- moving into RISD (rhode island school of design)! if u don't know what that is it's an art college in rhode island ! here's my short little vlog as requested, sorry it's not super long or interesting but i hope y'all enjoy it anyways :)

Just wanted to say that I also moved really far from home to go to college. Literally understand what you're feeling 10000000%. To the point where I nearly moved back home after a week of being here, but I have grown so much as an artist, especially being surrounded and supported by other creatives. I know it sounds insanely cliche, but it's true, this is the beginning of something incredible for you and we all cannot wait to see it!

What you're going through is totally normal and everything will be okay! Omg I get it. Leaving from a small town to a big city is scary. Feeling very alone and nowhere to turn to is overwhelming. It's so difficult to see you cry because I know exactly how you feel. I left my bf, family, and everything I knew back home to go to the big city to get my degree. But listen, it'll be the best years of your life. You learn so many new things, meet so many people, and discover new places. And you'll grow so much from that ❤ It's hard the first week or two, but you'll start to discover who you are as an individual and as an adult, and that is a beautiful thing. We all love and support you, and we wish you all the best on your new journey ❤️

(don't be afraid to cry because of your emotions, it's complete normal! I was literally shaking the first few days at my uni because it was in another city and I never was outside of my hometown xD)
You'll do amazing Camila!! Moving from Texas to the east coast is such a culture shock, but just from observing your personality from social media I know you're going to thrive!! I graduated in May, and my biggest advice is to make as many art friends as you can so you'll have company in the studios when you stay there well into the night :D

You're gonna do fine. I just put some of my (few) artworks on my dorm wall. Being away from home - family, dog, friends, restaurants, hangouts - is tough at first, but as long as you keep busy, remind yourself why you're there, and do you best to learn more than you already know, you'll be just fine. Proud of you.

i started watching u like a year ago and have been hooked ever since, watching u makes me want to paint more and draw more and i hope that i can be as good as you at some point in the future! i also took inspo from ur video where u and ur best friend drew each other and asked my best friend to do it with me when we meet up! i’ll upd this comment when that happens and how it went lol. i rlly enjoy your videos and u inspire me a lot. seeing ur journey until this point was fun and i wish u the best throughout college and stuff!

first starting college is an incredibly overwhelming experience! i remember my first week of college like it was yesterday (it's been 5 years) and i cried like a baby everyday 🤪 i promise u will find ur own slice of home at school and believe me when i say all of ur peers are all feeling the exact same way, even if it doesnt seem like it. ur doing great!!

Good luck in college!! My tip is to just go in there and experience everything you can!! Meet people, see cool things, and really get into your classes like art history bc they really do become a big source of inspiration, which will give you an extra boost of creativity for projects!

i’m only in 10th grade but RISD is my dream school!! It sounds so scary to move so far and go to college for the first time, but you can definitely do it :D Btw I also do realistic art and you are a huge inspiration to me, i love love love your interesting “take” on realistic art. It certainly makes it more “artistic” than mine 😅 (which just look like bad photos lmao) i’m excited to see your experience at school!! Good luck !!

This makes me so happy to see you attending risd :((( I went to the precollege program this summer and had some of the best moments of my life. I fell in love with the school and my abilites have just blossomed even more. I wish you the best time

i went to RISD starting in 2015, and seeing all the familiar sites i visited with my friends was amazing!! waterfire is my absolute FAVORITE haha - we went so often that all of my clothes started to smell like woodsmoke. i wish you the absolute best of luck! you belong in any art school you want to go to, no contest. thank you so much for sharing this video, and remember to eat and take care of yourself!

It’s hard in the beginning of college, especially being far away from what you’ve grown up with, but you will find your people!!!! & the class environment will become more comfortable to you!! I’m not sure what it’s like at an art college but since you’re in a dorm, I’d hope they have some type of resident life programs put on by RAs, it’s a great way to meet people in your building and make friends, while doing whatever fun activity they have planned. Never be afraid to ask your RA (if you have a RA) questions about campus or anything for that matter, if they don’t have the answer they will know where to guide you to get the answer. You’re gonna slay college, you got this!!! 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 from a follower since your tiktok blew up in March 2022
