Rhino Grasshopper -Hexagon Dragon Bridge - Easy Lunchbox tutorial

  • In this tutorial, we are going to look at how to build a bridge with a canopy structure. The bridge undulates and has hexagonal shingles like a dragon. I will use a Grasshopper plug in called ‘Lunch box’ today. I’ve shared a link below for the downloads, if you don’t have it installed on your Rhino Grasshopper yet.

    First, I will use a Nurbs curve to create a base for the bridge. Then generate a canopy surface through graph mappers. And I’ll tessellate the surface with hexagon cells component in Lunch box. Finally, I’ll complete the bridge with space frame structure, which is also one of the Lunch box components.

    Hello, for some reason my offset curve isnt working when i move the control points of the curve upwards, its telling me that its not planar. What can i do to fix this?
