    It is hard to imagine that three years ago this woman had three strokes and a heart attack. And that somehow her insane talent made it through and that she has that level of control and range still is miraculous.

    • @LetsTalkAboutSinging

      I agree! The way her vocals recovered back to normal is seriously impressive

      She said on joe Rogan she has some hearing issues/loss now too. She is incredible.

    Till now no vocal coaches have described Demi's song Dancing with the devil, in such a detail that u did. All her highs to toe notes...belting...and all the new words I learnt today...Thank you Sir. Her song is a powerful bang to everybody's ear and heart....bleeding....crying us...Inspirational....Her comeback has a bigger motive I believe....I love Demi.❤

    her low notes have improved sfm and we're here for it! and i also really loved how you went into sm details and you were so spot on in recognising her technique correctly! i dont see many "vocal coaches" out there being so technical w their reactions. youre an exception!

    • @LetsTalkAboutSinging

      Thank you so much, these are my favorite comments! My purpose is exactly that: to provide a VOCAL ANALYSIS and educate people on the art of singing through the performances that they love, and show them some interesting insights on things that they might not notice, so that they can like the performance even more. it means a lot to me that these things are appreciated 🙏😊

    Thank you for the detailed analysis! G5 is one of her favorite high notes, judging from how often she uses it in her songs. Her low notes have really improved... I remember in 2012 or so in the Unbroken era that she struggled with some of the lower notes for awhile.

    • @LetsTalkAboutSinging
      @LetsTalkAboutSinging  3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thank you! Yes she uses the G5 a lot and omg, it’s such a high note! I agree on the low notes, I was impressed right from the beginning cause I don’t usually heat them that way, she definitely worked on them

  • @TheEmancipationofHoosiers

    I absolutely loved your reaction omg! And I noticed the "I'm feeling good" sound right away but i haven't seen anyone else talking about it!
    She actually only did Eb3s here but there are C3s on the studio version in the chorus (in octave unison)!
    Although her belts are pretty fire here, her mix did get a bit chesty and heavy compared to the studio version but it was the first performance and it was pretty so cold, so I can't wait to watch more!
    Your reaction is super technical so it's super interesting to watch!

    • @LetsTalkAboutSinging
      @LetsTalkAboutSinging  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you so much! 🙏😊 Yes she has a tendency to press a little on her upper chest/mixed when she sings live, but honestly considering how intense is the theme of the song, I don’t mind, I think that a little strain and imperfection actually contribute to communicate the pain that she went through.

    This video is everything I was looking for! I love Demi not only because I relate but those vocals finally someone who truly understands how amazing and talented she is! I learned so much from this video. I did choir in jr high and high school, never played an instrument other than my voice. Then after high school I just stopped so it’s just been car or shower. I feel like I’ve forgotten so much but this was nice refresher on singing technique so thank you 😊

    First thing that came to my mind with the opening piano progression was Dream On

    • @LetsTalkAboutSinging
      @LetsTalkAboutSinging  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting! It’s not exactly the same progression but I can see the similarities, I think you could definitely sing one on top of the other. It could be an awesome mashup!

    You, sir, are *very* good at this. You deserve much bigger numbers, considering your work is superior to certain other "vocal coaches" who are over a million subs without even showing any depth of understanding. Keep plugging away & I'm sure things will grow for you.
    All the best from a random music lover in Scotland! :)

    Would you say she emulates Christina Aguilera in ways or another singer?

    • @LetsTalkAboutSinging
      @LetsTalkAboutSinging  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t. We know Christina has always been an influence of Demi, but Christina is very different, tone wise, range wise, her choices of notes are more bluesy and soul. Demi is very pop, even though there are some soulful influences here, Christina really comes from that old school soul and R&B and you hear that even when she sings pop.
