      Miho is everything you want in a metal bassist. Great tone, great stage presence, always perfectly on time, technical when the song calls for it but doesn't over-play...everything.

    Awakening From Abyss was their first full length album, this show is them performing the whole album + extras live in the studio as an anniversary celebration of the release date of that album. One of the best metal covers ever, from one of the best metal bands ever. All Glory to LOVEBITES and my brothers and sisters in The Wolf Pack everywhere.

    Lovebites definitely have Metallica, Slayer, Maiden, and even Overkill influences in their songs. But, to me, they seem to get the most influence from Helloween, and that's a good thing.

    Lovebites are my 2nd favorite band from the land of the Rising Sun. And while the "gap" between my number one and two is large they are most worthy. They are great musicians only limited by their steadfast adherence to one genre of music for the most part. And yes, l've heard the Etude. My ladies and Lovebites would be a dynamite double bill show anywhere on the planet.

      Band-Maid
      Lovebites
      Asterism
      That's the holy trinity for me.
      In total 13 members with 11 ladies.
      At last the women take their share
      of the hard rock/metal music scene.
      ...and hell they can play!
      Let loose the tiger and the tiger will bite.

    • @satomiwa
      @satomiwa 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Well, "one genre" is a bit of an oversimplification since "metal" has an endless amount of subgenres. Thrash and Power metal are two entirely different things, and Lovebites excel at both and at combining them seamlessly while also incorporating Japanese melodies into the mix. Or they go full on classical, almost symphonic metal, or they switch it up and play straight up hard rock, channeling Motorhead in Raise Some Hell much like Band-Maid channeled Motorhead in No God. Not to mention the more ballady type songs like Empty Daydream. They're actually incredibly versatile and diverse, but you're right in a sense, because there's no danger of Lovebites ever abandoning metal and trying to become a chart topping pop group or anything like that. They are Lovebites and they play heavy metal.

    • @sacluvsBM
      @sacluvsBM 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@satomiwa Yes it is an over simplified analysis of Lovebites because there is not enough room here to be very detailed. I don't think l mislead anyone who does not know who Lovebites happens to be. And yes their range in their released material is more genre specific than Band-Maid. That is not necessarily a bad thing. Is it? Thanks and have a nice day.

      I can not remember if it was a previous comment made by you where I mentioned I prefer this version if they did not have the strings. The synth is fine. If it was you, your reply was the strings make it more of a Lovebites song.

      @@Glynthepin I'm an old fart, saw Purple, Sabbath, Queen, and tons of others back in the old days, and by the 90's I thought music had just crawled into a hole and died. I only recently discovered this Japanese metal scene, and it feels like I've got 30 years of living to make up. I don't know where you are but I'm working with some other folks to try to enable some of these bands to do a tour in the U.S. once things open up.

    A great cover by Lovebites but you all need to see and hear the original. I have often thought of mentioning this about your reactions, please adjust your microphone for your voices. Sometimes you miss things you are discussing which is a shame. I know with three of you getting an overall balance is not that easy but I have to turn the volume up to hear your speech and then turn it down again for the volume of the video you are reacting to. Thanks.

    One of the few songs where Miho/bass and Haruna/drums actually get some SHINE TIME!!!! Great cover for this song and this anniversary show was great even though it was in studio with no crowd to interact with. This band is now trying to talk the label suits into letting them perform with an orchestra, one can only imagine what the ladies will do with that backup!!! Great reaction and listen to the original and see why everyone calls this cover amazing. This show is where Miyako played the keyboard and the fret board of the guitar at the same time to support Midori's wicked solo, (th-cam.com/video/4OBf_Gn8efs/w-d-xo.html).

    Haruna came to like metal when she met Helloween. Apparently, she had been requesting Asami to sing this favorite song from time to time since shortly after LOVEBITES were formed. Then, at last year's online studio live, the members decided to play a cover of this song as a gift to Haruna. Btw, they met the Halloween members in 2018. Haruna is a big fan of Halloween, so when she released the cover of this song, she uploaded this event on Twitter :) twitter.com/harupidrums/status/1351104793008361476?s=20
