"Ampoid" Mini-Guitar Amp

- Hey everyone,
So today I'm doing a quick review of the "Ampoid." This is a miniature guitar amp built into a Newman's Own mint tin. This came from Chris on etsy, from his shop of the same name, ampoid. What a great little amp! I was certainly surprised with how great this amp actually sounds, given the size of the speaker. Great for on the go and practicing at low volumes. It has a built in on/off switch, with the volume being controlled via the guitar. I would recommend it to anyone that may be interested, and for about $30, you really can't go wrong!

I ordered mine yesterday. Can't wait to try it out. Basically because of this video. If I hadn't seen this I probably wouldn't have even gave it a second thought. So thanks for making this video dude.

I just ordered mine, mostly to beat a bandmate in the "smallest amp brought to practice" category, but im also really stoked that it seems to have a good sound as well.

I live in an apartment and I don’t have the space for a traditional amp. This might be a good alternative for me!
Most definitely! I would highly recommend it for that, it can get pretty quiet but still sound really good. And it takes pedals well!
You can get the little marshall or fender amps aswell their pretty good

Really like your SRV strat, they're so stunning. I (mostly) use a 2016 Fender American Elite Strat in Skyburst Metallic (check them out if you haven't! its my dream guitar and I luckily already own it haha)
I run this into a spring tank and then various analogue pedals, and then into a beautiful modern Orange AD30 - 2x12 Combo, I still really dig how this insanely tiny and cheap amp sounds and it got pretty loud compared to your voice so must be loud in real life....for playing country blues in a forest or something haha, so I'll buy one and take my mexican strat to the woods and jam with the birds on a pocket amp haha.

How are you supposed to change the 9 volt battery inside when it dies?
Is it loud enough to get feedback if you crank the volume and put it right up to the strings? I've been considering using one of these mini amps as a base for a feedback generator that could be installed inside a guitar without having to cut up the body.

I have no clue unfortunately, not sure how the low end would sound through the tiny speaker!

You can, it's a single 9v battery, all you have to do is carefully remove the speaker baffle!

Not that I know of, but I can say that it actually takes pedals really well! I was shocked!
