The unnamed dragons actually do have names. I’m just a better researcher than you I guess😏. I’m not trying to show off, but these are the names of those dragons as proven through my research. 3:12 is a “vulture claw”, 4:00 is a “fire fang” , 5:36 that my friend is a “spike back” image they used. 6:12 that one is a “slither fang”. If you look up httyd followed by these names, you’ll see images of these dragons pop up. Also, 10:34 yes those are actually sniffle hunches with animation animation. But if they were a unique species of dragon, I would call them “SUN BASKERS”. They would be a Stoker class dragon, and they would prefer to live in lakes, not inside the water, but on the beaches surrounding it where the sand is and we’re great spike sloped rocks, laying there in their dozens for a sun basker to lay on top of and absorb the heat from the sun to their fin.
So like, my theory is that all the 2nd Gen dragons (all that were introduced in the HTTYD 2) are actually very closely related. And so there is a lot of mix-breeding and hybridisation happening. That is why there are some dragons that just go unnamed. They aren't really new species, but hybrids of already existing ones.
I know it's not canon but the most unidentified and impossible dragon to class is the giant Sky Swooper from a season 6 episode of the Nine Realms But I'm convinced its a Red Death
personally i would put zipplebacks in the stoker class since their unique firepower is designed specifically to create as much fire as possible at once plus weve seen them turn themselves into firewheels so why not stoker?
Here are some names I came up for the dragons featured in this video: 3:19 - Herding Jutterback 4:02 - Frilled Torchtusk 6:45 - Fierce Hegrimaw 8:21 - Shaggy Flummoth or Hailing Death
14:38 This is the Light Fury's concept art. I really wish they kept it because it looks so cool! And the one right before it is probably concept art of the Deathgripper. The one right after it was likely one of the Fury babies' concepts too. Great song by the way
9:48 I think the hair like thing could be seaweed or something that it uses to distort its silhouette. Like how Batman's cape is meant to distort his body in the dark so criminals don't know where to aim
@@HannahWilson-g5i Damn.........i salute you. Ive only watched it from the age of about 8, freaking loved it.......though im older, i still sometimes watch it, though only the episodes with the original troupe. Those 6 were the heart and soul of it.
honestly the idea of an "other" class isn't that bad of an idea, I guess that is kind of what mystery is also I'm pretty sure some of the unknown dragons from book of dragons are dragon designs from the books
Unnamed dragon five could be a stoker class. 1. Cauldron loke body to up the fire. 2. Extended cheeks to create extra pressure. 3. Frill to let out extra heat to prevent over heating.
I feel like considering the reasoning for a lot of these other ones, the one with what looks like a sail, if it is in fact a separate dragon, could be tidal class because it looks an awful lot like a spinosaurus. A dinosaur that had a large sail on its back and spent much of its time in the water.
Might be a stretch, and I think there was an actual Dramillion added to the map at some point, but the "mystery class" map dragon at 14:12 kind of looks like a really early Dramillion, and 14:18 reminds me of a triple stryke. I just think that's neat
Some name options: 3:12 Windclaw 4:01 Blubberfang / Firefang (it has to have something to do with those tusks/fangs) 5:35 Cutterback / Windcutter 6:12 Horned Devil (it looks related to the Monstrous Nightmare) 8:14 Woolly Tusk / Ice Tail (That concept art is definitely some hybrid with Bewilderbeast, Woolly Howl, Large Shadow and Smothering Smokebreath) 10:33 Snuffleback (it's really simple like just a subspecie of the Snufflehunch) 12:48 That front one definitely looks like Light Fury baby. 15:25 I wouldn't even try to reconstruct a dragon from the skull since the Monstrous Nightmare skull does NOT work (see episode The Night and the Fury)
Here are the names I came up for the 5 unknown Dragons from the "How To Train Your Dragon 2" film... 1) Firefang 2) Wingblaster 3) Antlered Disaster 4) Cloudcutter 5) Snufflefin
The second unnamed dragon also has a coral-like crest similar to Red Death/Green Death Edit: also one of the mystery dragons you mention in the last section (the blue bioluminescent one at 14:39) is concept art for Red Death/Green Death
Dean DeBlois has a very strict to not allow any kind of magic or superpowers in his franchise, so turning into a dragon when being bitten by a lycanwing seems rather unlikely to be real.
14:28 first pic gives Catastrophic Quaken vibes and 2nd just gives Rumblehorn + Catastrophic Quaken Hybrid vibes, as if this was concept art for Skull Crusher
When that dude sang the many types of dragons at the end of his video you could say that make it more 😅 and 😂 like with Archibald singing in the episode from Veggietales with visiting the FUTURE and random generated 🤖.
This here is what peeved me about the second film (still love it though) and the third film ( Love to hate it). alot of the dragons where just thrown to the backround. never named or characterized, just little blips and shapes on the screen that you can barely make out. I wish the proceeding films leaned into giving us more info about all the dragons like the first one did, as its why everyone loved the shows. hell, unnamed dragon 2 is so cute! If I where a dragon rider i'd totally tame one. I just wish I know what the heck it is!!
Man, what if the Lycanwing is actually an illness similar to the Werewolfs from @Thought Potato 's biology of crypteds series? What if the reason nobody knows whether it exists or not is because most people die before they fully complete the transformation? This is of course similar to the Lycanthropic virus from the aforementioned video.
14:38 I might not be correct, but i'm 90% sure those are the dragons from the third movie, meaning they are officially cannon dragons. Correct me if i'm wrong though. Pretty sure they might have also been strike class (?) I'll check later. Could be a sub-species because the look slightly different. 14:38 Looks kind of like a baby night/lightfury? Idk at this point (Secondmpicture after the one it takes you to) 14:39 Based on the wings and body shape, it could be a sub-species of the RainCutter which is proven to be a Tidal. Could also be a hybrid of RainCuttern (Based on wings and body type) and the FlightMare. (Based on scales/head shape in some of the drawings on the bottom.) Which is a Mystery class dragon. 14:42 These look like Monstrous Nightmare's (Picture after the one it takes you to) 14:04 These look like those dragons in RTTE that are supposed to bring the Eruptodon's egg to the sacred hatching place. (Third picture after the one it takes you to.) 14:55 looks like a Light/Nightfury. Possibly another sub-species or a type of sexual dimorphism. (Picture after the one it takes you to.) 14:57 These look like Monstrous Nightmare's again.
I could see Unnamed Dragon 2 variantion being males of Unnamed Dragon 1, if we're going for a biology view point the tusks could be used for intimidating and/or fighting other males (this would also somewhat explain them being tougher) than UD1
Tbh, I think I would call the first unnamed dragon a Snoutfrill, and the second one a Fangclaw. I would also agree to call the third unnamed dragon the Windcutter and the fourth unnamed dragon a Spikyboggle.
I think unnamed dragon 5 should be called RuneScape because it looks like a RuneScape model Also both the Beijing dragon and this one 14:16 are probably my favorite unnamed dragons
I've actually given my own names to each and evrey one of these dragons And given them abilities unique to all the named dragons I wish I could share them But if I did I'd be here for ever

