It’s been a slow process with Apple. But things are heating up! Apple Arcade now has Splintered Fate, 2K23, Dead Cells, Grand Mountain Adventure, Farming Simulator 20 just to name a few. Plus games on the App Store like Alien Isolation, New State, Minecraft, Dysmantle, Company of Heroes, Huntdown, and more! The iPhone is shaping up to be a contender. Plus most games have controller support. It ain’t the PSP but I’m here for it!
Remember the good old times when Gameloft made the amazing spider man 2, we want such quality games on apple tv, these games are okayish, developers aren't utilising the full potential of m15 chip.
Recently got a Mac mini m2 as it was on sale and I was pretty shocked at the prices of games! So expensive! I wish apple got more serious with gaming, don’t get me wrong iOS mobile has many games but the Mac store really doesn’t have so much. I know it’s not a gaming rig but apple could do so much good in this area. I thought the Mac would have way more games but it was the opposite. I would love to be optimistic about it, but if apple have not changed after all these years with gaming I don’t think it’s going to become more then it is. A great start would be to be able to play all purchased iOS games natively on MacOS!
@Thomasko yes but I have a base 8gb ram mac mini m2 and when I went to games most don't work because apple have dropped 32 bit support or either they are windows only games. I know you can work round the 32 bit app restriction with a app like parallel etc but I've read some stuff that's put me off a little. I'd much prefer apple doing it natively as when it's in their ecosystem they just work a lot better. But thanks for the advice.
@@alexythimia23 Ahh ok. I have also an m2 but with 16GB. It's nice that you keep making videos highlighting what's new in Apple gaming. However, I honestly have seen very little from Apple that would make me want to pay a month subscription to Apple Arcade.
Cityscapes bills itself as focusing on sustainability, yet all of the roads just look like ways to transport cars. I would really like a sim builder with ways to make central districts like those best seen in Dutch towns with intelligent filtering of motor traffic.

I think apple should release their one controller suitable for iphones - it will turn their phones inro switchlike game consoles with that bunch of games was already released on ios
Right, the fact that I can’t use my iPhone as a gaming controller for my Apple TV is hilarious. Considering I can use it already as the remote controller.
This is a joke! Apple need to invest that money in console quality games. They should buy Nintendo if they want to really compete on the gaming space in the next years. They have the hardware but lack the games!
Can you really expect AAA games for the price of the subscription though? Plus Arcade has never been marketed for AAA games. That being said, as I said at the end of the video it needs more high-quality games with more weight, along with the casual mobile games.

I suspect most players look at this list and only find one or two games that interest them, yet my one or two aren't going to be the same as the next person's. It looks like Apple is trying to have something for everyone, which makes it feel like all the games are crap except a few.
Thanks for covering man! The games are alright and I’m happy to see them, but that’s true, it’s really to for Apple to step up the game. All of these are very basic
It's sad to see so much potential for an awesome platform squandered on crap games. Maybe some of these titles are worth playing, but the rest are rubbish. It's still Apple's fault though. If the company wasn't so vacuum-sealed inside their own ecosystem, more third-party developers would be willing to contribute to their platforms. Anyway, I'm still glad you provide news of these releases, even though they are spectacularly disappointing.
I need NO MANS SKY, I need Dota 2 and CS 2 native and I'm fine, BUT. Somehow Apple have some wars with Valve and others, with some app store rules, etc. Probably, if Apple REALLY allow to install something not only from App Store, then probably we can have something really great. Games are the weakest point in macOS.
