Dutchwear has daisy chained webbing for $0,60 per foot (much less expensive). It’s links are created by weaving the threads of the webbing rather than sewing (even stronger) A good solution since Carl isn’t making the Versa strap anymore.
The daisy chain is way easier in the field. You can use 7/64" like I did or some guys are using 1/8" or even 3/16" if they aren't confident in the strength of the 7/64"
Mmmm, I probably would rather use the strap and buckle in a stand. You really like to get that stand camed over tight on a stand. You could try it at low elevation, but to use it at height is at your own risk. I'd feel safer with 1/4" Amsteel but I still would prefer the strap.
RLE30 not really. The width of the Versa strap makes it more comfortable on my shoulder and foot for carrying sticks and stepping on as an aider. Never thought of using Amsteel for an aider.
@Darko The versa strap was made by Carl Kossuth. He is with the Tethrd Nation team. He was making them on his own for a while but now you have to go through Tethrd (which is not a bad thing). they have versa straps that are made out of Amsteel material that are very light. They make a daisy chain gear strap I think that is made of the same webbing as the straps I used in the video and that I think would make a good aider. I haven't bought one of those from them, but it looks like it would work.
I am late to finding your channel but found this very helpful and informative. Thanks, great video and explanation.
Glad you found it helpful
I was on the fence between Daisy chain or rope mod, you sold me on Daisy chain.
Good luck. I've had only good results with mine.
EXCELLENT!!!!! Exactly why I went to the 7/64 amsteel. Pretty slick aider idea as well!
Thanks for watching. Good luck.
Nice video clear and to the point I just ordered the amsteel saw your video on the daisy chain great stuff thank you
Aidan Harvey thanks. Glad it helped you.
Thanks for the video Paul!
Thanks Garrett
Excellent info , thank you !

I really like the daisy chaining... I just put rope mods on my Beast Sticks.... darn....another good video.

I use the rope mod myself and I like it just fine. I do like the Daisy chain also. Thanks for the video Paul..👍
Great video Paul. Where can we get the strap?
Who's Carl and how did I get one of his straps?
do you think I could hang my lonewolf treestand with a 7/64" amsteel rather then the strap?
Jeff Persenaire I don’t think I would.
How do you daisy chain amsteel rope?TIA
There is a video on it but I can’t find it. I’ll put up a video after Christmas.

Is it safe to say that the same mod would work on lone wolf stand instead of the strap and buckle?

Do you have a link for the homemade sticks?
No, there is no video or anything on them. I'd have to make one. I'll try to soon.
That would be great Paul. Thanks.

Any reason you don't use amsteel daisy chain as the aider?

I was going to ask the same question but someone beat me to it. My only concern about this aider is dropping it. Other then that it's a slick setup
Srt Saddle Hunter many hunters carry an extra aider in a side pouch. "Just in case"
