Love this song!!! Sir Elton John, the soundtrack of my entire life since 1972. The same year of High-Flying Bird. Blessings to him cos'he's still standing after all this time.
my first serious passion, who just broke my heart in two... this was our breakup song. haven't really listened to it in decades. Still, those heart memories come back so strong, especially when I hear these lyrics. just heartbreaking, really. And really lovely too for a strange reason.
The photos are from 1976 because on them appear the Rock Of The Westies and Blue Moves band. Line up: Davey Johnstone & Caleb Quaye - Guitars Kenny Passarelly - Bass Roger Pope - Drums Ray Cooper - Percussion James Newton Howard - Keyboards Cindy Bullens, Ken Gold, ?? - Backing Vocals

I'm 56 ...I just feel so much like I did when listening to this song...his inflections, the depth, just beautiful! Regards, Laura
I saw Elton at the Manchester Apollo in April 1979.
