if u get R at first skill u can kill so easy with the slow and then max the Q. R have a lot of dmg in 3 first lvls and only need 1 lvl

Udyr R being the conventionally best strategy doesnt mean it's the only strategy. His Q here was more for a auto attack kind of build as opposed to a mage one like the R builds usually go.
It definitely hurt not seeing him not get E, though

That amumu Q hitbox you mentioned, could be because of udyrs hitbox is bigger than it looks
