I totally understand what you mean about them wanting toys. I have a 4 and 5 year who both have autism and besides ABCs and number they never showed interest in toys. We went to the Disney store and my little grabbed the Buzz and Woody and put them together on the floor to play…I bought them and cried. Sent pictures to my whole family. It was a big deal to us
100% on taking what you learn in your therapy classes and doing it at home. It’s all about consistency to to make these therapy sessions worth it bc 1hr a week is not enough if it’s not practiced outside of class.

Have you looked into heavy metal detox for Oakley or the whole family. I just recently put my son he’s almost 2 and I’ve seen an improvement in talking, digestive system so far it’s only been a month. I used to work with kids with Autism and they all had a gut imbalance. You’re doing so good changing to healthy foods. ❤ I have a special heart for kids in the spectrum and there soo smart!
Our daughters on the spectrum and I breast fed her for 4 yrs. I would of stopped at 1 yr but she would use me as a comfort. And after we found out she had autism, I was so glad I lasted as long as I did. It really does help so much!
Breastmilk is great for adults as well. If ur sicks it's good for adults too. Even when u have rash on ur face. It's a natural energy. My friend said it was like pre workout.

Tips for pumping. Put your pump parts that touch milk in a zip bag in a fridge in between pumps. For about 2 or so days. That way you don’t wash every time, makes pumping much easier! Ya every 2 days you was good the pump parts.
Once the parents get into RC for Latherman act, the service coordinator should talk to them about Self Determination, it can 1. Reduce your work case a bit 2. Parents choose the service for their kids. ABA is talked about a lot for autistic children, but there are Floortime options as well. Besides OT and speech, there are social recreation, swimming classes, music classes and many more options. Also if you are in Regional center in Early Start, start looking at Self Determination before your kids turn 3, and make sure that the regional center does the psychological evaluation at 2 years 9 months, latest at 3 years old. And call your service coordinator, don’t wait for them to call you

I had no idea there were long waitlists at other regional centers. I currently work for a regional center in CA and we have large caseloads. It is so overwhelming and parents often think we only work for them but we are so overworked. We hire about every 3 months and we don’t fit in our building. Autism is on a rise and we cannot keep up but my regional center does not like leaving people on a waitlist.
90% of parents I talk to say their is waitlists 🥹😭 I know it’s not your guys fault at all! I hope our system does something about it one day! So our babies get all the help they need!🤍🤍 Ty for what you do!!!🫶

Have you and victor tested yourselves for Autism ? Parents could be carriers. My friend has 3 kids on the spectrum. She had them back to back before any symptoms showed. She wishes she could have waited the 3-5years of the diagnoses takes in between kids. Are you afraid Luciano would have Autism ? Or Your Next Baby ?
