my dad used to leave the house at 5 am to go to work and didn't get back until about 7 . took him almost 2 hours to get there. he was a tree trimmer who cut around powerlines and sometimes left to go down south for storm work after a hurricane hit..... and man and i remember getting up early in the ole 90s just so i could say bye and just have a few more minutes with him. then cry as i watched him leave threw the old screen door.... felt like he was always working so I cherished every little moment with my dad. i got a boy of my own now and it tears me up when he cries cuz I'm leaving for work..... this song really hits home drew and its nice to know there are people that can relate thank you so much for sharing this song!

This was definitely my dad and I, he couldn't do anything without me. I miss him dearly and he couldn't wait to be a grandpa. I wish I could tell him he's going to be. Songs like this keep me going.

Wow, I honestly don't know where I've been, but I finally discovered Drew watching Tic Tok yesterday, and have been finding songs of his to listen to. I'm sitting here waking my son up for school as I listened to this song and the tears just poured. He lost his father in Oct 2019, and the memories just flooded of the 2 of them. I love that Drew writes his own lyrics and each and every song I've listened to so far from She's somebody's daughter, to It's your loss, I can literally feel his music. He sings each and every song with his whole heart. Country music hasn't had an artist like him in a long time.

My dad is 70 my mom is gone . 😢 He told me a few weeks ago he has to pray to God every day to ask to stay here because I'm struggling with some illness and he won't leave till I'm better. Nothing makes me cry more. 😢❤

I just cryed so Hard.....i lost my dad 1 and half years ago im in germany i got a call from my mom and sister they said daddy Not doin good so i tryed to get there but the embassy in Berlin said no and i wasnt allowed to Travel in the u.s cuz of covied ..he passed away within 2 weeks and the last time i seen my family was 2011 so this video hurt Bad miss you Dad 😪❤️🩹 Well See eachother again one Day in heaven Till then i hope heaven is treating you more than good you deserive it thnks for Being my DAD

my dad always comes to see me every year he was in the USARMY Military he retired and now he passed away in august 18,2021 and now my man is coming home on June 3rd in 20 days more he in the USARMY Military too me and his Son his son is 7 years old he really misses his dad he doesn’t know he coming home to me and his family doesn’t know anything yet
