If you're a fan of old school movies, then you'll love this clip from the classic Aliens movie. This clip is remastered in 4K HDR custom for a truly immersive experience. Whether you're watching it on your TV or on your phone, you'll be transported to the Aliens scene from the movie!
57 years after Ellen Ripley had a close encounter with the reptilian alien creature from the first movie, she is called back, this time, to help a group of highly trained colonial marines fight off against the sinister extraterrestrials. But this time, the aliens have taken over a space colony on the moon LV-426. When the colonial marines are called upon to search the deserted space colony, they later find out that they are up against more than what they bargained for. Using specially modified machine guns and enough firepower, it's either fight or die as the space marines battle against the aliens. As the Marines do their best to defend themselves, Ripley must attempt to protect a young girl who is the sole survivor of the nearly wiped out space colony.

Hahaha... I came here to comment this. Everything besides 4k makes their drinks look like glasses of urine.
I love the subversion of expectations in this scene with Bishop. You are convinced he'll be the one to betray the crew like Ash did in the first movie. But in the end, Bishop turned out to be one of the best members of the crew as he was to get the 2nd dropship down, return to rescue Ripley and Newt and saved Newt from being sucked out of the airlock in the final battle.
and yet his order was to deliver samples of the alien to earth, which he did, the reason for his death in the third part was because of Bishop, since he brought the egg to the ship
@dika7114 let's collectively forget that abomination of a movie doesn't exist. I know I do.
@@1532JJ in the third part, this android admits that the alien has always been with them
and he still betrayed them
@@gaynzz6841 A Android is software, it cant betray, its programmed.
I love the first half of this movie, before all the deaths, everything feels so organic, from dialogue to acting to the sense of brotherhood among the marines
The cast spent weeks together on tough army exercises to form their bond before filming began.
I agree. That's a thing this movie does so well : introduce you smoothly to this crew, make you like them and then butcher them all.
Overated man, the acting is so heavy-handed and forced.
Yes. It something about old movies that there is no parts that you want to skip.
Even with Bishop. One of the things that I felt made this movie unique was that aside from Ripley due to past experience, there was no moral or philosophical quandary about whether or not the synthetics were truly sentient/self-aware. The crew knew Bishop was a synth, Bishop knew he was a synth, but he always acted and was treated like he was just part of the crew.
When I met Lance Henriksen at a comic con he told me, that the knife trick took over a month to learn.
All just for them to speed the footage up from slow to...looking...fast.
I envy you. He was an amazing actor.
Lance Henriksen 👏👏👏👏👏 no contest even in 2024.
''Not bad, for a human.''

Bill Paxton’s facial expressions are hilarious 😆
That was Bill’s real hand.

@jameswilliams-zr8co I 100% agree with you
Subtle character development that accentuates the movie SOO MUCH
So classic that a few other action movies have tried to recycle some lines.

Note Vasquez in the background telling Drake to mess with Hudson before the knife trick. Love it
Nice catch, makes the scene feel even more authentic.
Saw the movie at least 10 times and I missed that.
This is my favourite all time movie, and I’ve only just noticed that details. Brilliant.
Must have seen this film 20 times and I have never noticed that. But yet, there it is.
Drake told Hudson “ I could be a good friend to you.”
Terminator,alien,predator.......im proud to grow up with these films, never gets old.

Don’t forget commando 1985
Hyperdyne, Cyberdyne. Cameron likes his Dynes lol
They don't make Movies like this anymore.
Agree and it's sad .
Totally very few films are great these days
They made a *lot* of crap in that decade. They do every decade. They make good movies, too, but they’re always fewer.
People who write “they don’t make movies like this anymore” just aren’t seriously looking anymore, 30 years ago they would’ve said the dark thing about “On the Waterfront” 😂
Or Cornbread
No because people get too easily offended etc
It’s 2024!
And ALIENS STILL CRUSHES ANY Movie this year in this genre!!
Facts 💯
What are you talking about? “This year”?
It crushes every movie for the past 30 years!
Cause all this generation is make copies of movies that have already been made 🙄 they are getting more lazy than our generation and they have no creativity
I don’t think many sci-fi action horror movies were made this year, but ok…
It’s not a competition, man. And, yes, there were plenty of phenomenal movies released this year. Dune Part Two was a masterpiece.
hell yes
Bill Paxton is one of a kind. In every film he's ever been in. He just always has a unique presence.
Was 😢
He got killed by terminator, predator and alien.
Lance Henriksen, who fought the Terminator, aliens, and Predator, is so great.
Ya know, Bishop vs. a T-800, make it happen! But... Terminator isn't connected to the Aliens/Predator/Blade Runner universe. Too bad.
@@davepowder4020 I don't know... Hyperdyne, Cyberdyne - they sound oddly familiar to me.
@@bewaremusic3933 Ohhhhh! Parallel universes! In one, the humans control the artificial life form process, in another, they accidentally give control to another AI, bringing the end!

