Hey there Chest Crystal, Those large vinyl records were called "LP's" for 'Long Playing Album," then during the disco craze for DJ's and parties, single jams that were remixed or made into extended versions were recorded and cut as what was known as the "Giant 45's" which was pretty much the same size as an LP Album...In a way, I wish that I would have kept my collection of vinyl records because today they would be worth a fortune as collector's items...But as times changed, technology changed, and the clean sounds of the CD became available I began to slowly but surely give away all of my vinyl records to friends & family members. Nevertheless, I don't regret it because everyone I gave a record to was special to me and I gave it to them from my heart!!!

Your usual charming self CC giving yet another classy reaction. There are some stupendous artists around, but an enormous majority of them would be hard pushed to top his stage charisma and personality

I love how at 6:30 when he makes that comment about the owl emblem on his buckle in the background, Estelle Brown breaks up, laughing. She still with us actually.😊

Elvis treated his fans like royalty. My love and admiration for him is endless when watching him administer to them. His friend, Sandy Miller tells this story (hope I get it just right). Many fans hung out at his gate at Graceland and Elvis knew many of them name, frequently stopping to talk with them. One day, he asked about an elderly couple who usually was there, but now absent for awhile. No one knew why they stopped coming. Time passed and Sandy, a self professed Elvis “gate girl” ran into the elderly women just outside of the International Hotel where Elvis was performing regularly. Sandy asked the woman where she had been. She explained that her husband had passed away and she didn’t drive therefore could no longer visit Elvis at the gate. Sandy informed her that Elvis had asked about her to which she replied “I know. He came to see me.” Disbelief must have registered on everyone’s faces so the Elderly woman pulled a Polaroid picture from her purse. It showed Elvis sitting on her sofa with a cat on his lap and funeral arrangements in the background. As well, she Explained that he had provided the tickets to his show that night and a means to get there.
    I adore this man!❤️

I had never believed it when my professor in college, both a musicologist and professional symphony musician, himself, told me that he viewed Elvis Presley to be the greatest overall singer of all time. "Why?," "What the hell?," so many of us said? With him first going on to ask what's Frank Sinatra's greatest and/or signature song? "My Way," someone eventually said and then the professor proceeded to show us various polls from over the years which listed Sinatra as the greatest singer ever. Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin were also on top of some, and Elvis, too, on a few. But the point of the exercise was to simply show us Sinatra was considered by many, though it's subjective, to be the greatest.
The class then listened to Sinatra's "My Way," and then Elvis' version, back to back. With the room being roughly split as to whose version was better, "which proved what I thought?" But then the professor showed us Elvis rocking out to 'Trying to Get to You' from the Elvis 1968 Comeback Special. With the point ultimately being that regardless of whose version of 'My Way" you preferred, Elvis was right there, totally at home playing in Sinatra's backyard for lack of better parlance.
But as to Sinatra playing in Elvis' backyard, he said, it couldn't be done, as he said "[i]magine Sinatra, (who he totally loved) trying to do that rock number?" Then going on to say that he had found no singer who had ever sang more genres, more majestically, than Elvis, & he challenged us to find out for ourselves by looking at his full catalogue of Rock, Pop, Soul, Country, Ballads, Gospel and more.
And, when done, I admit I became a convert who was so, so doubtful, at first, I can't even begin to tell you. But from rocking out to 'Trying to Get to You' from that Elvis 1968 Comeback Special, to singing about the dream of humanity coming together with "If I Can Dream," from the same show, I believe you will see what I mean. Elvis even had a voice that could be operatic if you go and listen to 'Hurt' and his version of "You'll Never Walk Alone" will tell you why he has also sold more gospel records than anyone, as well as just tons more, overall. But, with pop and 'Such A Night' to a ballad such as 'They Remind Me Too Much of You,' he did it all, and so, so damn well. While for soul, check out 'Long Black Limousine' or 'You're Wearin' That Loved on Look' which is a bit of another number. Because as Elvis' one album cover says, there's 'Something for Everybody.'
Also, and if ultimately you don't think Elvis is the best, that's totally cool as there really is something for everyone!;-) Great channel and I wish you the best!!! ~ Christopher Tyler
P.S. Those recommendations are only, quite literally, the beginning!

@@ChestCrystal Great to hear you're still around and are planning to make new reaction video's. I can't wait! *hopefully more Mylène Farmer, some Sinéad O'Connor (please! - Fire On Babylon would be a great choice since everyone is doing the obvious Nothing Compares 2U ;-) and Kate Bush :-)) Kind regards from The Netherlands
