I allways under cook my pizza they never turn out right . and youv a nice personality you allways come across as a good friendly person thats one reason people watch
After what felt like decades of tasting disappointing frozen supermarket pizza, time and time again, and straight from the oven, I finally found one that genuinely compares to the ones I have eaten in Italy. Crosta & Mollica Stromboli Pizzetta. Five different toppings but it’s their Prosciutto ham, mushrooms & mozzarella that’s just divine. These mini pizzas are the perfect size and arrive in twos for just over a fiver. They fit absolutely perfectly into my air fryer/oven and are ready in minutes. Bar none, best frozen supermarket pizza you can buy in my humble opinion
Brilliantly entertaining review on such a dull, dreary and dark Sunday.. just what we needed to pick us up.. loved it Gaz. Keep them coming.. Good luck with the diet😂😂👍🏴
Great review Gaz as always i always cook pizzas straight on the metal bars so the bottom gets nice and crispy but as always put extra chillies and cheese is a must 👍👍
I've had a few of these now and I love them. Every pizza needs a different method to get it perfect and it took me a couple of times to suss it out. Every oven is different also so there's no point me saying how I tweak the cooking instructions to suit mine. Suffice to say, if you cook these a few times they will get better each time. Some simple tips though are - 1) Don't put it on a cold baking tray to cook, let the tray heat up with the oven. 2) Do not put it too high in the oven, the middle is the best place for a frozen pizza. 3) When it is getting near readiness, watch it like a hawk. if it cooks for even one minute too long it will totally change the pizza and not in a good way. If you take it out one minute too soon it will also be way below the standard it can be. It's all about the timing, hitting that 30 second window when it reaches perfection.
There's one simple way to get the best cooked pizza. Pizza stone! Best investment I ever made. You just stick it in the oven on full temp for at least 30 mins or for top result 45, then put the pizza on it and back in at the correct temp for the suggested time or until top and sides of the pizza looked cooked.. and then boom! The base and middle will be nicely cooked too :)
I haven't bought a Chicago Town pizza in a long time because they were and still are more expensive than a supermarket's own branded ones; but I do remember them being uniquely tasty, filling and never disappointing. Sainsbury's are currently doing 3 takeaway fully loaded pizzas for £2.85, Four Cheese, BBQ Chicken and Meat Feast, but only the Four Cheese is Stuffed Crust. I have only tried the Meat Feast so far, which I think is nice, the Four Cheese doesn't interest me, but will give the BBQ Chicken a try soon.
I had 1 of them yesterday with chips. Was amazing. 1 of the best pizzas I've had in many months. Bit pricey at £4.50 but cheaper then a pizza shop at £12 to £14. Great video. Cheers.
Hope you're spot-on Gareth! If you enjoyed that, maybe try the M&S pizza. Hand stretched sour dough is amazing. They do a few different flavours, I've tried them all. I'm not a veggie, but the four cheese, mushroom and spinach is probably my favourite. Lovely crusts. Love your humour mate, keep up the great work
Another belter of a review looks like you have cooked that perfectly in my humble opinion, that is how I like my pizza but each to there own, keep up the great honest reviews, keep safe and well as always matey ☺😆😉.
Hi Gareth I have the same bench oven as you and its great for making pizza ! Now a little bird in Australia gave me a great tip for pizza crust 1 & 1/2cups of flour 2 tablespoons of greek yoghurt a little salt olive oil and whatever else you fancy, knock up a dough job done. I make all my own topping, garlic paste tomato puree chilli flakes oregano italian herbs PIG and cheese finished off with pitted black olives and sliced capsicum shove it in SAGE -- FAB Mike Salt
Great review again... These Chicago Town Pizzas are such a great alternative to Herbies and Domino's Pizzas, without the obvious price tag. So many times I had a craving for buying a Pizza from a takeaway but the price has put me off. I then purchase one of the Chicago's instead, and so glad I did. No more cravings for a month or so... 😊
Loved it. You always make it entertaining whatever it is. I like the Chicago Town raw dough ones but you really need a pizza pan for those. Damp and dark here too in Billinge but this brightened up my day.
I always do mine in the air fryer these days ,but sometimes they are to big to fit in , so your best off cutting it in two , stick them in the micro wave 30 secs just to reheat 🙌
I cut them into 4 and do 2 pieces a time,by the time you've eaten 1 piece each the other ones are ready,I never burn them but I do often put olive oil on the bread bit
I love the small microwavable chigago town pizza's. Three minutes in the microwave, a quick, easy snack. They were on special offer at £1 for a pack of two, so i bought six packets and stuck them in the freezer for those days when I can't be bothered.
Hey Gareth, we too will be enjoying game goodies in the states, wings today I'm thinking 😋 ..starting to say GOODNESS ME when I see store prices these days 😂
❤ love the Aldi everyday essentials small pizzas and I put spicy chicken, mushrooms, peppers and cheese serve with chips and salad with garlic Mayo yummy xx
