Love this slogan : Make crime illegal again.
I'm guessing the city finds it cheaper to let criminals back on the street rather than putting them in jail. Taking care of jailed criminals can't be cheap. I don't exactly know where that money to keep jails running comes from, but housing criminals 24/7/365 must be quite expensive. Still, letting criminals do whatever they want puts stress on honest people. I wish they could send criminals far away from the city to a deserted island but that will never happen.
@@g3user1usait costs $43,000 to house and feed 1 prisoner per year. And they don’t always produce work that matches that value. If we were tougher on criminals the I can confidently say criminals would think twice before committing crimes. It’s just a matter of setting the law in place clear as day for people and actually prosecuting or taking more aggressive actions in arrests for people that are suspected of violent crime. Shoplifting should be treated the same way. The police are forced to be so soft that the criminals laugh at them it’s sad af.
@TheMerylme, Democrats are clearly doing just that. Otherwise NY wouldn't be such a disaster and there wouldn't be over TEN MILLION illegal aliens who were allowed to walk right into the U.S. or were brought illegally into the U.S. by the Biden regime which are now contributing to that "legalized crime" all whilst being a burden to the services that LEGAL American citizens pay for.... It was Democrats who were, during Trump's Presidency, trying to actually decriminalize ILLEGAL ENTRY into the U.S.

Has anyone considered enforcing the law and removing the DA?
That's true, BUT all the DA seems to worry about it is Trump. Millions of dollars to do this while the average citizen is not safe - PRIORITIES FOR THE AVERAGE CITIZEN I think not
The DA is just part of the problem the biggest problem they are to bussy with political agenda's ( trump!) then doing their job. But the main problems Are the DEMOCRAT governor and her cronies that changed legislation for bail reforms and shoplifting! these idiots do not change back the laws and are letting the city burn... so come November let them know what you think off them and VOTE RED!!!! or try and get a republican governor !
POC are under special protection, you can't just remove them lib-dem food chains now that the city's DNA is replaced with ghetto mutations.
China owns them/they !!
@@howardmallinger4942 I am not a fan of the DA, but if I'm being entirely real ... she's been put in an impossible position. If she does her job going after the small stuff, the Governor will do everything in their power to make sure the DA doesn't get elected again. If the DA doesn't go after Trump (who, rightfully, SHOULD be prosecuted for the insane crimes they committed), then the people of NY will do everything in their power to make sure she doesn't get reelected.
She's between a rock and a hard place; everything that crosses her desk is worth time, attention and care... but she's got limited resources and is being pulled in several conflicting directions. So this is what happens.
Realistically, what we need is better political system in our state. Having a Governor that's able to, essentially, direct the will of other elected officials (such as the DA) because of the power that they (the governor) wield over the political process is absolutely insane to me. So if we want to fix the issue, then we need to start at home: Local elections.
NYC voters literally voted for this and now they are crying?

And you know what, they can stay there too!!!!! They messed up their city and the state as a whole and now are running to nicer states TO DO THE EXACT SAME THING!

Not all of us voted for it
I remember in the 60s when all those subway malls and shops were operating. Then, they closed down in the late 60s and early 70s. It was amazing to see them come back in the mid 90s. Now, history repeats itself….. 😢
And we never learn
People voted for it!!!
Back in the 1980’s NYC was a dangerous place, and we NEVER rode the subway. Then they started the broken window policy and the city became one of the safest places. It’s a shame that it’s degrading again.
I remember my mom telling me about seeing New York City when she rode the bus once to Connecticut. She said it looked like a bombed out city..She was shocked at what she seen..This was probably early 80’s ..I started going up there in the 90’s and they started cleaning it up a lot ..By 2000 it was looking really good ..Last time I was there was 2017 and still was looking good ..I’m scared to go now ..I loved that city ..
It was only dangerous because there was the mafia and gangs.
However, we were able to walk the streets without issues. We played in the streets and parks. Now that they are gone, thugs are just running wild.
NYC was never like it is today. It's a dump now.

But they're not just thieves. They're a specific type of thief. They don't walk up to you in a dark alley and demand your money. They steal from stores. Why do you want people to be less specific? Because of your feelings? Your feelings aren't a good reason to be less specific.

You can't fix "STUPID PEOPLE"
because, of course, you have fair and honest elections there.
Thank you Cash for following the story when the mainstream media ignores it
The thing with "dead malls" is that the only "dead malls" are those that you have to drive to. City malls have never been dead, and what has happened in NYC has a lot to do with people not being able to afford to "live" in those coffin-sized apartments. People aren't going to visit these commuter stores if they can't afford it.
Non-violent crime comes in three flavors, "desperation (eg homeless)", "planned (organized crime)", and "opportunistic (people who get their adrenaline rush from high risk/extreme activities)". The "not putting people in jail" is intended to not punish desperation and opportunistic crimes with jailtime under the assumption that they wouldn't do it if they weren't put in the position to commit the crime. Organized crime on the other hand knows what they are getting into. So if the city isn't putting people in prison, they will just keep doing it, knowing that the risk is low that there will be any real penalty to it.
I'm not sure how NYC is going to be able to fix this without rounding up everyone who commits a shoplifting crime and forcing them to "work" for the city (eg cleaning up litter) until they've paid off the amount of property loss to the merchant.
I am living in Denmark, but I have friends in N.Y. City. My last visit to N.Y.C. was ten years ago and I am truly astounded to learn what has happened to that wonderful city during the last decade.

