Anytime I ask the price of something and it's outlandishly too high I always then ask, "How much is it without Bufferin?" Pretty much nobody in the world ever knows what I'm talking about, but I still think it's funny and laugh at my own joke.
My favorite all time comedy movie !!!! I know ALL of the lines by heart. I use the lines in daily life sometimes, and crack myself up....occasionally, someone gets it who also loves this movie !
And he doesn’t know yet how much he needs her to not only make his dull life more interesting but also to use her charms to get him what he needs. There’s no way he would’ve gotten the Larrabee grant without her.
I had one of those stuffed toy soldiers at 1:31-1:38 (seen in the background) when I was a kid. I won it at a fair. I called him Tommy. I kept the toy for many years until styrofoam bits started to fall out of a tear in Tommy.
When I first saw this movie, I thought Barbra was in her teens because she looked so young! I was surprised to learn she was 30, lol. Her skin is beautiful. So is she :)
Wow. That’s an expensive radio back then. 1 dollar back in the early 70s today is now $6.5. Was a radio like that really was 67 bucks? But I do remember we had a console TV stereo system back in the 70 with a tv and radio and turntable and I think it cost around 700.
They just don’t make hilarious films like this anymore. Pure situation slapstick comedy at its best. God, I just hope they never attempt a remake. If they did, it would be full of swearing & Cursing.
Blythe Danner also worked with Streisand more than once (The Prince of Tides, Meet the Fockers & Little Fockers), as well as Robert De Niro, Dustin Hoffman, Ben Stiller, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson (Meet the Fockers & Little Fockers).
@@kennethwayne6857 It's cool, hehe. By the way, I just remembered that Austin Pendleton also worked twice with Barbra (What's up, doc? & The Mirror Has Two Faces) 😅
True. Not only have electronics gotten smaller and faster in the past fifty years, but also much cheaper. Moore's Law is truly one of the biggest blessings of our generation.
Funny and yes my uniqueness and My Aunt's bar the two did sit next to each other and now guess what Sean and your welcome and you earned the Baseball ⚾ ER my rules are wake up as much and three felony charges from Arizona and really now please let me doy job and stay out of it and Leave Sean alone ,do you understand and Judge and Jury proof of thank you.😊

I LOVE that! I'm going to have to do it myself!
Oooops. I just realized...you wrote "how much is it without Bufferin?" I believe he says "buffering". Bufferin was a buffered brand of aspirin. 😊
Well , then, how much is Bufferin without buffering ? 😁
@@BrettTwinSavage That's why he says, "Bufferin," because there used to be aspirin brands that advertised "with Bufferin." Namely, 'Bufferin®.'
@@pjw4370 Free! It's been recalled by the manufacturer!
I can literally watch this movie anytime! Absolutely perfect comedy even after more than 50 years!
This is my favorite Barbara film seen soo many times and still laughing hard like never saw it before a classic film.
me too ,& 😍love O'NEALS & 🥰🥰 STREISANDS CHEMISTRY ❣️❣️ the whole film was cast perfectly ❣️
My favorite all time comedy movie !!!! I know ALL of the lines by heart. I use the lines in daily life sometimes, and crack myself up....occasionally, someone gets it who also loves this movie !
Barbra has such beautiful eyes.
Some of the best writing, in the best farce ever written.
"I don't want people falling down in here."
"Well, we're on our honeymoon."
“How much is it without Bufferin?”
The best line out of numerous great lines in this scene. RIP Ryan O’Neal.
Bufferin actually
Love you Barbra...Miss Madeline.
“That’s a person named Eunice?” 🤣🤣🤣
Love her delivery of that line!
This is one of my favourite comedies. Its a classic and highly underrated.
I remember when cash registers were that gigantic....
"How much is it without Bufferin?" Lol!
"What is that?"
"A radio."
"I don't want a radio!"
"What about your wife?"
"I don't want a wife!"
‘How much is it without bufferin?’
The funniest line in any movie ever.
This scene echoed the scene in Bringing Up Baby with Katherine Hepburn who "follows" Cary Grant, and rips his dinner jacket, both good films.
Bringing up baby was the inspiration for this movie at least that is what I was told.
@@waynejohanson1083 i heard that too. Also Carole Lombard movies.
yeah i heard that too, i love bring up baby another amazing comedy :D wish they wrote comedies like this today :D
"I'll be with you in a minute, Mr. Peabody."
At both of their prime. And Both gorgeous
" Could you let go of my hand ?" " I don't think so ." 🥰
Madeline Kahn didn't even have to say anything... just her presence alone was funny.
completely hilarious fun movie
Howard has just met his muse, and hes in for the ride of his life!
And he doesn’t know yet how much he needs her to not only make his dull life more interesting but also to use her charms to get him what he needs. There’s no way he would’ve gotten the Larrabee grant without her.
"Ah come on Steve, buy her the radio, it's on sale"
I’m crying tears of laughter! I forgot about the jacket!
“Unis?! There’s a person named Unis?!”
I think her name is spelled 'Eunice'....
Absolute comedy gold....
May he rest in peace. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
"I don't want people falling down in here."
Such an underrated line but absolutely one of the funniest in the movie🤣🤣
"Could you please let go of my hand?" 'I don't think so.'
Who can blame her? Young Ryan was a looker.
Brilliant movie. Babs looked pretty good back then.
I adored this movie when I was 9 years old.
"He suffers from a nervous condition. He falls down a lot"
Probably my favorite line from the movie 😂
Everyone should carry a tuning fork in their pocket for situations like this.
A tuning fork with buffering.
Today that same radio would cost $29.95.
with inflation its over $400

