I think it would have been fun to have left off at the separation of the group near the end. Then picked up at the three, four, and five years later at the end. And it leaves it all unanswered. I think I would have really liked that!
Hope you feel better! I wholeheartedly agree with you, the second half of the book was such a letdown for me even though I loved the first half. And yes, Claire turned into a horrible person, I hated her with a passion :D
I hope you feel better! I got a book you may like! It is non fiction which usually I’m not all about but this one…. It is called Chase Darkness With me by Billy Jensen. It’s about How a true crime writer started solving murders… it has me hooked by just the first page hahha
I recently read The Children of Red Peak" by Craig Dilouie, and I really disliked it. I had a similar experience, where I enjoyed the first half, but it really fell off on the second half and went in a direction that I didn't think made sense.
Dear Violet, I recommend you to read "Suffer the Children" by Craig Dilouie, a graet book! (better than "Episode Thirteen".....but I like this book too). I said this before, I think you need to read "The Winter People" by Jennifer McMahon, Amazing Book and I'm very curious to see your review on this book. Maybe sometime later.... 😉
This book was a big let down for me. I watch many many found footage movies and compared to some that I've seen this was not very exciting. Sometimes--most of the time I would say--less is more, and this book seemed to try to do too much. Two or three really disturbing scenes if better than a dozen mediocre ones.
I was this close to unsubscribe last Thursday. Nah. Just kidding. Good review. I am curious about the book but something is holding me back. Loved House of Leaves though.
Everything you said is exactly how I felt about this book!

I have been wondering for a while what bugged me about the book- u nailed it! Thanks

I started it and wasn't connecting so stopped reading & may or may not pick up again
Love your videos so much! Do you read books or magazines on the toilet? It's the best place to read in my opinion
