It's pretty unfortunate that this round was only rated 1062. This course was SO tough that the ratings point margin per stroke was so tiny, a hot round like this couldn't climb that far up the ratings. This round deserved to be 1080-1090. It was one of the greatest rounds shot in 2021 and it involved a triple bogey!
so you want courses to have ratings and base your rating off that. do you take wind, temperature, etc into account and adjust course rating so it is different every time. Comparing against player pool is the only way to do it realistically. maybe you could just ignore the rating number because it is about as important as flight numbers on a disc. They are only there for noobs.
@@brian6speed I don't think they're taking issue with the ratings system comparing against the player pool. Just kind of lamenting that the ratings system has this "compression" issue where points per stroke gets smaller on harder/bigger courses. Of course you don't need numbers to tell you this is an unbelievably sick round, but I think saying rating numbers are only for noobs is kind of silly. As a sports fan it's fun to look at stats, and the round rating is the best single stat we have for overall sickness of a round. There's nothing wrong with wanting it to be better.

4:40 His drive on 6 is INSANE. The camera doesn't do the gap justice. The best drive of your life barely makes the corner and he's getting a perfect turn and flat finish. 🤯
He's one of Innova's last remaining lead card players. It would be interesting considering the flak they've been getting. I would love to see him go full Heimborg this year.

By far one of my favorite rounds/courses to watch last season. So fun to see all the players challenged.
The fact that Calvin triple bogie’d a hole and still ended up with a -7 round at ledgestone is insane! So many birdies!!

For sure the number 1 player at innova. He is the 4th highest rated player in the world, after all.
I’d love to see a graphic of what he’s throwing for these highlight rounds.
