- How much salary cap room do the Bucs in 2025 and how can the team free up even more? How much cap room can be freed up through contract extensions and restructures, as well as some cap cuts? Pewter Report's Josh Queipo breaks it all down in a NEW BUCS 2025 OFFSEASON video - the second in a four-part series.

Good stuff, Josh. I dread the day an NFL front office hires you away from PR. But I will begrudgingly be happy for you.
The clock is ticking until that happens😂
Josh is truly a valuable part of the team
Josh always bringing the deep analysis is a fantastic addition to the PR vids. Loved his draft analysis on the recent draft PR Podcast!
Thank you! You'll be seeing more of Josh's video content and podcast appearances this offseason.
Thank you, Josh. Looking forward to the next one.
Thank you!
When Dean is actually healthy and plays hard, he is quite a good coverage corner. The problem is he is 100% healthy like 10% of the time and when somewhat healthy he seems to play to not get injured.
The best ability in the NFL is availability.
@@PewterReportTVit’s time to get a healthy corner seems like lol , he’s gotten hurt the same way the last two years ! Hes not a good coverage corner which is why he play 15 yards back it’s time to get off his contract MOVE SMITH TO CORNER IR DRAFT ONE
What would it look like to keep Dean atleast for the year and draft a blue chip corner, the way we get injured I think we shouldn’t just toss away dean unless it comes with picks
Great work. Really insightful.
Cade Otton Extension is a steal at that price lol
Yes, and I think that's why the Bucs will pursue it this offseason prior to his contract year.
Sound good, a lot of pontentionla Bucks to buy more Buc's! Jason and Bowles are going to be a busy little beaver! Get us a badass EDGE and CB and hell a LB. Go Josh, GO Buc's.
Thank you!
Terrific video, Josh! Awesome analysis.
Any chance the Bucs do a true extension for Baker this offseason, as opposed to a possible restructure? I thought of that when you described the likely Evans extension.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Not sure. We'll probe the front office and find out. Maybe next year instead of this year.
keep running the numbers
Great video! You need a spot with Greenie in the front office. 🏴☠️
Don't tempt Josh with a good time!
@ sounds like that’s where he should be! ❤️
If you restructure Mayfield, Evans, Winfield and Vea. Trade or cut Jamel Dean. Extend and sign Goedeke and Godwin assigning a small cap hit on their first year, you can create up to 88 million in total cap space.
That would be enough to cover all positional needs and have be a Super Bowl contender this year
Indeed, David! Let's see what happens.
Great stuff here. I’m still on the fence with Otton. Wouldn’t it be wise to draft another TE. That being said that Otton deal is a steal
Thank you! Bucs have drafted 4 TEs in the last three years. They might be done.
They won’t cut Dean. He’s like a son to Bowles
Bro don’t say that! I’m so tired of seeing him get smoked. 😤
@ hopefully we draft Trey Amos or Benjamin Morrison in the first round so when Dean inevitably get injured, Zyon will have some help
Good show
Thank you!
I actually look into cap like dead, Team Total, affect of it
Completely agree with all of this I think we extend Evans, restructure Wirfs, post June 1st cut Dean, & release Whitehead…….
It’d be great if we could post June 1st trade Dean it’d free up 12.8M in cap & we could probably get a 5th or 6th round pick
Post 6/1’ing Dean doesn’t make a ton of sense. They have to carry his full cap hit until that date, well after FA is effectively over and then they have to carry dead cap into 2026. They can afford the straight cut and be over w/it.
Wouldn’t it be cheaper than to just keep dean and whitehead then?
Are you doing this with next year salary cap?
This was for 2025. We'll do another one next year for 2026.
Isn’t the cap going another 25 million for 2025?
@@PinellasCane23 I am accounting for an increase in 2025. I have it projected for $275M. Take a look at the first video in the series. I discuss it there.
@@PinellasCane23 I accounted for the projected increase. Check out video 1 in the series. I have it projected for $275 million and I'm working off of that #.
Get me a real #1 Corner, Dean aint it.
Great minds think alike!
So you saying we got some cap!
Indeed!
Dean isn’t going anywhere as long as Todd’s coach
I made the same comment. They’re both on record saying Dean is like a son to Bowles. And it seems like the organization is really good with cooperation which means that Jason Licht will take Todd’s desires to heart. I still think we need to draft CB in the first round. Trey Amos or Benjamin Morrison might still be around by the time we draft
@@Gotti89 Not necessarily.
Not really - Todd Bowles really missed having him on the field in the second half of that playoff loss.
People are funny, NFL Football is a cut throat business. It wouldn't matter if Bowels and Dean were actually father and Son, Licht would run Dean out of town if it meant winning more football games or possibly a deeper SB run.
Keep that offensive line
Look for Luke Goedeke to get a contract extension this offseason.
You reading those jackass Jags talking about what "stars" liam could take from us? Godwin lol ya he loves Coen so much he is leaving the Buc's. Thats some funny shit. Come Licth swing for the fences!
No one from Tampa Bay is going to Jacksonville.
Get an actual microphone, please.
Dean will not be back
You're probably right.
