    ❤ This song came out in 1987, a solid 5 years before grunge was even a dream in the eyes of America. A classic punk song, and my favorite Descendants song of many.

    • @misterslats
      @misterslats 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      What's your point about it coming out 5 years before grunge? It came out a year or so before Vanilla Ice too. So what. Are you trying to say it was grunge before grunge? I hope not cuz it has absolutely ZERO resemblance to grunge.
      PS: Green River, the Melvins, and Soundgarden - all titans of grunge - had already released music by the time this record came out. Also...this album came out in 1985.

    • @mlwsf
      @mlwsf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Been a long time since they've have to settle for 8 and 16 track analogue tape machines. But they are much better engineers now. I miss part of it too and not just with these guys. So much of the other stuff is sounding either bad or homogeneous. Records don't have the character they once did. The room sounds, the bleed, the mistakes even. The funk. Ironic that this is what's going on in the midst of a vinyl revival.

    its so weird. this song gives me mad nostalgia from my childhood in the early 2000s yet, this is the first time ive heard it.

    It sounds like someone is patting Milo on the back while he's singing "I know a place, up in the air, it's not very far, I've been there before, Well I know a place..." He's got that Belinda Carlisle, Eddie Vedder vibrato thing going on in part of this song. Lol

    Even when i was in high school these guys were obscure. I was a 92 grad. These dudes are unique really 'cause they are smart but also not preachy like so much crap today.

    I always thought the singer sounded like a pop singer because of his actual melodic ability but it created something wonderful oooooooh
