourself is needed to win in top sixteen.
Capcom please, bring Laura or Poison back. I'm pain for my boy iDom😢

Manon sucks I dont get why he keeps picking her. Yes I get it, you have to seperate yourself from the crowd but she doesnt even have Zangeifs strength