Just a heads up Gareth,I did some research regarding these types of pizza ages ago. Most of the time although they are different brands they are all made in a massive pizza plant in Lincolnshire bud.
I used to be well into pizzas. I still buy the odd couple for our Poker Night get together. Obviously I buy them from either Lidl or Aldi. I do have a local Domino's, but their prices are ridiculous. I'm not as big an eater as I used to be. Just a couple of slices would do me. I have bought the Chicago Town mini pizzas, a pack of 2 for under 2 quid. They are not that bad. I also know that you can now buy readymade pizza dough and make your own, but it just seems like too much hassle to create your own. And that's coming from someone who prefers to cook from scratch. A great review as always 👍👏👍. Keep up the good work of reviewing the best and the worst food out there.
Crosto & Mollica. They do the absolute very best supermarket pizzas. Even the veggie ones are good because of their marvelous bread. But the best is the spicy stromboli one.
Great honest review as usual, and quick turnaround to get on channel 👍we didnt have a pizza tray for a while and was a pain, so much easier with one - if fact now got 2 😂
I got one from morrisons, my ovens on the blink, ive used the microwave air fyrer & the grill,a couple were frozen some had thawed out.they were ok,but grilling not a good option it gave me the two bob bits..the small town pizza's are better for microwave & they fit in the air fyrer..
With no bottom heat in a non commercial oven it is hard to get colour to the base. You could bake a stone or a tray maybe for 15 mins beforehand to give the base a head start before you place the pizza on it. I'm🥰 retired on that one now after 40yrs LOL.
Entertaining vidio watching you baking that pizza 🍕 all that flapping around 😋 Glad you enjoyed the pizza 🍕 in the end Gareth. But I prefer prefer homemade. All the very best Tim
I'm not a fan of the Chicago town sauce so I wouldn't buy this but I'll enjoy watching you try it. Thanks as always for another honest and entertaining review 💜💜💜
Buy ready made from the odd supermarket. When I cook them I add fresh tomatoes, garlic, sun dried tomato paste, sprinkle with fresh oregano. Oh, and a drizzle of olive oil. I make sure there’s nothing on the edge of the pizza to drip on to my oven as I place the pizza directly on a rack. Crispy bottom guaranteed.
Hi Gareth, I do enjoy a Chicago Town pizza, I normally spread out the pepperoni and the meat. It's wet dark and grim here in Wrexham, the weather not too good either................ Enjoy your pizza, catch you soon take care
When I cook a Chicago Town pizza, I cook it on a baking tray at the highest the oven can go and for like 5 minutes more then the box says, works for me every time :)
That made me chuckle on a miserable wet Sunday afternoon, so thankyou! 😂 I’ve never tried a Chicago town pizza, I might try that one. By the way, I see you’ve got the Sage mini-oven there, you know they also do an indoor pizza oven? It’s not cheap but it does cook great pizza. Anyway I do enjoy your videos. 👍
When my eldest cooks these he always leaves it until it looks done then turns the oven off and leaves it in to cook on free heat especially pepporoni it dries the grease up on the top
I had a Carlos thin crust stone baked sweet chilli chicken pizza yesterday from Aldi, but I added more cheese and a few jalepeno's. The pepperoni ones are good too, even if you don't doctor them up. I think they're only about £150-199, well worth it if you haven't tried them before.
I remember a friend years ago worked in the factory where they made these pizzas. He said he’d never buy one after what he had seen 😂 that being said…it’s most likely a common issue with processed foods.
We have a dominos pizza near us £24 for 13.5 inch minus £12 plus £2 delivery im not impressed to be honest.they have a build your own pizza but it seems very expensive for the odd add ons..
Are u going to try the new doner kebab meat from myprotein? In iceland fiver a bag new just come out , not chicken kebab, its proper doner kebab meat, 😀 hopefully better than the other doner meat on the market, love your channel
You can't beat a pizza 🍕 a Gareth, i had a Chicago Pepperoni the other day, i haven't had one for a little while, it was alright i guess, i find the CO OP Sweet Chili Chicken or the Spicy Texas Barbecue thin base pizza good just recently, and good value for money!
If there's a Morrisons near you, try their "award winning" pizza "Morrisons The Best Prosciutto Cotto, Portobello Mushroom & Mascarpone Pizza" it's on another level and I can see why it's award winning. The topping on it is sparse but that's all part of it and it's one of the best pizza's I have ever had, I mean it's very close to an authentic Italian pizza where it's mostly the bread, but there's just a smattering of toppings on it and you realize when eating it... OK this is a proper pizza. We have no idea outside of Italy what a pizza is but those Morrison's ones are great.
£2.99 in Farmfoods Gareth
Great will pin this thank you. 👍
£3 in Asda if you can afford the extra 1p
@@mansfieldlad123 😂
👌😆
Can’t afford the 1p 🎉😂😂❤
You know when the pizza is hot, when it takes the skin off the roof of your mouth!😊
Let it stand!
Great video Gareth, its strange how pizzas are round, come in square boxes, and we cut them in triangles 😂
Good point haha 😄
You've been watching Dexter 😂
Dough!... 😂
@@carolejenkin454 brilliant
Round boxes might cost more

