Okay, but like, pottery is like so attractive😍 I'd love to learn it someday, its just so messy and expensive... And i crochet and i'd like to learn knitting someday Grandma things are fun🤡
Grian: "this is the worst content all we do eat and drink water" *finds island with a ton of materials to gather***( Grian" "you reckon we leave this island?"
Grian: “I think we’ve exhausted this island, though.” Tons of scrap, sand, and clay remain…. All resources they desperately need this early in the game. 😂 Oops!
I'd love to see you play devour with Impulse, Grian and Joel. It's a more mature game- scarier than phasmophobia but I think itd be hilarious with you all trying to round up the goats in the first round.
If you make the cooking pot, you can turn 4 potatoes or 4 beetroots into vegetable soup and it takes a while to go down, you just need to make clay bowls to hold the soup in.
At some point about a minute after Grian *finally* joined the call someone in chat said Bad Boys Podcast or something like that and I genuinely out loud said "YES AND GUEST STARING FWIP"
[all at once] Joel: Jimmy there’s a box. Pick up the box. It’s in the box. Jimmy. Jim. PICK UP THE BLOODY BOX! Fwhip: there is no box. I don’t see a box. Jimmy: I DONT SEE A BOX! Grian: (whines) Guys, we’re still not moving! 😫 This had me rolling!
Just the fact that they basically never check the catching nets for stuff. They need plank 1:09:10 , what do I see, bloody plants stuck in the catchers
Raft is maybe a bit unfair in regards to food, however, you guys didn't really use the catching nets. Bloody hell you could havew had so much wood and shit. PLUS, having more of them might be a great idea to gather a lot of resources.
The irony of watching a stream with people playing and saying how bad/frustrating the game is but the stream making you want to pick up the game again because if you actually pay attention and play the game it's really fun 😆 Any game is going to suck if you're not paying attention to how to play!! Early game is a little bit of a grind, yeah, but not as much of one if a) you're not constantly wasting wood, b) you fish regularly for food and stop on every island you can to clean it out of resources, and c) focus on getting metal ingots up and running so you can get the good tools and start working on the radio. Once you get the radio you can really start progressing! Also the wood grind will slow a bit when you get the better water sourcing as that doesn't require wood at all.
Ark is fun if you play with the right settings, the base settings make the game VERY grindy and boring so I recommend following a setting tutorial. Also the person who said that online can be toxic is very right, the first time I played on a public server I got spawn killed and betrayed and if you log off all of your creatures WILL get murdered. I personally love the game when I play on a private server with good settings and even better friends, if you do that you will have a lovely experience with the game. Quick note the game never properly tells you how to play aside from a hidden tutorial menu so I recommend playing with someone who knows what their doing so if you get stuck they can help you.
ARK can be fun, especially on a private server with some friends. However the interface isnt super friendly, the crafting and stuff has like a bunch of different text and buttons which crowds the screen and makes it difficult to use and understand
Doesn't it feel nice waking up one day and realizing you're getting older because the years are just disappearing before you know what happened to them?
pineapples actually take 2-3 years to grow, I've have them in my garden when I was little and I only got to eat two pineapples from the plant before we moved houses but idk i just think its funny that in the game it only takes like 15 mins or so. Anyway great stream! Love you guys yall are so funny together!!
I feel they need to change the difficulty setting to easy or even peaceful to actually go anywhere. They are so focused on eating and drinking they arent progressing at all. I did my first run on peaceful to learn how to play and now even hard mode seems easy. Unfortunately if i remember correctly they would have to start over or use a mod.
I wonder if they will play more raft soon ;) Looking forward for more of their crazy madness. Even started playing myself and was watching some of these vods
Generally vsync on is better for streaming. Any frames over 60fps isn't going to help the stream and vsync will allow the encoder to use the excess processing time.
Just curious. But perhaps Jimmy should try a solo play of Raft, or maybe just with one person. As much as I love a bit of chaos, this was too much chaos. 😂
It’s so funny how they have no idea how to play yes there is something you can put on that allows you to breath underwater for long, there is also an ENTIRE story mode to this game with MASSIVE islands if you guys play raft again this year please look into it the story mode parts of the game are so cool
Ouh i know what drink he would be- When i was a kid there was a store that had like.. how do ypu describe that.. it was like bottles that looked like small beer bottles but they were of some kinda soft plastic and on top they had a twisty bit. And if u twist it off it gets a hole u can drink from and the drink was just.. massively sweet vaguely flavoured water? It was like soda without bubbles.. but not juice.. I recon hed be the blueberry flavour of that. It seems fitting
Initially, you only have access to poor quality foods; the human digestive system gets more nutrition out of cooked foods because cooking them processes them a little, making less work for the stomach and intestines to break things down into their base components (our guts aren't designed for roughage). That's why eating raw potatoes and beets gives very little 'food' value. Cooking them is slightly better, cooked fish are better again, cooked large fish are great, shark steaks are great, and meals made from multiple foods are best. The reason the game gets easier from a survival standpoint as you go on is because it starts as pure survival, then you discover the story, then you get into building as you continue the story. If survival was less difficult at the start, the game would be too boring to finish, and if survival got harder arbitrarily later on it would interfere with the story and building too much to be any fun. It's actually pretty well paced, if you are aware that there's a story...
When I played I never knew there was a story. I ignored all important lore elements and barely got through early game. I wish I had finished it before getting the story spoiled for myself.
@@CurrentlyRose I know it's a constant argument between different gamers with different preferences, but I think this is the main reason that all games should have at least a tiny bit of nudging/handholding when it comes to story or "what to do". Maybe make it default, but possible to turn it off in the menu if you just want to chill? But yeah, if the game doesn't make it clear there's more than just survival, it is going to be missed by a decent percentage of people, and that's a shame.
@@shinyfirefly5034 especially when the story is genuinely really cool. Games like portal that are very lite intensive are very fun. I could not figure out how to progress past early game and eventually dropped the game altogether. I probably will pick it up again now that I know what I’m supposed to be doing. And I get your point. Some people like to figure stuff out entirely on their own , but if it had a little bit of hand holding/pushing in the lore direction, I think that would be better. I feel like it’s sad to have the majority of you game ignored when they put time into the story.
@@CurrentlyRose in this particular game I think a bit of nudging was really needed especially because 1. it's marketed as a survival game, so not everyone is going to automatically assume there's story elements, let alone a full story and 2. during the early access, there wasn't any story for ages and a lot of people didn't play it when each update came out, or keep up with the changes, so without that nudge, it was still easy to miss. I know I don't read every changelog for the games I play, even my regular ones!
Just started watching, and I wanted to let you know that Ark is worth it... but you need a dedicated SSD with at least 1TB storage space, it is MASSIVE!
ngl grian having a recipe book feels very on brand with grian keep in mind this man knits on his free time
And he has also done pottery at times
He’s a grandma
Grian is an old lady in disguise
Okay, but like, pottery is like so attractive😍

