It doesnt make sense, logically, until you see the bigger picture. Its not about making sense. Its more about pushing business toward specific courses, and powerful people, or companies, in the sport. Look at who owns the specific courses and tournaments. Somebody owns them. . Another small factor is keeping a flow about the travel. Nobody wants to drive 16 hours back and forth for a schedule that does not flow, logistically.
We decided six months was long enough for Kristen to be the U.S. champion. As far as the look of the course goes We didn't really care about it that much and We knew the Ladies would play and deal with it regardless. They're resilient!
Pretty sick of pros critiquing/complaining about the mulch in the fairways on these early season courses. These courses are primarily put in with public funds and volunteer labor. In my region (PNW) grass doesn't really grow much in a forest. If it does its an exception or its forced in and you lose a lot of plant diversity in the process.
It's wild to have a championships right at the start of the season! Especially when the season hasn't even started in many parts of the country/other countries due to the winter still pushing on. But let's watch this! The card is awesome 😊
I think it is not acceptable to have the baskets up high because the collars are not seated properly in the ground. It should not be acceptable for any pro disc golf tournament, much less a major, much less the US women's championship. Whoever is responsible for this needs to get their act together!
Basket height regulations need to be a thing. It really puts you off when the basket is a couple inches higher than "normal". You can't really tell it's raised just by looking so you putt normally and miss low a lot...
Thanks for the great coverage and commentary, as usual. Really sorry you are all being run ragged like that. Not sure why this Tournament is being played at the first of the season instead of the end. My guess it's part of the trend for businesses to make decisions based soley on bottom line and revenue generation, ignoring customers and players alike. History will decide whether this trend continues (bad), accelerates (really bad) or was just some temporary growing pains (best case scenario). Thanks again for sharing.
ugh brand new corse mulch is horrible - unpleasant in every way. Meh footing, random ground play, and terrible for pull carts with Zuca type narrow wheels.
To the two commentators, you’re lucky they even put on events like this for women. There is zero money in it. My whole PDGA career I watched women players complain about things, instead of being thankful for what they had (not all, but a substantial amount). I see a hell of a lot of men trying to make this sport possible for women, I wish more women players would help that cause rather than expecting it to happen for them.
I think it is a reference to the Jomez Live cast that was commented from Brian and Jerm yesterday as alternative to DGN commentary. And I partly agree - some aspects of the ladies game is much better reflected (no deep analysis needed) from other ladies rather than male players (even if they have a lot of playing experience).
This is really fun to watch, not. No energy. Sure it's great to watch the 1 out of 50 shots that pure the line but overall it's an energy zapper to watch and obviously to play by the look of the card.
I got to play sprinkle valley with my friend back in January. Awesome venue!
"Beers Tacos Disc Golf" I'd have to pull over if I saw that sign!!
And camp
Excited to watch the rest of the tournament to determine if this course is Northwoods Black 2.0 or if this card was just having a rough day
Lol Missy Gannon literally making everyone else look like Amateurs
How do you say someone isn't playing very well without saying it. " Her mental game is looking really solid" lol 😅😅😅
Why do i always get so emotional and hyped with the intro!?!?
Isn't it a bit early in the season for a championship? Idk maybe i'm dumb.
Came here looking for this comment. Me and you can be dumb together cause I sure dont understand how PDGA decided on that.

@@coachbrandon01"somebody owns them" very profound
Closest to the pin
And yet deepest in the rough
Sounds like a poem
Hooonk! ❤
Really missed the “Hailey Mary” opportunity
I was praying for it ...
I was thinking “Haileylujah”. 😊
If blomroos could put she would be amazing
How do all the opening segments keep getting more and more epic. I can’t start one of these videos without getting chills anymore? 🤨
Ohn should win from such a positive spirit.
Wait, is this the same as USDGC? Why is it so early in the year??????
Major honks - loving this course
@0:42 slo mo of PERFECT release by paige.
Hailey looks like a good player having a bad round - but Kat looks like a very raw talent who needs a lot of coaching.
Bring on that big honk energy ladies, lets go!
Einhorn is Finkle
Finkle is Einhorn
This is early in the year for DGC, no?
44:16 For my goaltending frisbee homies: Hailey dropped into butterfly. 🦋
gotta cover that 5 hole
@@roastbillyou got that right
Gosh I love THG
Hailing mantis on hole 9. Crazy good!
That was a badass intro
Thanks Jomez!
why are we playing the women's championship at inconsistent times at unpolished venues? what is the PDGA/DGPT's thought process here??

Don’t forget the wonky baskets.
Hot goosebumps intro, well done
Love it

Love the thumbnail! Favorite one ever!
Zach and Mint pushed for the event to be in May, but well you know, the PDGA.
Touchy course
0:25 Angela Tschiggfrie?
Thank you!
Gotta have that big HONK!!! Energy!
Just in time for new Girls5Eva

Thank you for returning to the superior scoreboards where we see all players through 'X' holes!
haily king knees drop was almost like a hockey goalie try to get a save
Missed a great Arrested Development reference…🎶”solid as a rock!”🎵

First major of the year!!!
HOONK!
The taller buckets are annoying foshooo 😣
when you show the events of other cards right away, it spoils the excitement a bit.
Otherwise I like it. 👍👍
"Legendary" Sprinkle Valley sign? Isn't this course only like 4 months old?
Hailey’s drive on 8 made me actually duck
Madison seems like she’s over the 2 hot geese label 😂

Keep women's sports safe.
..... lifetime deaths during jomez coverage remains at zero
Am I imagining it or has Kat put on some muscle? Her shoulders look distinctly wider than last year.
The rumor is she's put on 220 lbs of muscle in the last 5 months.
Ridiculous rumor. She couldn't have added more than 210.
I was thinking the same thing. She looks absolutely jacked!! I thought it was Jason Statham wearing a wig.
lol Missy go off
Wahooooo!!!!
I hope Ella Hansen wins! She's the best

blurred video....again :(
Not for me, you might have to check your playback resolution.
Has Kat Merths big feets or is it the shoes make it so?
Makes it so the shoes do.
Love this! 🎉❤ Honk!
Too many check ins.. annoying
OB when there is already a natural penalty for missing a line is stupid. I really don't like that trend in disc golf
Speed up play if people are hacking out of the woods its much slower
Major Honk reporting for duty!
Hole 1. Narrow tight hole in the woods
Hole 2. Narrow tight hole in the woods
Hole 3. Narrow tight hole in the woods
Hole zzzZzZZzzZzz

Mertsch is not lead card material.
Thank you for saving me from the 4 hour long male analysis festival. You ladies rule...honk.
Analysis festival? You talking about jerm/uli/sexton? They spend more time goofing about Matty O's frog hop than analyzing XD
@@kwuganatorfor real, what analysis exactly? jerm just rambles about god knows what

Congrats to the top 4: M. Gannon has good putting, N. Ryan has good power.
Go figure lol
Tons of power. She must've lifted a lot of weights to get those shoulders so strong.
The cd is skipping at the end.
