I want this power train in the Civic. Their hybrid Civic is one of the best cars ever made imo and the only thing I've ever wanted from it is 40-50 miles of battery range to charge it on cheap overnight tariffs
Civic is one of the best cars in it's class for MPG as it is. 10k more for a bigger battery and all the weight implications wouldn't produce the overall savings you imagine. It would have to be a smaller battery too.
We have just bought the standard hybrid and love it. 40k with dealer discount is a lot of car for the money these days. Also came with 5 years servicing and warranty.
Clarity from 2018-2021 and accord hybrid plugin 2013-2017 were Honda’s first plugins, but here in the states we are not getting the CRV plugin next year we get the FCEV CRV
I'm glad Honda have decided to target comfort, I just hope they're rewarded for their effort so other manufacturers might consider making comfortable cars more
Great car and it's a shame they didn't price it a bit lower and perhaps the discounts available on this and the ZR-V, which has an even greater level of discount, are Honda's realisation they priced them too high without actually admitting it by reducing the list price!
call me old fashion, but i miss a good manual transmission and the vtec sound over 6k rpm. I know that this is the future, but.. there's gotta be some kind of middle ground.
This already is a middle ground, between an ICE vehicle and an EV. You're asking for a quarter ground, though I have to say I wouldn't be opposed to manual and VTEC
@@BuckleUpShow It's not really the same experience, that turbo 4 is really fast, but that feeling of revving out to 10k rpm is long gone, as is that nimble ultra light weight deathtrap feeling.. It's a great car, just not the same as it used to be, it's hard to explain. Anyway, keep up the great work, love this channel..
Really nice car, but 9.4 seconds acceleration till 100 km is too much nowadays. Honda, I am sure that you can have 8 seconds and that it will be close to perfect, comfortable daily drive car.
@@BuckleUpShow Kia Sportage, Toyota rav 4, VW Tiguan...these ones are also family suv, however have different acceleration speed (basically none of the listed has slower acceleration than Honda).
Ordered one in Crystal Red. Got a great deal.
Hev or phev?
Phev Advance tech £8000 discount . Car has arrived at dealer just been sent a video of it still covered in plastic

There's always a chance they'll introduce it at theid life facelift

That's a really good deal
This is one of the most comfortable cars I’ve been in, in a long time
It's like driving on a cloud
That's 'comforting" since Honda's seats have traditionally been among of the most uncomfortable.
Which Honda's have you been in?
@@BuckleUpShowprobably none...
As someone who owns an CRV Hybrid in the USA... I NEED THIS VERSION OF MY CAR. PLEASE HONDA BRING THIS CAR TO THE US.

Neither of those cars were sold in the UK. This is their first plug-in hybrid model here.
Well, it's almost look like the RS trim one in Thailand (e:HEV AWD) if I didn't notice the side mirror!
Interesting
Does it have a heat pump?
It has an engine
No
Test drove it today. Briliant ride quality really, way better than RAV4

Is this car available in the US?
Yes
No this PHEV is not available in the US only the HEV is..
So the car is available, which was the question asked, but the powertrain isn't
It will be good to get suburban folks used to EV driving, and how convenient it can be. Do you know if they plan to bring the PHEV into their HRV?
Honda hasn't announced any plans for that at this point

Very possibly

You can use Android Auto without cable. You only have to know how and your phone has got to be compatible.
It never prompted my Google Pixel 7 Pro, which I assume would be. VW and Mercedes Benz's systems just works, no need for "knowing how to use it"

No but neither was the original petrol manual CR-V, honda still make the Type R Civic if you want those thrills
