A thing that has always impressed me with Dreamcatcher choreo is that when they switch between films they are always in the right positions. See "Black or White" for a very fine example.
Good of you to notice that they indeed do a lot of formation changes. Also, the transitions from 1 formation to the next are great. It's cool of you to be curious about how they would dance/ do choreo to these rock-influenced songs, because you are right that it is tricky. Their main choreographer, Hwang Sooyeon, has mentioned it as well, but she took on the challenge, and oh boy, did she succeed 😊
Dreamchatchers choreos are more performance based, as an art form, they don’t really do typical dances were all the members do the exact moves for extended periods like for catchy tic toks trends, IMHO
You make a good observation about much of the choreo following the vocal. It's something Deukae does a lot for the reasons you mentioned. Also the one you mentioned at the end that hits the really high notes is Siyeon.

@@komerican-og Deukae is Dreamcatcher’s shortened nickname of sorts. You’ll see it mentioned by fans and the members occasionally. As I understand it, it is the first syllable of each word of their group name in Korean pronunciation.
dreamcatcher \:D/ a music professor fan once called their choreo rock ballet :D the main vocal is siyeon, one of the best vocals in kpop imo. the thing with them is they are old school, they sing sing and not a part of the lip sync or singing scandal you often hear in kpop. watch the 1thek dancear performance for this song where they sing without input reverb or have post production compression added. when you see siyeon do her final part, you will know now next level they are compared to most peers.

Their choreo usually helps to convey the story and themes so good job picking up on that.

Their earlier Choreographer was Switch Sunny. From Deja Vu and onward is Hwang Sooyeon except for OOTD which was by Lachica

There are some songs where the dance is more hard and complicated than justice dance , like Maison , Boca, deja vu ...
