Vinieron a Huesca (España). (cosa imposible, claro). Era increíble: qué modernos, qué distintos. Muchas, muchas gracias. Inolvidables.

In the 70´s Up with people visit my small town in the north of Spain. Really it was really beautiful for the eyes of a boy of 7 years old. One of them rested at home, and we were very proud of that. It was very beautiful. Thank you.
In 1969, Up with People came in Rivière-du-Loup, Québec, Canada and founded a sing-ot there. I had the pleasure to become its first director.I was 22. Now, at72 I still remember most of the songs, the lyrics both in English and in french. Too bad the touring cast does not exist anymore, too bad we do not hear from Up with people anymore.
In 1974 in my Jr High class we did a performance of Up With People. I can't believe I still remember these songs and even the hand motions to the songs. It was so fun and one if my best Jr High memories. Thanks for the memories!
Thank you for posting. I was the 15/16 year old music director of Sing Out Salina (Kansas). I heard an interview by Glen Close not long ago. I was sorry to hear her recollections of Up With People being a cult (her word). I remember of pretty well everything good in my life as a teen, centered around our Sing Out. I still keep a little connected with some of our cast. Love and Light to them all.
As alumni of Viva La Gente Panama and Sing Out Erie, Pa, I am so grateful for the learning’s I received during my formation years from the leaders of both of these wonderful casts.
I was in the Los Angeles cast. It changed my life. I am so glad we sang and understood Freedom isn't Free! My children know about it because I was able to take them to see it when they were young. Valuable lessons I so needed! Bless you!
Up with people vino a Puerto Rico y dio varios shows en el Hiram Bithorn, lleno a capacidad. Thank you for sharing!
Wish it had ALL the verses such as after "eye to eye": You and I are different from each other, can that be why we need each other as we go along? Each of us is partly right, and each of us is partly wrong". Not every man can sing your tune, from where he stands there's another view...

I was with a "Sing-Out" touring cast. This was my favorite of all the UWP songs. We frequently used it as a "closer".
Still humming and singing these songs even though Sing Out Baltimore disbanded 44 years ago. Brings back so many good memories. Thanks for posting!

Mr. Knowles sporting killer sideburns!!
I am honored to have sung that song with you just 42 short years later, Willie. Did I see Pat Berry-Glassner and Eddie Jones in this video?
I saw them in Harrisburg PA, anyone know the years? One was 1984.
A few students from George Washington High school were selected to join them.
Yay Willie!
#replay
Glad to see these two songs posted...any chance of getting the rest of the CBS program onto TH-cam?

I remember Sing Out Reno County! I was in Sing Out El Paso! I made lifelong friends in SOEP and thanks to social media for bringing us back together!
