    Really JP, i have a 2003 T100 Bonnie as well as my current Sprint ST1050 and I can honestly say that I would choose the T100 every day if I I could only have 1 bike!
    its about how it makes you feel at the end of the day, not how fast you get there!
    the T100 (790 carbed version) just makes me smile every time i get on it, nothing pretentious just a bloody good honest bike which gives you a sense of what we all love about motorcycling!😀

      Yes! It’s not about the speed, it’s the experience. That’s what I felt on the T120. It was the closest I’ve been to the perfect ride!

    17'' front wheel rather than 18'' on the 120 will quicken the steering as will the steeper rake and trail. Heard others say it's an altogether twitchier ride, encourages the inner hoodlum and can end up feeling frantic. Agree the 120's more relaxed, though runs out of puff. Uprated cam and mapping sorts that. You say you like the 50's look of the 120 then want to chop the mudguard off and stick bar-ends on (which'll make it more vulnerable and wider for filtering). And everything's extra now - colour, grips, centre stand (not for the ST btw) bash plate, grab rail, rack - with luggage you'll soon be up nearer 15 grand!

  • @AuxesisHyperbole666
    @AuxesisHyperbole666 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The 'drop down' mudguard on the T120 is traditional (hence retro) and stops crud spattering up your and especially your pillion's back in the wet. The stalky mirrors on the T120 are similarly traditional and have the bonus of being able to filter without clattering car mirrors. I also prefer looking across more than down to see behind. Bar-ends look like you're going proddie racing, hence ok on the Thruxton.

    Just watched your T120 review and this one is just as enjoyable. Amused to hear you struggling for a preference between the two (T120/Speed Twin), I rode both the T100 and T120 and both Speed Twins and felt exactly the same. Took me a while to decide to order the T100 Chrome. Hope it's as expected when I get it in May. Pretty sure it will.

    Nice comparison. Think I'd definitely go for the Speed as it's lighter and more fun in sports mode. Relaxed rides are nice some of the time but when you get the urge for a bit more adrenaline, it's also good to have that possibility. The Speed Triple appeals even more but I live in Paris with an 18mph speed limit🤣 Merry Christmas.

      @@motomogul It's getting unfortunately harder to avoid because the fines and points are raining down! But I have to admit that I don't always if I think I can get away with it. But where I used to do 60kmh when the limit was 50, I now hardly ever go over 50kmh in the city.

I will add these to the description box too. Thanks Dylan 👍

    Great review. 👍🏻
    The 10,000 miles service interval, is a bit of a con. As it’s 10,000 miles, or 12 months; whichever comes first. And as most peoples PCP deals are 4,000 miles per annum, then it’s clearly 12 months 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @motomogul

      Andrew Becker is correct; you can't re-map almost 20 horsepower. I am enjoying my 2020 Speed Twin here in the U.S., hoping it doesn't develop some of the electrical issues and gearbox problems that people have mentioned (see Van Blamm, etc).

    • @andrewbecker3700

      @@frederickwoods5943 The wiring issue on the early model was because the harness was too short somewhere apparently? I've only heard of sensors failing, never anything mechanical in the gearboxes. Having the bike fall over from stupidity cant be remedied. I'm always amazed at the time and money some fellows are willing to spend on thier bikes without having really any clue what thier doing? Throw some money at it and see what sticks?

  • @MsDenver2

    What’s this thing many modern bikers have including you against mudguards they protect your bike and look fab especially in the matching colours. Then there’s these awful bits of plastic storks on the back of a lot of modern bike and then bikers complain about the mud going al over there bike and expensive jackets. And you said you would cut off the T120 rear mudguard are you mad 🫣🫣.

    • @motomogul
      @motomogul  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Possibly. It’s a case of each to their own MsDenver. A ‘tail tidy’ does make for more modern lines, and this is a modern retro. To me the full rear mudguard is just a little too much of a nod to the past. Hope you get yours soon 👍👍👍
