Mark Dascascos is a real legend, I have watched all the interviews and he is really a great guy. I have the triple collection of Mark Dascascos 88 Films UK Blu-ray of Drive 20th century Fox US DVD Only The Strong and the Spanish Limited Edition of Crying Freeman. I can't wait to see the interviews on that, because I understand Mark did a really passionate candid interview about how was disappointed that US audiences never got to see Crying Freeman theaterically. Great guy ☺️👍
I met Mark Dacascos once while he was in south africa for kick boxer. I dnt knw who he was at the time. He was doing some warmup stuff in the parking lot. Some time later i saw Drive. Told my dad he was in our town
Wow ! An interview with the Freeman himself ?! So awesome. I'm a huge fan of Mark Dacascos and his work. His butterfly kick was blowing me away as a kid.
As a kid, the first movie with Mark i watched was; Drive, and as a kid I thought it was like the kungfu terminator 😂💯 Love it, him and this channel! ❤️💥👊🏼💯
Wish you had asked him how his relationship with Paco (Silverio) was.I wonder if they got along with each other and still have some sort of contact.Thank you so much for these intereviews.Golden interviews with people that made my childhood very special.
Only the strong film change my Life, this movie was big influence on my way to capoeira and breakdance, when i watch the movie for the first time was around 1997 i believe i was 17 years of age now I'm 42 and i still love the film, thanks so much.
Still wish that show had gotten a second season as it really got better as it went along. And I found the woman of my dreams, who sadly still doesn't know I exist- Christina Cox.
Only the strong is still one of my favorite movies ever! Mark thank you so much for all the movies and everything else you have done. Please make a only the strong part 2
Hey bro I would love you can cover about American Ninja movies. Starring Michael Dudikoff. Those were my favourite movies growing up. Would be could if you can get to interview Michael Dudikoff. I love your channel, i look forward to see who is next.
My favorite roles of his are still Mani from Brotherhood of The Wolf, Toby from Drive, and Eric from The Crow: Stairway To Heaven. Wish he'd of touched more on these. Great interview again VS. Love your work and getting me more insight to so many of my childhood heroes and films.
He gonna be in season 3 warrior omg I can't wait I love that show and not for nothing Viking Samurai looks kinda like Andrew Koji just buffer version lol. I think he Eurasian as well I may be wrong but that's a great show Mark Dacascos will be a wonderful addition to the show
Dacascos is probably the most under-rated martial artists of his era. I actually liked the Crow series Stairway to Heaven. It went more into the mythology of Draven as a character, the Weinstein brothers were interested in a series of movies based on the character but after the tragic death of Brandon Lee they couldn't have anyone "fill his shoes" apparently so opted for different actor & character for each worsening sequel, I felt Dacascos could have pulled off the role as evidenced in the short lived series
Dacascos had more moves than Brandon; arguably a better physique too. Brandon was taller and arguably more handsome (not a value judgment). I don't claim any expertise but for a role in a movie or tv-series like the Crow I think it's more about your look than your moves and of course in Brandon's case he had clout from his father.
That's crazy that Mark the Costas started doing capoeira after the fact he just explodes off the screen when this came out back when we were teenagers we just automatically assumed he was a professional such a beautiful art and this film really captures it
Mark Dacascos is such a cool guy. Been a fan since I was a kid in the 90s. (First time I remember seeing him was in Double Dragon. Always sought him out after that.) Really genuine dude. There is a great documentary about him from years back which was really good. Loved seeing him in John Wick, Mark should have always been a AAA action star. Hopefully we will see more if hin in the future.
This is AWESOME! Im sure youve seen it, but another good Mark Dacascos' movie, which might take the nr 1 place for me (just because it was the first one I saw, and Ive seen it about 30 times 😅) Drive (1997) has funny moments here and there, awesome fight scenes, my alltime favorite and most memorable kick is in that movie (the motorcycle kick 😅). So if you havent seen Drive, definitely check it out, if you can! But yeah, its nice to see Mark still in good shape and active, happy and such a humble guy! And the interview was exciting, so well done on your part as well, VS!
thank you huge for posting the full interview 💥 i hope you do the same thing with all of your past and future interviews 💯 would love to see those past interviews with Steven Lambert in full 😎
What a great guy Mark is the drive is very good martial arts movie crying freeman, only the strong They wasted he's talent for cradle to the grave the fight against jet li was very short Mark was good in John wick 3 I'd love to see sequels to the drive crying freeman ect Maybe we will get to see Mark vs Scott adkins.
