    I remember going on this ride around 1976 or 77. I was about 7 years old and literally thought that we had flown to Mars and came back.

    In case I have seen it online, Mission to Mars at the Original Disneyland California was from Friday, March 21, 1975 to Monday, November 2, 1992.

    Back when Tomorrowland was Tomorrowland and had futuristic space themes. Now all it is is Star Wars, a restaurant and more Star Wars.

      Salicious Bum When Star Wars Land is introduced at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA in 2019, the Tomorrowland will be bulldozed except Space Mountain, Autopia, the Tomorrowland version of Matterhorn, Submarine Voyage, Monorail & Astro Orbitor to stay alive and well, the Tomorrowland will be newly refurbished & it could return to non-Star Wars futuristic space themes.
      Also, Tomorrowland could eliminate all the old PeopleMover & Rocket Rod tracks as well as the old and unused observatron before tearing down & rebuilding.

      Leeann Jacket Leeann, I am sorry. Tomorrowland at Disneyland will still refurbish around 2025-2026 and we will still remove all the old / unused PeopleMover & Rocket Rod tracks as well as the old and unused observatron before paving the way for the New PeopleMover with windows plus without motorized tracks, okay?

    I was sad when they removed this. Disneyland needs to bring back educational attractions like this.

      Yeah, I noticed that too. Idk why, since this is Mission to Mars and not Star Tours, but whatever.

    BRING THIS BACK and get rid of that nasty no good food resturant. Everytime my friends have ate at the resturant they always end up throwing it back up and having really bad cramps. (i forget the name of the resturant it has something to do with toystory)

      The foods people order at Pizza Port, part of Disneyland is very, very, very good for America . . . . we know it!

    Original plans were to turn this attraction into Alien Encounter, but there were budget problems and WDW Magic Kingdom got it instead.

    I can vaguely remember this attraction when I was a child, however they should bring it back along with the people mover and the skyway.

    • @MrRemark21
      @MrRemark21 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      xfearslovex Mission to Mars is or was a fun ride, but it would be old-fashioned and no longer wanted.
      The Old PeopleMover was from July 2, 1967 to August 21, 1995 at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. It was replaced to an ill-fated Rocket Rods from May 22, 1998-September 25, 2000 before it becomes blank.
      In Tomorrowland and in the same above ground platform as opposed to the old PeopleMover and then Rocket Rods, starting around 2021-2023, when we decide to bring back the New PeopleMover with safety rails plus electromagnets and if that amusement park is not allowed to do that, still it could be Heathrow Pod Tour, it could be iMover, it could be Boxcar Tour or it could be a ride with normal speed that is more comfortable than ever before.

    Kinda but not as jarring. They used real film from NASA. The seat cusions moved a little and the room was loud and it did shake but that was the best they could do in the 60's and 70's.