Yes that's a good on one.
They do pizza bases with pizza sauce too so you can bang your own favourite toppings on!
Brilliantly entertaining review on such a dull, dreary and dark Sunday.. just what we needed to pick us up.. loved it Gaz. Keep them coming.. Good luck with the diet😂😂👍🏴
Isn't it horrible I am in Staffordshire.
Gareth just put it straight on the oven shelf as is mate it won’t make a mess and it will crisp the bottom up a tad
Great review Gaz as always i always cook pizzas straight on the metal bars so the bottom gets nice and crispy but as always put extra chillies and cheese is a must 👍👍
"How many pieces do I want?"
You want one piece, Gaz. One big, round piece.
Looks good, it certainly rose up. 😊. Chicago town is a brand I’m not familiar with here in Australia.
Superb Gareth. There's nothing like being prepared - and that was nothing like being prepared 🤣
Great review & thanks for sharing Gareth .Enjoy the football 😊👍🍕⚽️
Thanks 👍

😂 last week Tesco was doing these £3 club card..I ate the loaded cheese with tomato filled crust for five days straight..luv them😂

Who remembers Findus french bread pizzas, They were nice even though they were only cheese and tomato
Lidl have something similar, they're very cheap but nice. They do two flavours, one is a veg with pesto sauce which is different but tasty.
They did a few different flavours, not just Cheese & Tomato.
Another great show. Spot on.😊

"That indicates the pizza's hot when steam comes off". Nice one Gareth. xD
I always spread out the toppings to the edge. It stops the outside burning and the middle being undercooked.
Great tip!
Thanks Gaz another blinding review happy Sunday enjoy the quiet bud 😋🖖✨️🎬
Your pizza slice joke always makes me laugh ❤

Fantastic video Gareth.
Good video gaz, a bit faffing about there 😀, the pizza looked good.
The one with the stuffed hotdog is top quality. Get them in Iceland too

When I cook a Chicago Town pizza, I cook it on a baking tray at the highest the oven can go and for like 5 minutes more then the box says, works for me every time :)
The only time I ever turn on my main fan assisted oven is for pizza, placed on an open shelf. Perfect in 20 mins.
Ohhhhh mmmm I’m so gonna buy this
When you put the pizza slice up to the camera I opened my mouth. How disappointing was that? Now I'm hungry!
It looks one of the best
Man that looked good mate.
Yes was a little soft in the middle but I still ate it lol

Luxury sheer luxury. We had to eat stale bread

Love chicago towns one with tomato filled crust ones, good size as well for the 630g ones

U tried the absolute banger pizza from Iceland they are 10/10
Nice one Gareth 🤡🤡👍 The pizza 🍕 joke always makes me smile 😀😀😀
