- On this episode we feature the most insane BMW powered car we've ever seen! Budler Motorsport shipped their billet block BMW powered race car all the way from South Africa to compete at the 2018 Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals. They were able to run a new personal best and further secure their title of quickest and fastest BMW in the world!
Proudly South African - for those saying this isnt a BMW, shut it. Theres a build list of this car online - the head, crank etc is E34 M5 based. Its BMW engine with a Billet block

Love all the haters in the comments!!! Trust me, they have done extremely well! Guys in the states can buy speed parts from macdonalds, in SA they have to import (mega bucks) or make their own speed parts!!! And did they win any races, maybe not , but don't forget it is a single turbo 6 cyl going up against twin turbo v8's!!! And , erm, the V8's are more than likely billet versions of the originals too!!!!
People can't seem to understand that factory parts aren't meant for this level of racing. Billet parts are a must to compete at this level. And this thing is fast. Very fast.
To be honest that is the truth as i know boetie budler and marias the driver of this bmw i know them personally and its not so easy to get custom mods in sa so yeah we gota bring it over so yeah its true if we had all the parts America has we would definitely be the fastest ever 👍👍
Hate when people say, "only thing on this car that's BMW is...". You don't know so keep it shut. Have some respect for what they've been able to do with the car, not how much of the manufacturer parts are on the car. This is an amazing machine none the less. Congrats on the fastest BMW guys!
It's not a BMW if it doesn't have anything BMW on it💀 it's like slapping a mercedes shell on a dragster and calling it a Mercedes.
Most of the European/German car manufacturing plants are also in South Africa since the 1950s. So South Africa has a huge industry in European automotive expertise and infrastructure, aftermarket parts stores, professional racing, street racing just like the USA has for all American built cars and Japanese cars. So if you guys in the USA want high horse powered European German engines, ask the South Africans. They have been doing it for decades in various motor sports disciplines no engine swap crap. Wow why so much hate, everybody out there is running the same combination. 2018 the technology is out there and running 5 or 6 sec over 180mph of course the chassis has to be modified and pass inspection for those times. At that level of racing no matter the manufacturer the motor is Billet so a Ford isnt a Ford and a Chevy ain't a Chevy if this BMW isnt a BMW . It's just proof that any motor can be built to run

The point here is that its bmw powered dude. Yes it's a tube frame with a bmw styled promod cover on it.
That means that Jeff lutz and Larry dent really drive chevies. Heck their motors aren't even based on anything in particular I believe they're custom built by dudes.
So the only actual "real" bmw part on the car is the hood stamp above the grill ?
And its the same on the "Chevy" "Ford" or "Mopar" Promods. Everything is billet and custom made with a logo on it.
