    I’m very fond of the Platinum 3776 pens. I have five of them in separate nib sizes (SF, M, B, C and Music).
    I have the exact jade celluloid pen you showed here. Mine also has the superb B nib. I’ve always loved jade as a color, and especially in pens. This one is extremely attractive and feels delightful to touch. I also have the blue (Midnight Ocean?) celluloid 3776 w/silver trim. That’s another splendid looker.
    I only wish the celluloid models were exactly the same size as the standard resin 3776 pens. I bought mine from Japan for $290 incl. shipping. Since the nibs are the same, I agree that these are only worth buying for those who really want to have the celluloid bodied pen (I always did). Well-done review of a true beauty.

    I’m so interested in the celluloid 3776! The Nice Lilas (B) was my first gold nib and I was surprised by the feel of the pen body, it wasn’t smooth but rather almost sharp with the facets. Celluloid is so smooth and delicious to hold by contrast! Enjoy!

      Thanks! I think all my Platinums are smooth, but I have heard that feedback on the Nice line. Such a shame because they are great nibs/pens otherwise.

    I have regular 3776. But celluloid looks so gorgeous, with interesting color combinations. Im looking to get one of these in the future.

      They really are quite mesmerizing and not like anything else I have in my collection. The depth of my Primary Manipulation pen is similar, but there is just something intriguing about the celluloid where I find myself just staring at it sometimes. Good luck on acquiring one and I hope you enjoy it!

      @@thestationerydev i heard they do not have inner cap insulation. Is this an issue ex. when pen not used for a long time ?

    I do have three Platinum 3776 Century pens with various nib sizes and a pre order of the Shape of Heart expected in April. I am a fan of this product, but have never experienced a celluloid. While I do appreciate the slip and seal feature, I cannot imagine having a pen inked for over a year unless it was misplaced and later discovered. 😂 I’ve considered testing that claim.

      I adore my Platinums and couldn't resist the celluloid. I haven't really needed the slip n' seal to that extent, but think it is handy and nice to never worry about having to prime the nib/feed like I have to do for some other pens after a few days.

    It's a beautiful pen but as I already have a standard Pilot 3776 Century and this one in the video seems a little small, I'll forego the pleasure this time. 😊

    ¿Number #6 size nib?..
    Just curious.

    • @thestationerydev
      @thestationerydev  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I believe it is about #6 size. It is the standard 3776 Century 14k nib, so nothing different than their regular model.

    Are the Platinum celluloid pens still in production?

    • @thestationerydev

      As far as I know, they are still available and being produced, but probably in more limited numbers. Also depending on what color you want they might be tricky to find.

    Isn’t celluloid highly flammable?😮

    • @thestationerydev
      @thestationerydev  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is chemically, but as log as you don't throw it into the fire or set it on an open flame or anything, you should be fine. It actually does come with an insert from the factory that reminds you that it is flammable lol

    Too short.....could they make pens for normal, average hands ? Not huge, simply average hands. Like a Twsbi Eco, just to make an example.

    • @thestationerydev
      @thestationerydev  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I think I have fairly average hands and this one is right on the edge of possibly being too short. That being said, I have come to love shorter pens that I can post like Sailor PGS, Pelikan M200, and Pilot Prera.
