i have a white/blue roadster. It is shocking how much attention it gets everywhere. That and it is fast enough to get into trouble but yet you can daily it since it is FWD/RWD/AWD. Oh and it isnt just all screens.
Currently looking for a 2019 in the Sophisticated Gray color. Regardless of what others say - its a beautiful car and the efficiency makes it even better! Definitely will be getting extended warranty for it though due to some of the known issues the older models have had... not sure if theyve fixed those issues with the 2019+ years, but hoping so!
@@Bonelafide congrats bro!!🙌🏽🏅 hopefully I can get too enjoy mines one day like you also, keep her looking nice & drive safe!! God bless tho & god speed as always
Most limiting factor for this car in the great US is the poor 110V household network thus making the home charging kind of PITA. Thus losing the efficiency and / or eco friendly "sports car" aspect of this car. This car is not fast by any means, its appearance compared to something ordinary like Porsche 911 is what makes ppls to buy these. As the gas is dirt cheap in the US the looks is the main factor. Car is devaluing heavily as its rather slow for the looks. The looks doesn't match the performance at all thus no average petrol head want one, they'll choose Corvette or Porsche as the most important things are acceleration and power. On the other side here in EU everyone gets 220V from their house hold sockets not to mention public charging station network which is at least 100x better than in US -> charging cars like i8 is fast and effortless. Making the efficiency side of the thing much more usable. Also the gas prices are 2-3 ... even 4x more than in US, so peoples will buy these for other reasons than the looks only. In EU ppls don't complain about the top end performance as the traffic laws and penalties for speeding are like 10x more severe than in US. Ppls generally wont speed or race in highways or streets as one may lose his licence for 1-2 years and pay up to 2-5-10k in fines. I personally think that the target audience for used BMW i8 is very much here in the "old continent".

Had one race me yesterday in my x5 suv. He was not happy that he lost. 😂
the fact you even bothered to race a car that wasn't made for racing like at all whatsoever is wild ngl
@@poststarshe was the one that initiated the race, not me. I just obliged 👍
@@BeamerTime354Unless you have an X5M, the i8 is definitely quicker. Something wrong with this.
@@michaelc2254 He probably wasn't racing at all.
The i8 runs high 11s, so yeah, you were racing alone.
