PAPAJI - Give me Enlightenment, please! (Full Compilation)

  • In this all time’s favourite and inspiring compilation Papaji stresses the fact that one must not only give up the search for enlightenment but, more importantly, the idea that there is one who can engage in a search. He says that the “I” is the only hindrance to the realization of the truth of who one is. The seeker is the problem. He then explains how to let go of the concept of “I” and, in fact, all concepts. He says, “God is” remains as the only truth-not known but experienced.
    Papaji also speaks about the blessing of finding a true teacher, a guru, and how one should come to the guru.
    Everyone interacting with Papaji in this video ends up sitting up on the couch with him, with the whole room bursting up in laughter.
    Videos, Books and Audio Cds of Papaji are available in India at Papaji Satsang Bhavan: www.satsangbhavan.net/ and in the US and rest of the world at Papaji Avadhuta Foundation: avadhuta.com/
    This DVD is available with subtitles in English, Dutch, German, Hebrew, Italian, Norwegian & Korean.

    Kabir says "in a half of a second, in half of a half of a second- tell me what you find? Who are you then?"
    I love that Papaji references Kabir often. I have loved him for many years also. Its beautiful to see them meet.
    Simple message.

    This consciousness is so grateful 🙏 to existence that I was able to sit in satsang with this beautiful master of non-duality. This simple direct vessel of love and awareness.
    I fell in love with Ramana in the then sat with Gangaji late 80's to 90's. And made it to India in '96. What an incredible blessing that we have had these perfect messengers of truth in our lives.
    Miraculous ✨️ 🙏 🕉 self to self, heart to heart. Only this.

    The unknown is frightening as long as there is the sense of self. When we face the unknown and abandon selfhood, then the unknown changes from being frightening to being mysterious, full of wonder. The mind is left in a state of wonderment, rather than terror. This is the transmutation that frees, it liberates, it is our path.

    • @riekabosman7894
      @riekabosman7894 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Quietness is always the case. Inside the inside. Turn attention there. And it has been a process of learning to want only this. The habits of attention toward movement, feeling and thought has strong momentum. But what I notice is that remembering that this is simply habit only not truth of the stillness of this moment. Its been 9yrs since the resting here has become natural and the attachments to relating with the personal (seperate) is strong yet can be seen, and known that that is simply what is happening. It needs to be the only thing that matters, the only thing one wants. It then will be clear there is no one to want and all that matters and is is this...just this moment

      @@riekabosman7894 thank you for your words to me ( and all), I can hear and feel you and your experience, the truth inside. but there is a but. but... I have to do so many things to make a living, how, a lot of doubt these days in everything and everybody. Needs a lot of patience I suppose (excuse my english, I´m from Germany). Lerning to rest, stillness is the core of a book I wrote, but it´s full of all around sensations also and most of the time. I was in India again after 36 years, and heard, read, saw a lot of Poonjaji. Now, when times are too hard inside I come back, just to hear his voice and words. Thank you again.

    • @riekabosman7894
      @riekabosman7894 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@MichaelAdamsFilm the 'but' is mind only. It can be tricky to use words because its so clear to me that mind has a way of interpreting words. Im glad you felt the words I used to resonate inside. Thankyou. And the story of the past experience needs to be left alone also, and the 'I have so many things to do' story. Its all in time and of mind. I have found papas 'keep quiet' soo very helpful when looking deep inside, I can relate to how you have used this as a resource for connection to the source of who we truely are. Remember this moment is actually all there is, this, nothing happening, no story about work, survival, children, partners, tomorrow...even the next moment...just this simple being...sooo simple...just this. Gently notice any movement to protect the stories, it can be like theres a belief that we can not survive without them, identification with the story...they are just words accompanied by feeling and giving the suggestion that there is someone here, doing. Somehow a belief that there need to be 'doing' for survival. Check this out. is there something or nothing...and even less than that...all of it must go. Watch any reaching out. Theres a learning to turn and rest inward, such simplicity. I have found gentle noticing to be very valuable because we have had such extreme conditioning around hardening our view, our perspective. Enter Yin! softness, heart...Love :) Nice to speak with you Mel

      See the thing is its not a doing. Its the opposite. Being is our true nature. The simplest. Conditioning of believing thought is strong in all of us, so its easy to just believe its difficult. Depends on where ones attention is. If in the mind then it will seem its difficult. if its from here then its seen its the simplest...nothing to do for this as it is always and always has been and always will be, this, here, right this instant. This instant is all there is :)...its helpful if the heart is allowed to be itself. feels like a marriage of heart and mind, and rest in mind and body. Totally against the grain of all our conditioning

      @@RamKumar-yi6wn Yes Ram. And you? Isnt it wonderful, and full of everything? It has been a process however, coming to rest in this moment as awareness. Its only been recent since doubt has dropped away and noticing any movement of attention away from this moment is felt in the body and I see and feel some remnants of beliefs...and it feels this is all it too. All welcome..or not, sometimes what arises does not feel welcome and movement away from here has been seen to happen. Every moment as freshly seen as possible. Not in a doing sense because resting there is nothing to do and no one to do...just flow AND movement arises to be seen as it is and fully felt. its seen as living hand in hand. To enter into a little bit of a story, its ben 9yrs since the first huge experience of opening to true nature (which literally blew my mind) and such a mysterious journey since. Such an intense experience it has been for me. I can see why it if often called a Calamity :)

    There is a lot of talk about self here. Is there worship of God in these teachings?

    • @cytuber
      @cytuber 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @mokshala: Sometimes the word ‘self’ can be confusing.
      The self (little ‘s’) refers to one’s false identity, personhood, ego or self-image. The ‘Self’ (capital ‘S’) refers to God/God within, Christ/Buddha Consciousness, Awareness etc.
      The Advaita teachings are primarily about removing the focus from little self
      and placing the attention on the “I am” (the big Self) - that which was - before our false self-identities and beliefs formed.
      This tradition doesn’t try to explain, interpret or describe what God is, rather it attempts to help people shift their focus away from the little self to that which is created in the ‘image of God’ or the ‘Kingdom within’ so people come to know It (God) by being It (God Conscious/Buddha-Christ Conscious/Enlightened).
      To really worship God is to become one with God