He’ll get threatened for sure
@@FWCaptain-kv6smhello Alvin Bragg
All that leads up to brandon! Then uhbahma and co
He won't prosecute violent criminals, but will spend millions on a sham trail of a presidential candidate.
You should make this video in Oakland/ San Francisco. But I was just in New York in January and specifically Rockafella center, I didn’t get the impression that there was supposed to be a mall in the rockafella center.
your videos are pretty damn good.
Alvin Bragg needs to start prosecuting criminals and get off of Trump's a$$
Yes! 🙌
Alvin Bragg don't give up your daytime job.... Oh that is your daytime job maybe you need a new career, good luck with that it seems there are no new businesses opening to hire people looks like you've done a real number on NYC.
He is a criminal.
He's in soros pay roll..
The question is not why cities cannot protect their businesses and residents. The question IS why won't the cities protect their residents and businesses. Unfortunately, NY is NOT an anomaly. Major cities throughout the U.S. are intentionally failing to protect the residents and businesses. What is driving their attitude towards crime to their own detriment? Sinister.
Only Democrat-led cities. Check it out for yourself. Keep in mind, Democrat leaders say, "Crime is going down," despite the evidence it is going up.
Because deep state ruin country in purpose

@@scottmckinney6328 Satanic WEF wants Elites to own everything, and the rest of us serfs to be equally poor and waiting for handouts from them, IF we comply. They HA TE the West and want it utterly wasted.
Same here in Toronto...
I haven't watched in a while so was shocked by this video. I moved from San Francisco to Montana some some 40 yrs ago and stopped my regular visits there after a trip in 2007. I found my old home almost recognizable *then*. I made my last regular trip to Seattle in 2012 and haven't returned, because I was repeatedly and aggressively panhandled and found myself tripping over passed out and sleeping people such that it was impossible to take a walk. It seems all our beloved major cities are suffering from crime that's not being countered in any meaningful way. This has to stop, but I'm not sure how that can happen when this retail and transit crime has pretty much been tolerated for 20 yrs.
All of this is made by design! The controllers don't want you to go out, having fun or shopping. These freaks want you to stay home, feeling scared and miserable.
Amen to that.
Divide and conquer right out of Sun Tsu's Art of War.
Yeah, but look what the Mayor is spending your money on ! C3P0 ! Better than another inflatable Boy Scout ! No ?
I'm amazed that Manhattan hasn't imploded yet between the shoplifting, the subway issues, ridiculously high rents, stores closing their doors, and so on...
Once NYC hits rock bottom, then New Yorkers will seek reform, not before.
It's a liberal paridice, can't have it without all that crap
@@Venezolano410 Have you seen what's left of Merv ? ( in modern Turkmenistan ) ?
Not to mention the scene is dead. The kids are lame. The clubs got stale. Entertainment in general has collapsed. I need to start a family soon, the party is over.
It will reach the tipping point soon.
"There's another dunkin donuts". Pans to a starbucks logo. 🤣🤣🤣
Online shopping factor is a huge reason.
If everyone is buying things online, operation costs alone will likely be a net negative when having a physical storefront.
My mom told me about riding the subway back in 1940's and 50's. She lived in Brooklyn. She never said anything about shopping and eating in subway. It was a means of transportation. Having stores and food underground just doesn't appeal to me.
Wow, for ten years I walked through that Rockefeller mall on bad weather days to get to work. Up until 3-4 years ago, every space was occupied and the lunch crowd was huge. I left town 3 years ago and can’t believe how things have fallen apart.
TYRONE HAS TO FEED HIS BABY MOMMA SOMEHOW
Had the grandkids staying with me all last week. One of the things they wanted to do was go to the local mall which I haven't been to in over four years. So I decided we would drive over and take a walk, as I pulled up to the Nordstroms entrance there was a crowd of blacks, 10-12 standing outside, sitting on the planters, smoking etc, so I passed it by and drove to the Belk's entrance I used to use because it was far from the food court. But once again there was a bunch of blacks standing around. That was it, the mall has had quite a few gang incidents and supposedly installed some sort of weapons detection system, told the kids sorry but it's not worth the risk.
On a side note a few years ago the Durham NC black community decided they were going to boycott that mall for an entire weekend. It was great, Nordstroms reported their highest profits of the year due to almost zero inventory shrinkage, most other stores experienced the same.
This would never have happened if Giuliani was in office. No way!
True, but democrats hate him for stop and frisk. Republicans hate him for abandoning Trump. Ordinary Americans hate him for marrying his cousin
Don't hold your breath.
now.....build back " better " 😮
😂😂😂😂😂😂
He had the advantage that he could get the worst removed from the streets for a longer time. These days, they are let out again the next day.
The only thing we Red Staters can say is, We told this would happen if you keep voting for democrats.
And we can say it a million times. Seems to make no difference. Like talking to the wall. Some never learn and never change. Sad.
don't worry, the entire country will and already is being affected by these policies.
@@Truther945 You obviously don’t live in Texas. Sure we have shop lifting but nothing even close to this. We simply will not tolerate it.
I’m voting the other way. I learned my lesson. The city that I love is no more. We need someone in power who knows what they’re doing. Smh