Oops!
Every time Joel goes on the rant and being angry at the game is just so hilarious 🤣
I love watching Jimmy pick up fresh water and dumping in the ocean.
I love the new bad boys podcast
We never did get the question about Uranus answered. 🤔
@@kaylahall1219I mean, would you actually fall in? I actually wanna know
@@Random_Always well uranus is a gas giant

Thats so on brand
Now I need to see a Skizz and Jimmy raft stream.
I’d be down to watch y’all argue about Mary Berry and cookbooks. 🤣
I think 60% of this stream was Joel complaining about hunger lol
[all at once]
Joel: Jimmy there’s a box. Pick up the box. It’s in the box. Jimmy. Jim. PICK UP THE BLOODY BOX!
Fwhip: there is no box. I don’t see a box.
Jimmy: I DONT SEE A BOX!
Grian: (whines) Guys, we’re still not moving! 😫
This had me rolling!
“You stream your foods your streams at dinner time”
-Joel 2023
The game really picks up once you have 3 antenna and radar
Yeah I lowkey wish they made that stuff, it what starts the storyline😭
Yesss finally another Raft episode!!! I’ve been waiting for so long!
Just the fact that they basically never check the catching nets for stuff. They need plank 1:09:10 , what do I see, bloody plants stuck in the catchers

i legit want a bad boys podcast. maybe not by that name but it would be funny.
The frustration of Joel in this game is soooo funny lol. Laughed a lot becoz of him
i have never seen someone move around so chaotically and accomplish nothing lol
Raft is maybe a bit unfair in regards to food, however, you guys didn't really use the catching nets. Bloody hell you could havew had so much wood and shit. PLUS, having more of them might be a great idea to gather a lot of resources.