pretty crazy movie..!!i love 1970 !!
Movie came out in 1972

Electronics were expensive back then. you have to really save up for a T.V. or put it on credit with monthly payments.
Plus buying it at a drug store in a hotel is going to be higher.
That Radio would have been about $30.00 - $40.00 at best - oh - it would be IN A BOX as well. @@songbirdy

"68,29" "i beg you pardon?" hahaha
How much is it without buffren.
doug avila that is the funniest line in the entire movie, delivered 👌🏻perfectly.
Also, interestingly, it’s the only line that Buck Henry kept from the first screenplay draft when he rewrote it. Great line.
This was filmed at the San Francisco Hilton Hotel, near Union Square.
Bufferin!! I don’t think it exists anymore
Don't you know the meaning of propriety? :D
Madeline Kahn was also in PAPER MOON.
Love the line when he says how much is it without codeine.
I mean without bufferin.
👍👍👍I Love this movie!!
That radio must have been the BOSE of the early 70s. Very expensive for an ugly thing. Lol.
All electronics were expensive then. With inflation that radio is over $400
a one woman wrecking crew
Count how many support role actors also were in Sanford & Son.
Eunice, there’s a name named Eunice?! Hahahahahhah
Every man's nightmare, a psychopath.
With inflation, that radio would cost $400.00 in 2021 ...
"Inherit tonal qualities of rocks".... aka Rock N Roll music.... 😆
Inherent ! (Characteristic)
Barbara Streisand was too adorable in this picture. Every nice Jewish boy's dream for sure.
A total babe for me! ❤
This scene seems to channel Grant and K. Hepburn in "Bringing Up Baby" (1938). It was called "screwball comedy" at the time.
Based on it.
😂😂😍😂😍😂😍🐇🥕it's thebest LUV it 💞🤗😄😆
Did anybody ever catch a young Sylvester Stallone in a background scene walking by Barbra Streisand I looked I didn’t see him
Is this the whole, full movie? Thanks.
84 cents ..... 😂😂😂😂🤔😯🙃😄
I'm pretty sure that O'Neal and Omar Sharif were the only actors who ever worked with Barbra more than once.
Nope. George Segal worked with Barbra in " The Owl & The Pussycat " and " The Mirror Has Two Faces ".

Romanian, yes!

Ten percent goes into the San Francisco Hotel Tax Fund.