Well I know this is an April fools joke but I guess this would do until we get the sharp class
Plus that I guess is supposed to be the megalodon for some reason at 14:21
Now we want stoker class
Now we want Boulder class

3:13 vulture claw, 4:01 fire fang, 5:35 spike back, 6:15 slither fang. those are the official names of these dragons from what I've researched.
Is this confirmed?
7:17 midnight wing
8:07 razor horn
8:14 glacier wing
3:13 red backed and blue frilled axe jaw
4:01 cave crawling armored charge jaw
5:35 thorn necked raincutter
6:15 venomous tangle tail
10:33 duo tailed sailodon

@@Snom_Man unfortunately no I was told by orca man that they're not canon.

Yes!!!!!!!!
"Wassup beijing"
I agree
Really cool
Agreed
Okay I got to say, the dragon from that live show looks awesome, I really like how it looks like they took the conceptart style and animated it.
Agreed. I hope it gets fully canonized eventually.
Got some real nostalgia with that song at the end.
YES!!!
Real, although it took me a second to remember

Was my thought exactly. They look alot like hybrids.
Hybrids are also named in this franchise so that wouldn’t really make sense
GUYS THE THIRD DRAGON (with the tusks) IS ACTUALLY NAMED! Its called the "CaveRavager" and I saw its name in the Wiki :)

Ive heard its called the fire fang

There’s a dragon called Skrill from the Live Spectacular but it doesn’t look like a Skrill and it’s blue and orange and has tail fins
Possibly is but has mutated. Similar to how the Screaming Death is just a Whispering Death that’s just mutated

not that it's a bad thing. I just found it funny
the beijing dragon looks like a smothering smoke breath. I’d say it’s a titan version of an ice-dwelling, tidal-class version of those!
I feel like considering the reasoning for a lot of these other ones, the one with what looks like a sail, if it is in fact a separate dragon, could be tidal class because it looks an awful lot like a spinosaurus. A dinosaur that had a large sail on its back and spent much of its time in the water.
