Tibet and India shared border for 2000+ years, and not a single war or clash. China shares border with India in last 60 years, multiple war and clashes. Thats why Tibet needs to a independent country bring peace in Asia.

      Lol u Indian have nothing.
U literally use the British occupation of South Asia as an excuse to justify your presence there.
The Chinese have maps 1000s years old.... Ethnic relations going back centuries among other things.
This is why India government can't stop China taking back those Territories...
Before the British it was Muslims who ruled those areas.... Indians think they can get away with it by saying ohh well we just inherited the borders lol. Nah mate.

Even though i have only watched till 13:44 , i would like to make a prediction. The main motivation for such a gully attack is to test the response time of Indian troops. Last time, such a test quickly escalated to a full scale fight and caused international headlines. This time Chinese side do not want to risk lives of their soldiers. At the same time they will use this clash as Chinese version of [Desh khatre main hain] and divert their citizens from actual internal crisis.

In fact MMS wanted to do it, Jairam Ramesh opposed it - citing Env issues.
BTW, execution is everything, idea is not everything. MMS might have figured out the problem, and probably figured of the solution, but he was unable to execute it.

I've read "Himalayan Blunder" by Brigadier John P Dalavi translated to Kannada by Ravi Belagere. I'd suggest this aswell for the blunders of then Congress government (1962 war) and failures of Nehru, Krishna Menon and B M Kaul. Disrespecting army genius like Thimmayya. And what a leftist government brought on to an Army and the ignorance, also how and why Chinese incursion is a lot more complicated than our wars with Pakistan. It's a good read.
Tawang was where the last major army was posted miles away from disastrous Namka Chu, dhola post. We had lost Tawang to China in 1962 which they gave us back after cease-fire.

Leftist govt is what kept the nation stable when people actually got ownership of resources. Not all of them. But many. And that gave hope to many people. It made people believe that "yes, indeed we have got independence and slowly things will only become better" had it been a capitalist govt that had allowed people with money to control industries, poor would have stayed poor and it would have angered them. Resulting in chaos. So you can criticise nehru, his foreign policy or whatever. But stop being idiot who blindly follows ideology and one group of people. And dismissing everything about other by creating this boogeyman around "leftists"

The AP was won by the Chinese during the 1962 war. The Chinese retreated without occupying It.
Yes, the Indian Military budget is 7x smaller than the Chinese. But they are spending up to 40% of the defense budget on boarder control, restricting funds for other use.
While the Chinese Only deploy 1/3 of Indian troops and advance monitoring equipment costing 7%.
The rest of the funds are spent on R&D and equipment upgrading. with advance infrastructure troops can be mobalise within hours.
In other words., the Indian had fallen into the Chinese trap of spending money blindly.

Sir if a detailed analysis is done of clashes previously and the present one the pattern appears to be clear. The clashes generally happen when parliament is in sesssion or the session is about to begin irrespective of which govt is in power. This basically is done so that the work in parliament gets stalled and new bills are not passed pushing things behind on development front. This is because the neighbors have understood how any party in opposition behaves when such a fodder is available.

    *forwarded as recieved
Here is the entire sequence of events*
    1. The buildup of the 9th December at Thang La started around last week of November 2022 when the frequency of face-offs in the sector spiked suddenly.
Battalion Commanders alarmed by the sudden increase in sightings of PLA patrols in their AOR quietly reinforced their flanks.
    2. Alert troops at posts overlooking known PLA ingress positions with HHTI (Hand Held Thermal Imagers) reported large body of PLA troops forming up using the fog as cover.
SITREP at 6am on 9th December 2022 was sent to Brigade HQ and QRTs placed strategically were mobilized.
    3. The PLA which had conducted a detailed headcount of the number of troops at Thang La was confident that they would be able to overwhelm the the 50 odd troops with a 6:1 superiority. Unknown to them IA QRTs which had moved in from the rear echelons were already in position but not visible to PLA sensors.
    4. As the battalion sized force of the PLA attempted to surround Thang La , the IA troops at Thang La formed a human chain around the post to deter the large PLA. A lot of cursing , pushing ensued with soldiers from both sides grappling bulky winter clothing.
    5. Taking advantage of the chaos PLA troops at the rear armed with tasers, spiked clubs & monkey gloves moved towards the front to surprise the IA troops. All of this was being quietly observed by the IA Command Post which quickly radioed multiple QRTs to reinforce Thang La.
    6. Closely placed echelons of IA QRTs on the lower ridges and the river valley were quickly able to reinforce the 50 troops firmly facing the PLA onslaught and reinforcements poured in from multiple directions immediately after being radioed.
    7. What started with abuses and stone pelting gradually progressed to fisticuffs and then fierce hand to hand combat where the PLA troops were overpowered and in some cases their weapons were used against them.
    8. This free for all went on until the PLA found itself losing ground with many of their troops overpowered and battered while IA troops kept pouring in with their own melee weapons.Things went south from there and the PLA troops started falling back.
    9. The IA troops were in no mood to relent and went after the retreating PLA troops who were running for their lives after having borne the burnt of the counter-attack. Gunshots were heard from the PLA's rear as they attempted to deter further assault.
    10. The area of the faceoff has been reinforced with a Bde size force and the units in the vicinity are on a high state of alert. All in all a very comprehensive drubbing for the PLA with a dozen plus of their troops dead or extremely critical (skulls opened/crushed).

Tawang region was Tibetan area given to British India in 1914 by Tibet in return British India promise to recognize the Sino-Tibetan border. The then border was called McMohan. But British India behind the back of Tibet sign a treaty that Tibet is part of China. So Tibetan took control of the region and British India couldn't do anything simply as it deceived Tibet. So Tibet ruled it until Tibet lost its independence in 1950. Seeing the opportunity GoI sent soldier to occupy it.
Tibetans still treat it as Indian but to validate it India must recognize it based on the 1914 Shimla Treaty signed with India and Tibet.

Dear Sir I am a big fan of CTC and make it point to listen to it atleast 5 times a week. However there are a few things that's been scoring low in most of the episodes.
1.The explanation while using graphics is very amateurish. Kindly employ some one to animate while you explain. Otherwise it leaves the audience as cluttered (& frustrated) as before.
    2. Your mention of jaswant singh Rawat to my mind was not up the mark. When you use words like "As if he was the only one" was disheartening. Even if he wasn't the only one you cannot question it. He fought as if he was the only one and therefore the temple in his name.

    • @ThePrintIndia
      @ThePrintIndia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

You are so right. We have to up our graphics game. I promise you this is work in progress. But part of it is my fault too as I record too late in the day. We are trying to address it though...
On Jaswant Singh Rawat, there were many in the unit who fought, died and several won gallantry awards. Of course his gallantry was particularly remarkable, but the entire battalion fought and got Battle Honours Nuranang. my limited point was that. Military history results in easy mythologies. In this case the mythology is that he kept fighting by himself alone, helped along only by two local young women. I was merely pointing that out. Thanks for your perceptive comments...SG
