I think that’s a legitimate expectation, so if we fall a little short we’re not ready to fire people. I like the slow, steady progression we’ve been on. Nobody wants another great year followed by a house cleaning 2 years later.

with that receiver corp, TE group and RB group - opposing teams will be taking an enormous gamble any time they choose to make Williams the primary focus. Their roster at offensive skill positions is flawless.

9-8 Williams shows tons of potential.
If the Bears had the Lions offensive coordinator as their head coach instead of the coach they have now. I think Williams would flourish under that system.
This division realistically has 4 rosters that you can make playoff arguments with. I think 2 of the teams have SB ceilings (GB/Det). Ultimately it will come down to who wins the attrition battle. On average every division loses a QB to a lengthy injury, who will that team be? Also how quickly will Caleb get up to speed and will it be early enough to get to that 9/10 win area. Also can JJ get on the field and make a difference or will Darnold play good enough to win games.

What's crazy is that the Carolina Panthers could've realistically had this Bears roster (at least on offense).
Speaking of the Carolina Panthers, last year their rookie was expected to have a great coaching setup. Yet, that rapidly fell apart. So, we have to be careful with the Bears' current setup (ironically).

Unless the NFC north puts 3 teams in the playoffs which I don’t believe they will. We know that the packers/lions are in. With the 49ers/Cowboys/eagles/rams/maybe Falcons/ or saints. I don’t see 👀 the Bears getting in the playoffs this season.
