Yes it does suck! But if you look close, the bumper on the left side is out of position, angled up and angled too far forward as well. The result was sitting to close and it rubbed...
I have a 2022 xmr 570 and these quads are greatly in need of a good tune. The throttle response is trash, the rev limiter sucks and overall the quad feels bogged down. Can't wait for dyno jet to release their solution for the 2022.
Very true! But when you can still drive it home is not usually too bad. The funny thing about the colour, is that the Outlander is a bit warmer and brighter.
Its designed to break under enough load to protect damaging front differential...and let me tell you it deserved to break long before it did. She was working hard in the deep snow and ice.
@@ADVENTURESThisWay yes it is. And it may be better to just keep it stock for that very reason. Myself, I prefer to weed out weak links until it becomes more resistant to failure. However that can become very costly so we all have to weigh our options within our own budget or what we are willing to pay into one single machine. And if you can get that fixed under the warranty then stock it is right lol. I doubt the warranty will cover that but I guess that depends on how the dealer looks at their customers care? I don't know I never needed the warranty for outty. Now I feel like I'm just rambling on lol
@@jammils38 no the drive shaft would not be covered under warranty in this case. But the brand new machine that I towed out, purchased from same Dealership, is under Warranty. So they had my back
Finding your channel makes me want to pull the trigger and buy the Kodiak i've been wanting!! The question is, do I buy one for this summer or wait for the 2023's to be announced in September?
Can't go wrong with the 700! Typically, Yamaha doesn't change much from year to year. Also availability of units in stock varies. Find one you want and get it, or may have to wait awhile.
@@ADVENTURESThisWay Was it giving any code on the cluster? Just curious, waiting for my 2022 outlander XMR 1000 (well it's at the dealer missing parts like so many others)

Well...she doesn't want to change anything on it. But when she gets tired getting hung up all the time, I would get some 30 Aztexs or put my 32 on it once they are worn down and I get some new ones...
Ok first off, the 850 Outty and 1000 Renegade weight basically the same. Now towing capacity is based under normal traction conditions and fairly level ground, I would assume. This was 2 KMs in extreme terrain and deep snow and I gave it all she had to make it up the hill and then it snapped. Also don't forget the weight of the rider and gear, etc. Have you much disabled ATV towing experience?? I'm always looking for tips/tricks.
@@ADVENTURESThisWay we are always towing quads home. Usually my buddies old 350 Honda is doing the towing 🤣😂 Not much tips to be had. We always take it slow and have twisted tea breaks. Lol

Got a love that Can-Am warranty lol
You bet, everything has limits, especially my wallet. So far the extended warrant has been worth it. Having a good dealer to work with is also key.
@@ADVENTURESThisWayI also purchased an extended warranty, are they kinda a pain to fulfill?
@davidmassey7273 no it's very simple. Just pay a small deductible, easy peasy
It sucks that it already happened(chunk of powder coating gone) get that door edge stuff from Canadian tire to put across the bottom of rad.

Winter rides are fun ….but not when you break something 😳. I like the new sand colour but I think everyone is going to have one.

@@ADVENTURESThisWay if you can drive it home then it’s a really good day . Oh really ….kinda weird would of thought it was the same.
Tough break with the drive shaft!
Great rip though right on!
Turns out its an easy job to replace, and with the help from a great dealer both bikes were ready to ride again in no time.
Make a video on how to change the front drive shaft don if you plan on doing it yourself
I replaced it already, rode yesterday. I might have had the camera out when I was working on it...

I think it's a good time for the SPATV front drive shaft upgrade. I don't think it will break so easily. Great vid!

He makes them, a variety of colours are available. Did you notice the green on the Outlander?
I can connect you if interested.
Can he send them to Finland too?😅

Maybe the new machines(based solely on demand) are being PDI’d to quickly?
But there is good and bad in everything…even Can-Am!

4 wheel drive in the snow... do you use high or low gear?
Great question!
For deep snow Low, if on a slippery snow covered trail, High range. Back roads with snowy base, 2 wheel High
