This was clearly their plan all along! They often bring old characters back so they can kill them off, which creates new storylines for other characters. Natasha was a great character and she could have had her own storylines.

Uh you do know Simon is not actually Nick Tilsley’s son he’s Peter Barlow’s son and Peter had a long history of alcohol problems and prison time where as Nick’s only been to prison once and he does NOT have alcohol problems plus he’s not even Simon’s real dad

I can imagine they will wait till Christmas before Abi reveals she taken the gun leading to her ,Roy and Nina being hated alongside the Platts to take responsibility for the flooding.
