At first I didn't like how they were ignoring all of the objectively bad things she's done, but thinking about it more I realized she's a thief of light. She can literally bend the narrative and information at will.
Edit: just so I'm clear I'm talking about the paralysis / attempted murder of Tavros, blinding of Terezi, and murder of Aradia, which is the only other part of her past life we saw.

Naw i think the reason that stuff is ignored is that, and this MAY be false, i'm not sure, but the author of this route is one of the authirs of homestuck two. Specifically the one that will get in a fight with you if you even SUGGEST that she isn't a perfect person.

@@CaribouGirlMeat damn I thought the author of this volume was just meming with "vriska did nothing wrong" and showing the more vulnerable parts of Vriska's character, not simply being a vriska fucker. such is being in the Homestuck fandom I guess. also arguing that a character is perfect shows that the character is one dimensional as they have no realistic flaws. whoever this author is needs to brush up on character study and creation, just my two cents.

I'm not sure if I even hate vriska, or if I just hate the way she is portrayed in the story.

throughout all of Friendsim I was like "I wish we could get back to characters that matter" but by the end of it I was sad to lose them, and then twenty minutes into dicking around on Vriska's pirate ship, I couldn't believe how happy I was to see Boldir again.
Homestuck's currently doing this thing where it focuses a lot on a story belonging to the readers, and I struggled to feel like Homestuck^2 was really walking that line very well, but god *damn* did it hit home and hit hard this time. I never expected a fucking *Friendsim* character to give me chills down my whole body with happiness to see them again.

There is literally no genetic difference between Vriska and Aranea.
Though considering how Zany Troll Biology is (from the few descriptions we do get) Being Male or Female is likely a sorta Froggy situation.
(Many Frogs swap sex completely in the event that there are no compatible breeding pairs in range.)
Theoretically, because all trolls are technically performing a "male" half of reproduction independent from each other to ensure the Mother Grub makes more trolls, it's not inconceiveable that they have sexual dimorphism more as a loose flowing vestige of a previous state of being, rather than as an actual present biological necessity.