Imagine the budget for Aliens was 17 million back then. They wouldn’t be able to make that movie look the way it does for 300 million today.
Technically it would be closer to 50 million today with inflation, but I get your sentiment.
Bill RIP 🙏🏻
The actors take up most of the budget now.
His name is James, JAMES CAMERON, the bravest pioneer!! No budget to steep, no sea too deep. Who's that? It's him! JAMES CAMERON!!!
This scene is an excellent example of "show, don't tell".
In one scene we've established that Bishop has dignity and doesn't like being mistreated. This is a society where there is open prejudice against AI and no one comes to Bishop's defence despite seeing him as a member of the crew albeit as a second-class citizen.
This is how you do world-building without expositional dialogue or moments.
Love the contrast between these guys and Ripley's old crew in the first movie. Watching the first one immediately followed by Aliens, you really feel like she's no longer surrounded by fellow scientists and engineers - she's surrounded by meatheads and she's the fish out of water.
this film is so good you forget it is a sequel to a classic!
i agree. Its actually one of the few sequel's that i think holds its own against the original. If someone said Aliens was better than Alien. I wouldn't fault them. They are both excellent in their own right. One of the few other examples i can think of where the 2nd is as good as the first is Terminator I and II.
Pure legends in this film, Lance Henrieksen, Bill Paxton , Sigourney Weaver, Michael Biehn and those are just to name a few.
As a kid I was so obsessed with this scene that I used to practice this on myself with a butter knife. I never graduated past the butter knife.
me too, but now I only have two fingers left ;)

Wow nice!!
Total agreement.
I miss Bill Paxton. R.I.P
Added that bit of madness to the movie, if only Ripley found him alongside Newt and rescued him too.
I like how Burke catches himself using the "synthetic" term the second time and corrects himself. A small, fleeting glimpse of humanity from what turns out to be a cold, heartless, corporate stooge.
I read it as the opposite. He's a corporate stooge weakling, so he obliges the absurdity of the android's 'feelings' as he would any corporate culture or PC etc. Bishop also says it as a joke but Burke takes it seriously which juxtaposes the lack of humanity in Burke vs abundance in Bishop.
Who is the real simulacrum of a person?
It’s performative
@@rustyshackleford8022 It is the opposite. As every other corporate goon, he's very careful of the way he uses words but deep inside he doesn't give a shit.
I love the nod to Asimov's 'Three Laws of Robotics', two of which were mentioned by Bishop.
Please develop
@@otdosa Ripley complained about a "synth" harming her before, Bishop reassured her that the current generation of synths couldn't because they were programmed not to harm humans.
@@jimbotron70 yeah I got that but what are the 3 laws of robotics?
Actually I'm a go ahead and just Google that.
@@otdosa For the convenience of anyone else who might come upon this for the first time:
Asimov's Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot must not harm a human being, or through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must always obey a human's orders, unless doing so would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must always protect itself, unless doing so would conflict with the First and/or Second Laws.
Of course, if you think about it logically for a bit, the Three Laws have obvious loopholes that would render them useless. For example, the robot would stop a human from drinking alcohol, because alcohol is toxic (it needs to be cleansed by our livers otherwise it would poison us, but even so it steadily causes damage that builds up over a lifetime) and is therefore harmful to humans. Nothing the human can do or say would override this because the First Law insists that a robot cannot cause any harm to come to humans, even through inaction.
Also, in the Alienverse while synthetics do have safeguards that prevent them from harming humans or hijacking control from humans, all too often the Corporations that manufacture the synthetics have hidden directives or orders programmed into them that override their safeguards if doing so would jeopardize the Corporation's own interests. (It's also why we have combat synthetics, something that is supposed to be expressly forbidden, but it's an open secret that many of the wealthier/more powerful Corporations have Black Ops strike teams consistently primarily of synthetics programmed for combat and equipped with all the best weapons and tech that money can buy, often woefully outstripping anything the Colonial Marines have.)
@@Zaxares i think a little more (or even a lot more) can be said of Asimov's three laws of robotics. He formulated them in his robot series which made such a lasting impact on the depiction of robots in science fiction. The first was "I, Robot". The first series then "The Caves of Steel". Highly recommended, it shows that Science Fiction can also be written in the Detective Genre. The premise is that although the three laws of robotics are immutably a part of any robot's positronic brain, that by all appearances a robot has murdered a human.
The moment where Drake says “Enjoy your meal” when he puts the tray in front of Hudson and pats his shoulder always lived rent free in my head.
did you notice how Bishop weights, examines and calculates the knifes aspects, before starting the trick ? and then delivers the knife back to owner handler first.
It was really a better model
Yeah, i knew Ash was dirty when he didn’t do a cool trick.
I love that the Sarge is hamming it up with the rest of the squad, really humanizes him. Man, I love every character in this movie
"There's some juicy colonists daughters we have to rescue from their virginity..."
Just imagine that line in a movie nowadays.
From the sargeant, no less!
I can't because it'd be so cringe by today's standards.
Very pedo
@@ThePartisan13 For YOUR lame standards that can´t separate fiction from reality.
@@karlimo4034 Huh?
Old good days when they know how to make fun movies 😂
Bishop is a great character, played by the awesome character actor Lance Henriksen. Ripley was betrayed by Ash in the first film and refuses to trust an android. But Bishop restores her faith. He turns out to be one of her greatest allies
And his TV series of the 90s was bad ass, "Millennium."
And that's why I have an Android and not an iPhone
In Alien 4, Ripley would also trust the Gynoid Call
@@Thinker0822 Oh boy... Good old times. Thumbs up.

