    一個音樂家不會迷失自己,是觀眾自我迷失投注太多自我期待在音樂家身上。我喜歡18歲彈蕭邦的Yundi,也喜歡現在的Yundi。

    A superb virtuoso performance by Yundi---crisp, vigorous, clean exciting; not to mention the tendresse and emotionally clarity when called for. As for all the 'armchair pianists' cited below, rarely have I come across such uninformed balderdash in a public forum!

      +Paddy Cosgrove Well said ,Paddy. you know a good'un when you hear him /her. Personally i think all these comparisons a bit tedious. there are many many good pianists out there,all doing something in their way ,variations on a theme. i have a number of recordings of this work and Yundi would be right up there with any of them

    :)those two versions of Tchaikovsky NO.1 are the same performance, for 2009 NYE (cause i uploaded both), and his interpretation of Tchaikovsky wasn't everybody's favorite,maybe that's why he didn't record a Tchaikovsky album,but the timeline is: 2010 he toured with chopin-themed concert,2011 was Liszt-themed, so his Tchaikovsky isn't your taste, but chopin and liszt?

    It's a real shame Liszt didn't write any good concerti. This attempt really isn't that good at all. It has some weak themes that don't lend themselves well to exploration along with some clumsy orchestration. I think the opening few bars give a good indication of what's to come: very vulgar. I'm surprised Liszt published with it in that state. It's not as if Liszt couldn't come up with a good tune with variations, obvious from Rhapsody 2. I can only guess that he was preoccupied with context and couldn't grow the music organically without worrying about where it left the other component (orchestra or piano)

    • @fanhyulick5746
      @fanhyulick5746 10 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      lol I'd have to respectfully disagree. Don't want to start an argument but honestly I think this piece is truly indicative of Liszt's genius. Some of liszt's melodies here are so beautiful. Especially the five note descending runs starting from c minor, then transposing magically to A major without resolving, and again. This concerto is extremely and surprisingly good. And for those of you who think Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 is good, I don't see how anyone can be touched by the beauty of that rhapsody. If you want to compare, the hungarian rhapsody is like Chopin's F# Minor Polonaise Op.44 (which both of course are amazing in their own respects but not much musicality and expressiveness). But even in those stormy pieces you can't feel the tremendous amount of pain as in 20:55 here. The only other times I can remember such painful expressiveness would be Scriabin's Op.8 No. 12 etude (and maybe rach). Chopin might have some comparable pain, like maybe you could argue that in Ballade No.1/2 the beginning of the coda, (not really ballade no.4 coda). I guess you have the descending octave scales: F# E D# C# B A B C# C# F# in Chopin's 1st piano concerto, but that's kind of a different pain/feel. Of course many of the parts in this piece seem to be just flash but that's what Liszt is known for, so its probably to be expected. And sure if you want to compare flash, hungarian rhapsody is nearly impossible to top, it just has so much flash. I'd suggest if you're into flash more than being touched (to each his own, I won't say one's better than the other, its really just a personal preference, I like a good flashy piece myself too), I'd recommend you look into Mazeppa/La Campanella/Chopin's WInter Wind/Flight of the Bumblebee (yuja wang)

    Sorry, but this is not Liszt's best. After you hear Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 on the piano, this really is a spoiler. I don't know what Liszt was thinking. He always borrows tunes from other composers, and now he's doing the same from himself.
