      Brian is a better all around power lifter than Thor. Thor is no joke but he's not in the same ball park as Brian. I still think Thor needs to pull that 501kg deadlift with a competition bar in front of a crowd like Eddie and everyone else had to. Found it funny he had to use covid as an excuse to lift the WR in his "home gym".... dumbest thing I've ever heard of. Now we're gonna have guys lifting so called "WR" at their home gyms, recording it on their cell phones. Thor opened the door for a bunch of bs that never should've been allowed.

    • @swedishwiking2955
      @swedishwiking2955 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@bradleyburton2664 Well to be fair Thor had already aimed for a real competition to beat the strongman DL WR at , and was already into his prepp when covid shut the world down. Should we have got one year of almost nothing from strongman instead? You can´t blame Thor for the covid shutdown and I strongly belive the fight with Eddie was pre planned long before the WR was done. So it was pretty much his last chance to go for it before dropping weight and focus on boxing for 1,5 year. And Thor actually beat his WR under stronger conditions then Eddie did his 500. Eddie could rest as long as he wanted to and all the other competitors had to adapt to Eddie. The competition was all about Eddie. Brian have talked about it before and he didn´t think it was fair and that´s why he didn´t do the competition. Thors rest time was pre set long before the competition and was shorter then Eddies.

    • @J.c410
      @J.c410 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      @Dale wilson that would be Haftor. Only reason Eddie may have higher pbs in some events is because he used to train like a powerlifter. He would train for a specific record, muscles group, ge t a pr, then move on to the next etc. But at no point in his carreer he was the overall strongest guy in history even in 2017, Why do you think he did so bad at the Arnold the 2 times he attended ? If he was that static monster everyone always talk about, he would have been much much more dominant. Big Z without ever training for a specific record was stronger than anyone in most events and still is. Look at Haftor, only time he actually went for a deadlift prep in a few month he deadlifted 480kg on elephant bar suitless, and destroyed a 501kg deadlift. Eddie took a whole year and couldn't lock out his deadlift properly and almost died becaus eof the insane absue of roids he wa on. BigZ is the strongest static lifter ever, and Haftor has reached the highest level of strengh in history by 2018 / 2020. Peak Haftor would win any strongman contest against any version of BigZ, Brian, Eddie or whoever you could think of