You're Goddamn right!
amazing to see how people looked back in the 80s. Today the marines would be jacked to all hell on gear. I can remember this crew when I was growing up, the ultimate badasses
I love this movie! Hollywood has stopped making quality films (((
I like the white blood thing, it's like a warning for Ripley but really it's meant to make the audience feel uneasy. You are meant to think "wow this guy is twitchy, just like the last one, the fact that he missed with the knife is a bad omen". Yet the android never betrays her, you just keep second guessing him until the end, which makes it more exciting.
Hands-down, one of the best sci-fi movies ever made. Bill Paxton is a legend.
0:50 Bill Paxton went from happy, to serious, to concerned, to Strawberry Jam girl meme in less than 50 seconds 😹 😹
I was born in 1989 ❤️ just right about when they stopped making movies like this... I feel blessed I was able to live these moments 🕰️
i like how he reiderates the 1st of 3 laws of Robotics 2:32 : A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
I like how they still behave like humans
Shout out to Frost! Man's a legend along with his one-liners

Solid movie perfection In every way
All three of these guys appeared in video games and it’s cool to see them three altogether in one shot 1:00. Lance Henrikson has had numerous video game roles, Bill Paxton starred in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare zombies, and Mark Rolston here also had numerous video game roles but the one I’ll point out is that he played Norman Osborn in the Insomniac Spider-Man games.

This one scene actually established all the intuitions of the characters in the movie. For instance, the knife trick portion of this actually depicts how showoff the bill paxton's character is. He acts like a total badass but in reality he is the most vulnerable character among them

Back then Hollywood managed to do brilliant sequels - Terminator 2, Aliens - or sequels that have aged pretty well over time, looking at you Predator 2.
I've probably seen it 15 times and will watch it again
The fact that he didn't know that was going to happen, made the reactions even more hilarious, but two things occurred there, Bishop tried to ask him politely to not do it and the act was as a warning, ask me again and I might miss.
This is what a top flight director can do with great script, actors and practical effects only, with no CGI
Remember everone at school doing this the next day
I love that Ripley is so disgusted with the jockey attitude because she's been through an actual nightmare scenario. Really channels the "stared into the abyss" aura, she's sitting there wondering how they can all be so rowdy and obnoxious
Aliens is one in rare occasion where the sequel is better than original
NOPE
People who think this makes no sense. In many ways this movie rehashes the first film. Even the plan to get the Alien back just replacing Ash with Burke. It's a great film but it's like 99% less original.
