that is such a good speech. Baldwin has a keen grasp of dialectics, which runs throughout the entire talk.

Very interesting Baldwin speech. Here he's speaking as a leader, thank God he had the civil decency to live afar in France. He would have been a firebrand too potent and powerful for the people, and a powder keg situation would have occurred. It's interesting, this speech is almost James Baldwin the politician,(can you imagine), normally be spoke as an artist, or poet. He says he's a poet here, but he's not, he's playing the politician here, and he does it beautifully, but thank God he never let himself become one, he clearly was keen to keep himself away from positions of pride and power...But this sounds like James Baldwin the diplomat...Truly incredible and truly striking, his talents as a preacher and orator show here, as he can masterfully control and inspire the crowd, and if like to think he subtly keeps them in check.but this speech is very much James Baldwin unhinged,(what a thought right lol) Baldwin sounds young here, proud, powerful, potent, and almost possessed by the crowd. Truly a remarkable upload as it expands the parameters of the James Baldwin paradigm. An outstanding find, as the clarity of rhetoric, and clarity of audio exhilarated an enthusiasm and spirit to the listener. This upload is quite a stunning surprising, gift for us all. Knocks it out of the park, he's almost scary here, which is unusual, although it shows me why he had to live abroad, cause his passion was too potent...anyone agree?

Baldwin speaking the truth, particularly in the manner in which he was speaking, did not make him a "politician." There are "politicians" who "try" to speak in this manner, although most PEOPLE, let alone politician, can come CLOSE to the intellectual and oratorical skills of James Baldwin, they turn around and do just the OPPOSITE of what they had just stated only moments ago.

Probably the most important American mind of the 20th century.
However he got the Muslim movement wrong. It was not the church that called 2 million black men to the US capitol. I scarcely doubt the church would have been able to have called 5000. One can't love the fruit and hate the tree Jimmy my boy. I am no Muslim btw.