A very pleasant interview. I love Marek and his films, especially: Only the Strong", "Le pacte des loups" (Brotherhood of the Wolves) , "Drive", "Kickboxer 5" and "The Crow: Stairway to Heaven" series. He was phenomenal in John Wick, a great performance. I would like to meet Marek in person someday.
What's up mark Shreveport Louisiana love's your movies good to see you okay..PS. I've been waiting on a new guyver movie i think your good for the roll.?
Nice video. The movie is great for one reason because of the helpful way Mark was inspiring youth. He was a positive inspirational person to them. Spectacular fight scenes. Love Marco🎉🎉hope to see a sequel.Second favorite, Brotherhood of the Wolf. Many great films.❤
Crying Freeman is definitely a masterpiece. The Brotherhood Of The Wolf is really good too. Both flicks have been directed by the brillant Christophe Gans, a French director who also made the Silent Hill movies. And yes, Drive is dope.
Mark is one of very Few real Masters i have a very High Respect cause he is very Realistic talking about Martial Arts also is Scott Adkins that for an Movie they must train Muscles cause in Real like Mark says Poer in Body and fast Speed is important and Flexibility and not Masses in Muscles that slower you - i am 1,86 cm 65 KG full trained and im my Youth it was 75 KG with very much trained in Power many Days in Week 90 Minutes per Day and Today at Day until 50 Minutes Yoga and almost every day Training until 30 Minutes for my Live defense
Mark was a truly talented martial artist. ANd while there were some good Capoeira fight choreography (odd when kicked to the head no one took damage, went to the hospital or died).. only one or two police officers show up but not when the fighting is going on....Silvario's gang have no guns and comit only vandalism and assult --again no plice showup...not even when a teen dies in the fire they started...don't go to court...and if "Lousi Stevens (Mark)" was so easily defeated once in the beginning by Silvario whhat suddenly gave LS the ablity to beat Silvario at the end? Wasn't like he received extra special training to prepare...and the finish the movie with a celebration in the school that almost burnt down...no mention of the teen that died in the fire...forgotten already. :) Did they create the script on the fly?? No "once over"??
Chuck never ages, age Chucks. Chuck Norris didn’t age until his wife got sick. He was 33 when Bruce Lee died. About 34 when he did his first movie after Bruce’s death.
I looked up Jean-Claude Van Damme hematoma on TH-cam and the first video to pop up was a scene from ‘Death Warrant.’ It’s a prison movie with JCVD, and In that movie Jean-Claude Van Damme‘s arms were jacked. Someone said Sylvester Stallone and another famous actor were taking steroids, and then someone else said,” I wonder if it was Jean-Claude Van Damme?” And as I saw his arms I was thinking well he probably was taking steroids at this time. And his body was muscular. I think those actors could totally take steroids or TRT so that they will look physically bigger and stronger and better than the extras. I’m trying to watch Death Warrant right now, it’s a movie I’ve never seen nor who’s scenes I’ve never seen. Lol Idk if that makes sense.
In the future you should release the whole interview first and then sub clip later. When you sub clip first, it's kind of like reading select chapters but skipping the book
@@VikingSamurai- No one knows about it until you put it out though. So until it's released it doesn't exist. But sub clipping first makes people just want the full interview. LOL
This is off top topic Viking samurai but what do you guys think, do you think Benny Urquides is a better fighter than Chuck Norris? Like if they were to engage in a full contact kickboxing match, as well as a mma fight, who would win between Benny Urquides and Chuck Norris? Someone said Benny Urquides would win. I find that hard to believe because Chuck Norris is a expert martial artist and about 50 pounds heavier, five inches taller, with a longer reach, but Benny Urquides is a full contact fighter and Chuck Norris is not.

Gawd, I love that you were getting all of these kinds of personalities on your Channel. Such great people, all around, it says a lot about you David. I'm guessing you're a pretty solid dude, too, and you deserve the success you're having now! I'm not part of your special channel, so I don't know the reasons for you stopping to pursue your ambitions in the film industry, but I wouldn't be surprised if you'd have come out with some pretty cool stuff that would have tightened up the competition even more back then. I've often wondered why I never wanted to pursue films myself - the film's I watched growing up always seem to motivate me to want to be what I saw on the screen in real life, hence my enlisting in the military.
Mark Dacascos was awesome on The Crow Stairway to Heaven
I will never forget the opening shot of only the strong...thanks again Viking for the full interview
