  • In this video I spend some time installing new carpet in a class A motorhome, part 1. I go thru how to or how I replaced the stained worn out carpet in my 1995 Fleetwood American Eagle class A motorhome RV. I show tear out, cut to size and rolling and tucking edges. Using Lenox utility blade knife to trim instead of a carpet knife. I got this RV Motorhome from Copart last summer and have been fixing it since. Since this carpet was beyond a carpet cleaning and I wanted a fast alternative to a complete makeover. Instead of a flooring installation I chose a new carpet over other flooring ideas. instead of laminate flooring or vinyl flooring installations which can be slippery. I thought carpet was the easy way out. In this video I get the majority of the carpet laid out and trimmed around the peddles. In the next video I re-cover the panel for the drivers and passenger kicks. and sides up the stairwell.

I have a fifth wheel and you have the same idea I do. Cut out old and use it as a template. Bedroom and living room pop out area carpet.

Yep, it would have gone quicker if i cut right to the template. I left material for trimming in and it took time.
      Thanks for watching

    Nice Video!
Im wanting to carpet around the bed in our caravan.
Will be a basic U shape bit of carpet needed.
Would you recommend i just fix that down with staples the same way you did?
    Cheers

Yeah still have it. I never traveled with it tho. It makes a great overnight room at my BBQ. We stay there if we have to get up really early to work or just for a change of pace. Thanks for watching!!
