I have an ultra suit snd wear s pair of wrist sweat bands, about 4mm thick and give extra protection at the canvas wrist part.

I’m adding a neodymium magnet sown on the outer side of the jacket breast pocket (the side that won’t be used for my phone or camera) and another strong performance magnet parallel to the zipper for hive tools, queen clips, etc.

I see bbwear quietly retired the half length ultra's. Not surprising really as the bees stung straight through the cotton on the arms and legs. They should have recalled it because the bees stung though it more than the standard suit which is still the best suit on the market in my opinion. Thank you, Black Mountain Honey for the videos

Iv got auzarmer suit and it's almost a carbon copy of your bbw suit it's made the beekeeping experience so much more enjoyable. Might be worth a look as they are under half the price of the bbw suit 👍

The one thing I would like changed is the zips on the legs. I'm getting on in years, over 70, and I can't bend as well as I used to. The zips on the outside are difficult to reach. But it is easy to bend my leg across and up but the zip would have to be on the inside. Just a thought. Lovely video by the way.

I made myself some spats. I felt like the area between the boot top and the leg bottom was an invitation to pain. Spats can be wrapped however it is most comfortable for you.

I've been looking for this suit! Ever since Brushy Mountain Bee Supply shut down, I haven't been able to find a suit made out of that material. $500 US dollars is a bit much though but worth the peace of mind.

Some really good suggestions there 👍 Didn’t know that you could get suits made just as you want them 👏👏🇬🇧

I agree and would also recommend a vented bee suit. when its 35C outside you'll be glad.

Sounds very good. I have very nasty bees and need good protection. The last time I saw mine, about 8 bees landed on my wrist and were side by side pushing at the elastic until they managed to push a gap for one to get inside. Have you ever seen bees work together as a team to get inside the suit?

Really wished they made a suit you could literally jump into with ease. Rather, like me looking a clown trying to balance, hopping around and getting my legs through with wellies/boots/trainers/socks on. Without stepping into a patch of mud. A superman suit would be ace. I guess would mean being in your superman beekeeping suit permanently and tearing your upper clothes off to reveal the SBK symbol! 😂

I have a custom-made BBWear Ultra which I bought last year. The wrists guards are now ~1 inch long by default

Guess I'm the weirdo again, I wear wraparound sunglasses as eye protection and a non white sweatshirt. I have found that the moment I wear a white bee suit the bees get fiesty. I've only got a few hives and this year I invested in a Black Mountain Honey Buckfast nuc and these are great but they don't like white.

A one year old video saying its £350.00, yet now they are £400.00? Thats quite the price hike. Thats also before and customisation, so realistically colser to maybe £500.00?? I dont doubt for 1 second they are amazing bee suits but thats some serious money. I'm hoping they have a deal on at the bees show in Telford this year and maybe I'll treat myself.

I bought one last year great suit but i was very disappointed with the amount of cotton it goes half way up the forearm and the same with the legs .. the zips on both legs has also broke one only 3 weeks of use and now the elastic is broke on one ankle .
Another point the mesh on veil could be wired just like aus armour ...
Over all the sting proof material is great . The overall quality is disappointing for the cost of suit

Tight suit. Bend over. Suit Material wedges into but cheeks. Suit too small.
